                                    TEAM SPOTLIGHT

"I'm going to die, I'm going die," Rao murmured to himself over and over, as he
paced back and forth in the main hall of the Skull Squadron stable. He was in an
impossible situation. His entire stable rallied around him when he was TV down-
challenged by Mud King of the Men of Steel stable. Three of their return challenges
went through, but one ended in Cosh's death. Being the highest-ranking member, the
honor of the blood feud went to him. While he could decline, he also knew that Bosh
and Cosh would--and have--risked their own lives for him. The dishonor of not
attempted to revenge his death, would be unforgivable in the eyes of the Rirorni. He
cursed himself for actually wishing that Mytori Priest hadn't received his invite, as
nothing got past his defenses.
Anusha, Targus, and Bosh entered the stable. Bosh grinned from ear-to-ear, while
Targus whispered something to Anusha, which cause her to smile with an unsettling grin
as she looked at him.
Bosh reached out his arms and advanced towards him. "There he is, we missed you
at Mylar's recounting Cosh's wins in the arena." Bosh encompassed Rao with a mighty
bear-hug.
     "Apologies," Rao said.
"No apologies needed, as they are tales worthy of retelling," Bosh said.
"I'm sure Rao's been contemplating Mud King's fighting style--having lost to him
already in the arena," Anusha added.
"Yes, painful lessons learned no doubt," Targus said nudging Anusha.
Rao winced from the throbbing pain of the still healing wounds from their last
match.
"Woe to the Men of Steel's stable, as Mud King's split blood on the sand will
drip like the tears I've shed for my brother's loss," Bosh exclaimed.
Anusha clasped Bosh on the back and said, "Rao will devise a strategy ensuring
Cosh's death is as good as avenged."
"Rao's victory will even be greater against Mud King, as he has not attended one
tournament, like the warriors from the Men of Steel stable," Targus said. The weight
of Targus' comment caused Rao to exhale hard with despair.
"Yes, Cosh's honorable death on the sands in mortal combat ensures his place in
the afterlife. Undgari, the Rirorni the God of the Dead himself will carry his
warrior soul to the next world," Targus said as he raised a mug he was carrying in
toast.
Anusha eyed him pointedly and said, "May Cosh not travel alone through the realm
of the dead."
Rao's stomached soured and churned with Anusha's implied double meaning.

                                      SPY REPORT

Greetings, Warriors of ROCANIS. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to
give you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. SKULL SQUADRON had
cause to celebrate, after RAO got 21 points by beating JOMMY. A certain someone
should cut down on the drinking and practice more, after losing 10 points to RAO.
(Discrete enough, JOMMY?) What can be a greater victory? DA1 has taken his place as
the top, as ROCANIS' new Duelmaster. So who's the team that's been walking into
taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! To quell some nasty rumors, the guys
in MEN OF STEEL are not carrying any incurable diseases. No need to avoid 'em. Like
a pup with its tail between its legs, SKULL SQUADRON scurried away from MEN OF STEEL.
Oh, the shame!
Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! Questions are
being raised about the disposing of severed body parts in the arena. A certain
tavern in ROCANIS would I avoid!
All good things must come to an end. More important duties call me. Can
anything compare to the pleasure of writing Spyreports for ROCANIS? On that giddy
note I take my leave-- Novgorodny Vir
