Notes from the arena champ.
Well, it looks like I'll be Valamantis' favorite pin cushion for a while, but it is
nice to be the Duelmaster. You'd think they'd let me graduate being 21-12 and all,
but apparently only being an expert at parrying isn't good enough.

SPY REPORT
Like the magnificent Sun, rising upon the Dawn and exiling the Night for a Day,
I, Novgorodny Vir, return once again! The boys at LEGION OF LEGEND left the arena
dejected, after being kicked out of the top spot by RIO VISTANS. Good show! SINFUL
SISTER after a sorry 2-3-0 might want to consider abandoning the sands and taking up
singing the 'Can't fight no more' blues! What's a move up by 3 you ask? (alright,
maybe you didn't ask) Cause for celebration, according to RIO VISTANS. Good things
come to those who fight well, as MASTERS OF RAGE can attest, moving up by 2.
Practice pays for T.R., who pummelled HOME WRECKER, to pocket 14 points. Win some,
lose some. Speaking of which, T.R. was winsome, after beating HOME WRECKER and
seeing her lose 12 points. JEFFRO successfully staved off a grab for the roses by
CRANKY of CHAOS ENFORCERS. Does VALAMANTIS have no one talented enough to dethrone
him? So who's the team that's been walking into taverns last week and ordering milk?
Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
And how sociable are VALAMANTIS' warriors? Come, let us see. Like the noble
eagle soaring amongst the mountaintops, so stand the warriors of RIO VISTANS, alone
and unchallenged. Like a pup with its tail between its legs, MASTERS OF RAGE
scurried away from RIO VISTANS. Oh, the shame! Everyone is famous for fifteen
minutes, and CHAOTIC THREAT is it right now. Most challenged warrior. Isn't CHAOS
ENFORCERS proud! Call 'im brash! Call 'im brassy! Call 'im brave! Call 'im sassy!
VALAMOND JR. will face BALI DARRAS, up by 29. Aaaah, just call 'im dead meat. Fixed
fights? Paybacks? Blind luck? Whatever, VALAMOND JR. challenged BALI DARRAS,
VALAMOND JR. the underdog by 29 points. CHAOTIC THREAT found himself challenged by a
warrior 23 below: MARTAVIUS. MARTAVIUS of MASTERS OF RAGE kept his wits as he
subdued CHAOTIC THREAT.
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Ask not for whom the sword slashes; it slashes for thee.

A few notes about e-mailed personals:
You may submit personal ads, columns, spotlights, etc. electronically, either via e-
mail to ads at reality dot com (which doesn't need any more spam, thank you) or on
the web at http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Ads. When you submit
something, you should get back a receipt from HAL at RSI. If you do NOT get a
receipt, your ads may have gone astray (not all e-mail makes it to its destination
any more than all snail mail does). If you DO get a receipt, it should, in the body
of the message, tell you what arena your stuff was filed in. Check your receipt to
make sure your submission made it to the intended destination. Also check to see
that everything you sent made it to the same place. Sometimes HAL, who is rather
simple-minded in some ways, will send half your stuff to another arena if the name
or number of that arena shows up at the beginning of a line. So if the word Ti
appears at the beginning of a line halfway through your ads, all the ads after that
may end up in Ti, which is closed and doesn't need ads. As a side note, sometimes
things move slowly, so don't wait until the last minute to send your ads and all.
If they get held up along the way, they may not show up until next turn. Happy

To all those lookin' for some easy pickins: I, Elfwine, manager of The Shallowship,
the most feared team in all of Jhelum, invite all who seek wide open spaces for pubs
and other such establishments of limited debauchery, to visit this deserted city and
help me clear up some of the dust. I'm just about ready to have my guys face off
against each other to get some new action. Guess I'd better join a tournament or
something...hmmmm, there's a thought.
