Notes from the arena champ.
Hail, Warriors of Valamantis. I, Squints, am proud to be your newest Duel Master.
Then again, it was by default. But hey, I've been kicking the crap out of team 1
the last couple turns, whoever they are. Well, Holly baby, you can obviously shred
Jeffro at will, but I'm ready to rumble when you decide to come back. You'd better
hurry though, I'm only two wins shy of graduation. I think.
Squints
SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly VALAMANTIS games. Former top team FISH MONGERS was
unseated this week as RIO VISTANS moved up from 3rd ranking to take the top spot with
a 2-3-0 record for the round. There were bitter words at ALL ABOUT BASHERS'
guildhouse after a 0-0-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into 11th. Dark
Arena anyone? Warriors--remember that glory waits always around the corner! Witness
how this week AS SEEN ON TV went 4-0-1 to move up 3 in the rankings. TROGLIN caught
the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as it skillfully bested CHAOTIC THREAT
and was awarded 20 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels,
BALI DARRAS put down BUZZ, causing him to lose 16 points of recognition in the
process. Unwilling to wait upon the will of others, Duelmaster SQUINTS challenged
CRANKY last week in a match to decide the fate of the throne. Not for nothing has
SQUINTS in the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this week he's proven
his combat skill yet again. Heed this! A seer has warned that if exactly 6 die in
duels this week, the whole city shall perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
Many and various are the arts of battle. In VALAMANTIS "art" is a word that has
long since passed from the language! VALAMANTIS, city of gladiators! Mighty among
the names of thy guilds is FISH MONGERS, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the
weekly duels. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to
find any of RIO VISTANS last week. Busy avoiding FISH MONGERS? Loose talk at the
arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are
after CHIA EDEL. Watch your back! A match that raised a few eyebrows at the games
this week, it seems that BERTHA posted a challenge against the more highly recognized
CHIA EDEL. The results, you ask? Well, the firebrand BERTHA lost to CHIA EDEL.
Remember warriors, this is the discipline of steel.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers
the miserable with fortune but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in VALAMANTIS. Nice atmosphere you have here! Ahh, but I can hear the

In response to the Desolate Empire's declaration of war, the Vendetta Cartel offers
the following response:
The members of the Vendetta Cartel can be found in 1, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 22, 25, 28,
31, 39, 45, 47, 50, 52, 54, 59, 60, 100, and 106. Stop yapping in the all-arena ads,
pick an arena, issue a challenge, actually win something, and then maybe (and we
stress maybe) you may speak. You may come to our home arenas (8, 31, and 47) and
confront us, but we suggest you learn to win in your own "home" arena (52) first.
