clash and bustle of the weekly VALAMANTIS games. ZEUS caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested EMBEZZLING SCRIBE and was awarded 20
points in recognition. Due to his absence and inability to defend the throne, DIO
has lost the title of Duelmaster. This time victory fell to the grasp of the
usurper. All hail EB GOLLU, Duelmaster of VALAMANTIS! Informants "close" to the
city champion have told me that he never fights without pantyhose on beneath his
armor. Watch out!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report.
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the
miserable with fortune but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times

A captured orc. This is utterably thrilling. At least, it would be if he actually
WAS an orc. What does it say about the times that an elf must pose as an orc in the
arena in order to earn eating money? Nothing very good, I suppose. Gods know, I

Hmm, the Fratsfa Slave is an elf, too. Makes you wonder about those Fratsfans. I
HAVE heard they've got a lot of elvish blood up there, is this how they do it? And
for that matter, how does a southern (Shagornan) elf who was presumably enslaved in
Fratsfa, come to be in Valamantis and still a slave? Is there grounds for an
investigation here? Or is it just a case of, once you enter into slavery, getting

Yes, well, I can see why this particular Noble was slung out of Osksi. He's a were-
cat! I bet they thought he was partly Ratani or something...until suddenly there was
this lion or tiger or whatever, just when they weren't expecting it. Hard on him,
since he probably didn't even suspect. But I can see the point of view of the
Osksians, too. I mean, who wants someone around who might turn into a lion or tiger
