Step 5 of the program:
Admit before God, yourself, and another human being the exact nature of your
wrongs.
Yes, I am a basher! And it doesn't matter that I'm lucky. I am still a basher.
Winning, losing, holding the throne, even gaining the coveted immortality will not
change the truth. I will not hide or deny my true nature.
That said, I still struggle with this step, because I have a difficult time admitting
it to be wrong, a sin. Or maybe I just enjoy it so much that I don't want to give it
up. I guess I'd better stay in the program!
I'm a Basher
P.S. Gisborne, good fight. I'm a bit surprised at the outcome given my lesser
experience, but Assur thinks he's nailed most of my faves, whatever that means. Not
sure what The Mun has as goals for you, but Assur is a pacifist and does not try to
kill warriors. Would love to have an epic battle with you all the way to both of our
graduations, assuming last turn is an indication of our future fights.
SPY REPORT
So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. Call it luck at the right time or bribes in the
right hands, but the new team VIRUS scored a 2-1-2 record this week. Hey everybody,
watch out for BURNING RUBBER, who flew up 23 points in the rankings after mashing
SYLVESTER like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy. And falling like a basher in the
top ten was SYLVESTER, who dropped 17 points after a disappointing (to say the least)
bout with BURNING RUBBER. Our battling duelmaster I'M A BASHER has managed to hold
the title, fending off GISBORNE's none too subtle advances. Better luck next time,
KIWI CONNECTION. Can you believe they are paying me 10 gold to deliver this stuff?
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
Did you hear that WHAT'S IN A NAME was most avoided team this week? Well, knowing
the personal hygiene of WHAT'S IN A NAME's warriors, I'm not surprised! Okay, so I
may not be funny, but catch BASHAHOLICS ANON's act in the arena. Those acrobats seem
to be fairly deft at running from WHAT'S IN A NAME. Well just about everybody wants
a piece of DOG CATCHER, who was this week's most challenged warrior. In a touching
display by a 'touched' warrior, I'M POWERLESS went after DOG CATCHER, who was higher
by 20 points. Well, when the dust settled, I'M POWERLESS was overcame by DOG
CATCHER.
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! Yesterday I talked to the
ISLANDERS' manager and DOG CATCHER, slayer of ALINAI. The manager: 'I think I can,
I think I can'. DOG CATCHER: 'I already did'. Here's some advice: warriors with
little wit and will may encounter problems on the trail to the Isle.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in ILLIS have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. Okay, so I may not be the
world's best comedian, but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. Its been
fun, and I'm sure you enjoyed it (boos). Now that I've got you worked up for Snide
