Notes from the arena champ.
Happy Quadcentennial, Jurine! Welcome to turn 400! Let there be dancing in the
streets, drinking in the saloons and necking in the parlours! Drinks are on me, or
rather IN me! All right, all right, I'll knock it off....
Last week, we saw our latest team, Clan Ghost Bear, fight their first turn, with a
nice 3-2-0 record. Hey, my boys helped with that 3! Now, if Blade and Blood would
fight again, we could have a nice, albeit small, yet active-ish arena here (not to
mention letting me avenge a bloodfeud!).
Regarding Favorite Guys and Fear Factory, I have this to say: guys, kindly lay down
your arms and walk hand-in-hand down the path of the "Peaceful Warrior"--it builds
character, plus will keep me on the throne....
In closing, I was at the inn the other day, and the barkeeper was all a-grumble
because I never leave a tip, so I gave him one: "Always make sure the shower curtain
is on the INSIDE of the tub." Ba-da-bum! I kill me!

SPY REPORT
You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to JURINE once again! What's with LOCKENLOAD? He actually beat
FEAR FACTORY's FLAME SPIDER, and walked away with 18 more points from the fight.
Laughs were big at CLAN GHOST BEARS while they watched LOCKENLOAD clobber FLAME
SPIDER. He lost 12 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. Try
as she might, CHILLILI CHES wasn't good enough at persuading AMAZONIA to step down
from the Duelmaster's throne... Advice to fighters with a 1 will--give up fighting!
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... JURINE thinks FAVORITE
GUYS and their 501-598-12 is too much! If at first you don't succeed, give up... In
my day, no team with a 500-597-12 would scare me off! What's the problem, FEAR
FACTORY? How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged warrior, TRUTH
DECAY! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. Is it my imagination, or are fighters getting
younger every day? To die so young, so gloriously!
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.

The Council of Lords would like to propose a rule change in ADM and Primus. We
propose that Lord Protectors ranked "Grand Champions" and below (ADM) and "The Tower
Guard" and below (Primus) be allowed to fight in the Dark Arena. This would not
impact the top rankings or title match. Any managers who never got his fill or shot
at fighting Gateway monsters would have it as an option. We believe it might spark
some interest in the ADM/Primus realm for some managers. If interested, speak up in
the newsletters or on forums under the "rules changes" thread and let RSI know. This
could even be something to try for 12 months and then be re-evaluated. What say you,
managers of Ghea? -- The Icelord sends....
