SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster here with my bag to give you the news on last
week's fights. Say good-bye to ISLANDERS, as they are pushed from the coveted top
team spot by the CHAPEL ROCK stable. Coming up with a solid 5-0-0 outing, CHAPEL
ROCK has advanced 4 places in the rankings. Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to
walk out on the sands. SHOO-CHA lost to FALSE IDLE and drops 18 points. It's a
proud day for the VOLANS stable, as their warrior, KAPPA VOLANTIS, ascended the
Duelmaster's throne. 4 out of 5 gladiators surveyed protect the body, so try and
avoid aiming at that location.
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the ILLIS arena. And hey,
kiddies, those of you who didn't avoid IMPROVED ILLUSION, please raise you hand.
Wow. Does ILLIS really have that many liars? Okay, so I may not be funny, but catch
HANGOVERS' act in the arena. Those acrobats seem to be fairly deft at running from
IMPROVED ILLUSION. Well dang howdy, but if challenges were votes, TOM BLIGH would be
president. Although it may be a contest he doesn't want to win. In a touching
display by a 'touched' warrior, SOBER FOR 7 DAYS went after TOM BLIGH, who was higher
by 22 points. Well, when the dust settled, SOBER FOR 7 DAYS subdued TOM BLIGH.
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). Here's some advice: warriors with little
wit and will may encounter problems on the trail to the Isle.
Well, there's the manager of the ILLIS giving me the 'cut' sign (or is that
'They're going to strangle you in the alley?). Okay, so I may not be the world's
best comedian, but then you guys aren't the world's best warriors. And remember, you
can pick your friends and you can pick your--(loud boos), oh, you've heard that one

Name Change-o-Rama -- Final Update
The gladiators looked around at the Commission's administrative office on the
Isle of the Eye. They'd been here before. The standard boxy building, the scurrying
clerks, the... goats browsing on the landscaping. Not as many goats this time as
before, only three. One came over to Zeke (not his arena name) and nuzzled his
pockets. He scratched at the base of its floppy ears, lacking a snack to offer. He
looked at one of the clerks. "I thought you got rid of the goats last year," Zeke
said.
"These are new goats," the clerk said with a sigh. "They're going to be shipped
out next week." He looked hopeful. "They like you, could you stay until then?"
Zeke sighed. Minding three goats sounded more enjoyable than fighting in the
arena. "I'd have to ask my manager."

Snatching his parchment away from a very determined goat, who apparently thought
it was a tasty snack, Rodney quickly dipped his pen in ink and began to write. "It is
our pleasure and honor to note that sixty-seven gladiators and teams have elected to
change their names, supporting the contribution of goats to deserving people. With
the Commission's matching funds, this has purchased three goats--a good goat can't be
purchased for a copper, you know. The goats are already en route to their new homes,
where they will be--" He paused and thought about it. "--very welcome. We wish all
