Hail and well met warriors of ILLIS! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp Eyes,
Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team SHEWISH MUNCHIES was
unseated this week as HANGOVERS moved up from 3rd ranking to take the top spot with a
4-0-2 record for the round. Did only my eyes note the 3-1-0 record which CHAPEL ROCK
managed to post this round? I don't doubt that such a record will draw challengers!
COCO LOCO caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as she skillfully
bested MINI-PUMPKIN and was awarded 14 points in recognition. Not for nothing has
LONG ISLAND in the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this week it's
proven its combat skill yet again. Would you believe that over half of the old women
in ILLIS seem to feel that they could fight better than you gladiators?
Many and various are the arts of battle. In ILLIS "art" is a word that has long
since passed from the language! My inside sources tell me that the team to beat in
ILLIS these days is SHEWISH MUNCHIES. At least, most blades in town are looking to
avoid them. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that spent the
better part of last week avoiding SHEWISH MUNCHIES. Indeed it was CHAPEL ROCK.
Loose talk at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that
many fighters are after BILLY THE KID. Watch your back! Give FALSE IDLE credit for
his courage. Did you note how he challenged BILLY THE KID despite the 41 point
difference in their rankings? To be sure the battle was a losing one. But I like to
think FALSE IDLE at least gave BILLY THE KID a run for his money.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers
the miserable with fortune but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
The girls are as pretty in ILLIS as ever I remembered them....and the fighters
as ugly! Don't let your reputation slip! Sadly warriors, now longer can I keep thy
company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon! Till next we
