SPY REPORT
It is I, Novgorodny Vir, Spymaster of Spymasters. Look on my work, ye mighty,
and despair! AS SEEN ON TV after a sorry 1-2-0 might want to consider abandoning the
sands and taking up singing the 'Can't fight no more' blues! Nothing works for a
team like victory (How's that for a perceptive observation?) as ALL ABOUT BASHERS can
attest... Say what you will about blind luck and dirty fighting, but RIO VISTANS
will tell you 144-136-10 is nothing to laugh at... RIO VISTANS had cause to
celebrate, after CHUCK got 18 points by beating BARBUS JAE. Win some, lose some.
Speaking of which, CHUCK was winsome, after beating BARBUS JAE and seeing her lose 11
points. You could cut the tension with a scimitar as JEFFRO of RIO VISTANS met the
Duelmaster. In VALAMANTIS, nothing is permanent (except Death), and we find
ourselves a new Duelmaster, JEFFRO. So who was the warrior seen charging into
immovable walls and challenging dead trees? Someone's got a basic problem...
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! Like a horde of jackals fleeing from
the lion, so did the "warriors" in VALAMANTIS avoid GRIM OBITUARY. Like a pup with
its tail between its legs, AS SEEN ON TV scurried away from GRIM OBITUARY. Oh, the
shame! Is it charming personality? Conversational abilities? Good oral hygiene?
Whatever it is, ZEUS is the most challenged warrior. Them's the breaks, EURO SHARK.
Expecting fair challenges from RIO VISTANS is evidently too much to ask. BUZZ
overcame EURO SHARK. The whole thing leaves a bitter memory. Word has it T.R.
suffered a romantic setback. Note how he challenged ZEUS, 30 points his senior. Not
to smear a reputation, but LEGION OF LEGEND must be a little surprised, as ZEUS blew
it when facing T.R., 30 points below him.
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Those who owe BLANK 2 of LEGION OF LEGEND money and had written him off, take
note: he'S BACK FROM THE DARK ARENA!!! AND he'S MAD!!! Justice was served as
JEFFRO fought ALBACORE TUNER in bloodfeud. Well done, RIO VISTANS! Ask not a
spymaster for counsel, for he will pontificate long after you have fallen into an
unconscious stupor.
All good things must come to an end. More important duties call me. Can
anything compare to the pleasure of writing Spyreports for VALAMANTIS? On that giddy

The Saint -- I run Sinful Sisters, as well as Masters of Rage. I can also identify
one of our new arrivals in the arena. He may introduce himself this turn, but I will
do it as well. The other manager known as Carnage, or Namenlos, runs the new team
Random Sith. Elephant has also returned to the arena, but I am not sure which team
is his. It looks like we have a name to attribute to the G.O. comeback. Maybe we
should have a role call to figure out who else is running newly returning teams. --

Pauly and the Dead Squints -- You cannot blame that one on Albacore. For the record
everyone, Squints punched himself out after breaking a weapon and died in the
infirmary. Ya gotta find SOME humor in that! To top it all off Squints' popularity
GREATLY increased. You gotta love a crowd that likes to watch a suicide. -- Ghoti
Pauly -- HEY I got this idea. Your team can be the most popular and greatest show in
all of Alastari. I will go bury a longsword in the arena sand with the point up and
your team can take turns doing belly flops on it. Think of the notoriety! -- Ghoti
Squints -- Sorry Honey, (frowning actually) I don't think you are ever going to get
another shot at me. -- Holly Mackeral
All -- Everyone get ready to laugh at my expense. I know Ghoti already is. Squints,
in a fight against a scum TP, broke his weapon and apparently was "too hotly engaged
to pull his backup weapon", against an opponent who is just standing there. Squints
then proceeded to throw a few punches. The two punches he threw were parried by a
medium shield doing enough damage to beat him. The final line of the fight however
was, "Squints is rushed to the infirmary where the doctors sadly pronounce him DEAD."
Squints: 12-3-16-21-15-6-11 Ad Ex in Init, Att, and Dec. Not a terribly impressive
record or ratings but still a bummer. It's hard to think a guy can get killed by
being "struck on the left arm" twice by a medium shield. I guess his arm broke and
got so infected that he died before he got to the infirmary. Oh well, at least I got
a pretty good replacement. -- Pauly
P.S. If I sound like I'm whining, it's because I am. I'll get over it by next turn,
I promise.
Ghoti -- You had to be grinning from ear to ear when you read that fight. I don't
know what frustrated me more; having my warrior killed like that or the fact that I
lost to you again, which, if my calculations are correct, brings my record against

