FORCES III's 4-6-0 has earned them 10th place in the ranks. I understand that The
Blind Cyclops Inn is buying the drinks for METAL MELTDOWN tonight, to honor their
rise to 11th after this turns 3-1-0. Hmmm. Now keep the taverns open late tonight,
for there are sorrows to drown for FUNKY FOLK, whose 0-2-0 this turn dropped them by
7 into 19th. The CHEER-O-KEE'S guild has had a 4-0-1 turn and deserves to be watched
in the future. You never know where this kind of thing can lead. And let's see,
CHEER FULL OWL fought HAMMER and gained 18 points and contributed to CHEER-O-KEE'S'
4-0-1. MR OBLIVIOUS has lost to CLOUDGAZER, falling 16 points, while helping make
THE UPSTARTS III a 3-2-0 turn. This turn TYPHOON XXII challenged SON OF BLOODLUST in
what was ARADI's Title bout. The attempts to dethrone the Duelmaster have failed,
and TYPHOON XXII remains ARADI's top warrior for another turn. Can someone confirm a
rumor for me? I hear the top team makes their losing fighters do dishes at The Blind
Cyclops Inn until they win. Maybe?
He who challenges well, fights well. He who avoids without cause, shall lose
for good reasons. My mama told me that one. NATURAL DISASTERS has cause to stand
tall, as they were ARADI's most avoided team. A smart manager knows this is a team
to beat. And guess who avoided NATURAL DISASTERS stable the most? Believe it or
not, it was 4000 BLOWS. Anyone surprised? The most challenged warrior this turn was
4000 BLOWS' warrior SON OF BLOODLUST. More fighters challenged him than challenged
the Duelmaster! Well now, what do you expect when someone like ONE-TIMER from DEATH
STUDS VII challenges down 19 points to fight PRETTY BOY of RED DOG GANG? It pains me
to see warriors take advantage of the system like this. ONE-TIMER overcame PRETTY
BOY, as if it surprises anyone. Building dreams on hope, BOOM challenged up 27
points this turn to take on FLASH FIRE from NATURAL DISASTERS stable. Even though
BOOM lost the fight, he at least came away with a gain of 2 points for challenging on
of NATURAL DISASTERS. In a brave attempt, BALLROOM BLITZ from METAL MELTDOWN
challenged up 25 points to fight MOUSTACHED RAT from the MY BRAIN ON CHLORINE stable.
BALLROOM BLITZ perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he won victory over
MOUSTACHED RAT and ended up with 111 recognition points.
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. HAMMER has departed ARADI, leaving THE MISGUIDED without their 10-8-0
warrior. Question, just what was his team doing at the taverns last night? We'd
like to remind certain teams not to rob the graves of their enemies. You know who
you are; and it's considered rude.

to fight bravely. Always good to rest in ARADI, but never good to wear out my

Why thank you Aradi for such a wonderful welcome! 4-1-0 is my best start to an arena
to date, as well as my second ever turn at that record! I couldn't have done it
without Manager, and his Superior Forces III. We really need to talk to the GC and
see why they felt it necessary to match us up for four of my five fights. I'm sure
this will not be the case this turn.
Also, I will be running under the JGW franchise banner, even though this is my
own team. Wellington doesn't want to be bothered by a bunch of Andorians, so he sent
me out to run this guild here. I'm sure you are gearing up to warm my welcome, and I
look forward to the run up to the TOGS, which we will be participating in.

HAMMER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Be it known from the highest mountains to the darkest alleys of Alastari that
the veteran manager known far and wide as Hammer has now officially retired from
sponsoring contests as of September 15, 2005.
What a long time ago was a fun motivated activity to help promote our common
DM/D2 gaming interest in an effort to promote the growth and competitiveness of
selected arenas has become a far from fun experience.
In other words Hammer has had it!
The combination of real life situations interfering with the time needed to
effectively sponsor a contest, plus the attitudes expressed during such sponsorship
interference has led to Hammer closing his personal coin coffers and retiring from
his planned sponsorship of any future contests.
There are others in our close knit gaming community who are well able to step up
to the plate and continue sponsoring contests that make the basic game a fun
experience for all those who choose to compete and interact in such future endeavors.
Hammer thanks all managers both active and inactive who helped to make the
Hammer sponsored contests a historical and entertaining experience well worth the
time, effort and money spent over the past several years.
May the Cheers and the Jeers of future contests build upon the legacies of those
who have paved the way in years gone by to help make this game what it is today.
Hammer has no regrets for the part he has played in that history.
