TEAM SPOTLIGHT
Grimwood, the manager of the Skull Squadron, walked up to his stable's dwelling
and saw two heavily armed Rocani along with Khel Rojida, the arena manager, hammering
a sign on the door. It read, 'Quarantined.'
"What in the nine hells is this?" Grimwood asked gesturing at the sign.
Khel turned and said, "It's a precaution. Your whole stable is sick."
"What? They were fine two weeks ago? What do they have?"
"They've got the croup. Coughing, fever, runny noses, and worse of all, pink
eye."
"Pink eye?"
"Yes, I'm going to station two guards here to ensure they don't turn into
zombies."
"Zombies? That's just something some young kids made up."
"You can't be so certain in this day and age," Khel replied.
Grimwood then heard coughing and hacking from inside the stable. He sighed
deeply. "So, none of them are up to fighting this week?"
"Didn't you hear, they have pink eye? If any of the other managers knew I'd
allow a warrior infected with pink eye fight, there'd be a riot in fear of another
zombie outbreak," Khel said.
"Another zombie outbreak?" Grimwood asked.
"Well, I'm sure there was one in the past, besides we're probably overdue. I'll
not chance it."
"What am I supposed to do in the meantime?"
"Ensure they get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids and for the love of the
gods, don't touch your eyes!"

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of ROCANIS! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team MEN OF STEEL was
unseated this week as TREXTRAS moved up from 4th ranking to take the top spot with a
2-0-0 record for the round. Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the
corner! Witness how this week TREXTRAS went 2-0-0 to move up 3 in the rankings.
KOLLOS caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested
SERGEANT 8 and was awarded 12 points in recognition. In one of the week's more
notable duels, KOLLOS put down SERGEANT 8, causing him to lose 7 points of
recognition in the process. Although IOTA DRACONIS made a valiant effort, it did not
suffice to topple the reign of victorious TAMOON. No confirmation, but my sources
claim that the top team has gained their position using magical aids. Charmed
weapons perhaps?
Many and various are the arts of battle. In ROCANIS "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! I saw one fighter that warriors avoided when
this week's challenge seeking began. MEN OF STEEL is feared. This much I can say.
Apparently the stalwarts of TREXTRAS are catching the bulk of jests down at the
challenging board for their large share of the avoids.
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune
but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? Sadly warriors, now longer can I keep thy
company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon! Till next we

SUMMER FACE-TO-FACE IN NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA!
At long last, we are finally having a summer FTF in New Orleans! It will be held on
July 15-17, 2016, at the beautiful Hilton New Orleans/St. Charles Avenue in downtown
New Orleans (504-378-2800). Room rates are $145.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy, which
includes free high speed internet. There's a fitness center, jacuzzi, indoor pool,
and business center, as well as several resturants inside the hotel. Valet parking is