declared on V.C. by The Dark Knights, then war is also declared on The Dark Knights

The Avengers of Light. Another VC lackey? What's the matter VC, are you scared?
Bringing in reinforcements. It matters not, bring your avengers and they shall be
crushed! I am Dark Knight Blackstorm and I represent the Desolate Empire and can
easily be found in 8, 28, 31, 47, 54, and 106. I reply with steel and your women
shall cry when they start the body count!!!!!!!!! Remember to sign your posts to

Civil War/The Crusades
The next edition of the Civil War series is to be held in Tobir, arena 14, beginning
November 25th with a round where all participating managers must DA all 5 of their
warriors; in addition all warriors must be prefixed with an A an F or a D in the
following manner: A-Broke Stroker or (A) Broke Stroker. Names simply beginning with
the letter of your federation will NOT count as properly prefixed! Existing teams
are welcome but no warrior who survives the DA who had prior Fight Experience (arena
or tourney) will be allowed to score or challenge into the contest teams. There will
be an equal number of teams set up for each of the three factions (Andorian, Free
Blades, and Delarquan) to create sides as equal as possible. This along with the DA
round should set up pretty equal footing for all managers. After the DA there will
be another round where you can either DA again or fight your new, or surviving,
warriors so they will be set up to challenge an opponent beginning on round 1. So as
a recap DA round, turn 0, then turn 1 it begins with the following rules:
The Civil War to be held in arena 14.
- The contest runs for 10-28 turns (barring ties).
- No tourney participation allowed. Teams with warriors participating in any
tournament are disqualified.
- An even number of teams per faction worked out by the Faction Leaders. No later
substitutions are allowed.
- If a manager brings in a second team and challenges into the contest he is DQ'd and
his side will fight one team short!
- Three factions will be participating: Andorian, Delarquan, Free Blades
- Everyone prefixes their warrior with A-, F-, or D- (No prefix = disqualification of
the warrior)
- Turn DA: (The DA Round) November 25, 2006. Every warrior must DA. (Warriors not
DA'd on Turn 0 are disqualified)
- Turn 0: December 9th, 2006. There will be no scoring this turn it is meant to
allow for challenges on turn 1.
- Turn 1+: Scoring as detailed below
- Each team gets 1 point for defeating a warrior from an opposing team.
- Fights against warriors on your team do not generate points in any situation.
- The team with the most points each turn gets a Battle Point (if there is a tie for
the most points then no Battle Points are accrued)
- The first team to 10 Battle Points wins the war
- Managers of teams on the winning side each receive a +1 bonus potion to be used on
a warrior on their contest team. This must be applied within a month of the
conclusion of the contest and the team must have been active on the last turn of
the contest.
Anyone wishing to participate, and feels they can probably stick around for the
duration (don't want to handicap a side, of course unforeseeable events cannot be
planned for), should either diplo me at THE DEATH SQUAD(63) in Tobir (arena 14) or
place a personal ad in the arena. You may also contact me via the Duel2.com boards!
Let me know which faction you would like to fight for! This contest is intended to
be open to ALL managers wishing to pit themselves against each other to try and

UMZAR RALU was butchered by MISTRESS SITALVA in a 1 minute Dark Arena fight.
BLANK 2 delivered the death blow upon BLACK ORC in a 5 minute Dark Arena duel.
BEAR BOTTOM was easily killed by SHEWISH GIANT in a 1 minute Dark Arena match.
