DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Burning Rubber got his wish and I continue my unlikely success. He was stingy
with the teaching, but perhaps that is my own fault, being distracted by being unable
to defend my throne last turn. And now, my deep dark secret is revealed. I have the
wins, fights, and political points for graduation, but the commission fails to grant
me immortality on a technicality.
I have enough skills, but the commission says that because I claim the Bashing
style, some of my skills don't count. I tried to appeal, even tried to shift blame,
saying that it was their fault for not recognizing the parry-bash fighting style.
They said to go ahead and file a complaint and that they'd be sure to forward it to
Sheila Greywand and assured me that she would respond appropriately. (I bet...)
So I'll be around for a few turns longer while I try and learn the 'right'
skills. Assur says to be patient, but I'm ready. So close and yet so far away!

SPY REPORT
So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. Hey everybody, watch out for FLAT TIRE, who
flew up 22 points in the rankings after mashing SYLVESTER like a melon. Keep your
eye on this gal. And falling like a basher in the top ten was DILLIS RHIN, who
dropped 5 points after a disappointing (to say the least) bout with H.I.V.. Well
here's a duelmaster that doesn't sit back and say 'Challenge me'! I'M A BASHER made
a Bloodfeud against DARNED SOCK this week. Well, everybody's pal I'M A BASHER moved
his record to 16-6-0 by defeating DARNED SOCK in the Duelmaster's Title Bout and
gaining 2 recognition points. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but an onion a
day keeps T.P.s at bay.
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
Well just about everybody wants a piece of DARNED SOCK, who was this week's most
challenged warrior.
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). Yes, and another newbie bites the dust as
CHAGUA MARNIR goes down under the sword of CANCER. Thanks to this, CANCER now has 63
recognition points. Congrats to I'M A BASHER for revenging the death of his teammate
(but more importantly, feeding DARNED SOCK a bit of dirt). Remember: alliances are
great, but try and take your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in ILLIS have no
sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
