"This Rirorni steel is shi--"
"May the gods curse the nine hells!" Targus yelled interrupting his fellow
Rirorni and stablemate Krom, as he threw his broken long sword on the table in the
main hall of the Skull Squadron stable.
"Your weapon broke, too?" Krom asked.
Targus' eyes narrowed in distain at the obvious question as his eyes darted to
the broken weapon and then back to his stablemate.
Bosh walked down the stairs from the second floor, the wood creaking under his
weight, checking his battle axe for damage and said, "For all that I hold in distain
for Alastari, they do make decent weapons."
"Don't strut down here like some cock displaying his feathers. Defeat saw you in
the arena the prior turn," Targus snorted.
"Perhaps, but not today."
Crom entered the room limping and began to strip off his armor, wincing as he let
it drop to the floor. "Our brother Roc, has fallen in the arena."
Krom growled, "What stable do we turn our wrath to?"
"None. He went to Ahringol's realm with torch in hand," Crom explained.
Silence encompassed the stable for several heartbeats.
"By what cause?" Bosh asked.
"His loss to the non-gladiator scum that Rocanis throws in the arena to test us,"
Crom said.
"I lost to one of them this turn," Krom said.
"As did I," Crom said.
"Are we next to greet Ahringol with torch in hand?" Krom asked.
"There is only one way to avoid the dark arena," Targus said.
"What's that?"
"Never lose."

Notes from the arena champ.
3HK asked me to complete his tale while he goes on a much deserved vacation.
3HK started out average enough for a scum TP; a littel large perhaps. So he quickly
got on a weight lifting program to boost his numbers to reasonably respectable.
13(+2)-16(+2)-15-9-21-5-9. I had guessed his favorite rhythm (VL/LO) but not his
weapon (Large Shield). His favorite learn of defense helped tremendously to counter
his curse of -3 defensive skills. He finally earned expert at skill 19. He finishes
with the best record and highest amount of political points (9 time DM + 5 time 91+
rec.) of any graduate that I have ever managed.
I hope that is replacement is worthy.

SPY REPORT
Greetings, warriors of ROCANIS! Once again I've been called out of retirement
for my abilities and insights into Spyreporting. Woof! KNIGHTS OF NI were a bunch
of dogs after SKULL SQUADRON got through with 'em! 2nd ain't so sweet as 1st!
What's with KROM? He actually beat KNIGHTS OF NI's BROTHER MAYNARD, and walked away
with 12 more points from the fight. Major screwup at SKULL SQUADRON. CROM lost 11
points to EUROPEAN SWALLOW. Some new strategies, perhaps? Maybe CROM will provide
more easy wins... Har har har! Did 3 HEADED KNIGHT wimp out, or just get lazy?
Anyway, he's not Duelmaster anymore. I can barely restrain my enthusiam for SKULL
SQUADRON's outstanding member, Duelmaster BOSH. Wouldn't it be nice to have live
subjects to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted
prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... How well I know the
feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of practive, MEN OF STEEL!
Management must be dealin', as the boys at KNIGHTS OF NI ain't reelin'! MEN OF
STEEL's mad! How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged warrior,
TARGUS! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you. BOSH didn't quite
know what to make of a challenge he received from CHICKEN OF BRISTOL of KNIGHTS OF
NI, who is 20 points below him. CHICKEN OF BRISTOL perhaps got his just desserts,
seeing as he was defeated by BOSH and ended up with 85 recognition points.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. How long have I been here? I got people to see,
places to go...
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.
Are you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm
writing it before you read it. Oh, well. Remember--a good fighter needs both good
