SPY REPORT
Greetings, Warriors of ILLIS. Allow this humble servant Novgorodny Vir to give
you a respite from the fights in the form of this Spyreport. Nothing is certain in
ILLIS, with changing loyalties, changing Duelmasters. Write this down: new top
team--BASHAHOLICS ANON. BASHAHOLICS ANON had cause to celebrate, after NEED A FIX
got 24 points by beating PILLOW FIGHT. Win some, lose some. Speaking of which, NEED
A FIX was winsome, after beating PILLOW FIGHT and seeing her lose 19 points. In
ILLIS, nothing is permanent (except Death), and we find ourselves a new Duelmaster,
HIGHER POWER. So who's the team that's been walking into taverns last week and
ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
So much to report, so little time! Like a horde of jackals fleeing from the
lion, so did the "warriors" in ILLIS avoid BASHAHOLICS ANON. The warriors of
BASHAHOLICS ANON found their efforts at combat frustrated as NEXUS 5 apparently had
more important things to do than fight. Is it charming personality? Conversational
abilities? Good oral hygiene? Whatever it is, HARBOR SEAL is the most challenged
warrior.
Ah, the duel! The roar of the oppenent, the smell of the crowd! Oh hard! that
to strike a flame, the match itself must needs be wasting!

Algernon, who had NOT gotten the name change he'd asked for, looked at the latest
petitioner. This was a typical gladiator, big, muscular, and scarred, with a frown.
"Ah, what can I do for you?"
"Name change. I heard we can do that. I'm tired of being Jane Doe."
"I'd think you would be," Algernon said faintly. "The Commission has actually
been thinking about this. It isn't FREE, mind you! It takes money to run our office,
you know, and we want to buy some goats--"
"I don't care about goats!" He made a crude suggestion about goats.
"Gladiators, teams, it will cost you two dollars to make a change--"
"I had a talk with my manager. He'll find the money. I want to change my name
to Jane Ralph. I'm no doe!" He thumped a fist on the counter.
"Er, yes. Jane Ralph. Fill out this form, please." He pushed the paper across
the counter. "The changes start on the 15th of April--that's the Ides, you know, and
