Notes from the arena champ.
Holly didn't show up and so here I am again taking claim to the throne of Valamantis.
It almost seems a shame that all the real contenders are inactive, but I'll accept
this gift with grace and thank Chip for a great fight. The ironic part is that Bus
is far better on the sands than I am. Yet for some reason the warriors who fight
against me are willing to meet me head on, standing right in the middle of my tracks.
I guess Valamantis doesn't send its best and brightest to the sands, or I'd be lucky
to be 5-8. The bus can even change its routine, but the law practically requires it
to give reasonable notice before it does such a dramatic thing. I on the other hand,
am old school. One way, always, without any deviation from my path.
Assur wants me to go to the Isle, but I've heard it is a pretty small place. Who'd
have need of a train on a small little island?

SPY REPORT
You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to VALAMANTIS once again! What's with BUS? He actually beat
DEVIL'S MAYHEM's CELESTIAL FURY, and walked away with 16 more points from the fight.
Laughs were big at PUBLIC TRANSIT while they watched BUS clobber CELESTIAL FURY. He
lost 10 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. Try as he might,
CHIP ENSER wasn't good enough at persuading TRAIN to step down from the Duelmaster's
throne... I suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow
fighters? Tough!
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. The
most avoided team was FISH MONGERS. In my day, no team with a 32-28-0 would scare me
off! What's the problem, PUBLIC TRANSIT? How well I know the feeling of being the
most challenged warrior, CELESTIAL FURY! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back
to haunt you.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. Many a warrior has met his fate in a hungover
stupor. You young rapscallions, take note!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? Are
you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm writing it
