Notes from the arena champ.
If my immortality wasn't so important to Assur, he says he would train me like
the most evil scum of the land, possibly reaching the magic Master Attack/Parry
plateau and then hit the weights until the commission finally decides to end my reign
after a long and prosperous run. It isn't often that Bashers have such an
opportunity.
This turn I will most likely face a commission stand in. Hopefully I don't
embarrass myself after such a great run to this point. Stormlord has informed me
that he is preparing Sudden Death in hopes he can bring glory to all of Illis. As
such, the rest of Stormlord's stable is going inactive.
That is it for now. Hopefully I'll have good news for you all next time.

SPY REPORT
Like the magnificent Sun, rising upon the Dawn and exiling the Night for a Day,
I, Novgorodny Vir, return once again! VIRUS? Who? ISLANDERS is the top team these
days, buddies! ISLANDERS had cause to celebrate, after COCO NUTTAL got 19 points by
beating FLAT TIRE. Win some, lose some. Speaking of which, COCO NUTTAL was winsome,
after beating FLAT TIRE and seeing her lose 17 points. Our Duelmaster has lost,
folks, lost to DOOMIE JUGGERNAUT, BUT I'M A BASHER is still the Duelmaster because he
has the most recognition points! So who's the team that's been walking into taverns
last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
So much to report, so little time! Is it charming personality? Conversational
abilities? Good oral hygiene? Whatever it is, BELITRIS is the most challenged
warrior.
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Ask not a spymaster for counsel, for he will pontificate long after you have
fallen into an unconscious stupor.
All good things must come to an end. As the seasons change, and the creatures
of the wild change also, so do I feel a yearning to leave this place. ILLIS, I leave

trickery, but in fact it is just a solid execution of a program designed to help

POSTED: Arena recruitment effort, DM 32, Arvat -- seeing as our arena Participation
has dwindled in recent months, we're offering the following incentive to any new
teams looking for a new home arena. We will GIVE a Free Rollup to any manager
willing to agree to fight in Arvat for the next 10 turns. We have a number of VERY
solid arena teams stockpiled, and while we don't promise tournament godlings, we are
certain we can come up with teams with 3, 4 or even 5 solid arena warriors to start
out with.
In addition we'll honor any no-challenge requests by relatively new managers to
help you get off on the right foot.

NEW TEAMS IN THE TEMPORARY TOURNAMENT ARENA (DM 85)
Please note that all new teams created at the Face-to-Face were temporarily placed in
a temporary Tournament Arena, DM 85. If you requested that your team be placed in a
specific arena, it has already transferred to that arena. Any teams not transferred
out of DM 85 by October 1 will be deleted. If you have questions about any of your

WINTER FACE-TO-FACE IN SUNNY ARIZONA!
Our next winter FTF will be held in Tempe, Arizona, January 14-16, 2011. It will be
held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Tempe, Arizona (480-894-7444), the same hotel as
last year by popular request. Room rates are $129.00 per night, 1-2 occupancy, which
includes full cooked breakfast, complimentary manager's reception (yes, really!), free
airport shuttle, free parking and free high speed internet. There's a fitness center,
jacuzzi, and pool. The rooms are blocked--please make your reservation by December 22
before the block is released! (This is prime season for Phoenix, and people have been
unable to book rooms because they waited too long.) Look for the tournament info
sheet and minioverviews some time in December. We hope you're all looking forward to
it and that we will see you there!
