                                 DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
                             Notes from the arena champ.

Ok...I really shouldn't be running here. TigToad decided the odds of me getting two
champions tournaments just weren't worth him not running his favorite guy in this
arena. We all know why I'm his favorite of course; it's because I'm the best. I
encourage some of you to try to prove otherwise, though we know it would be hopeless.
-- Amplitur

                                      SPY REPORT

It is I, Novgorodny Vir, Spymaster of Spymasters. Look on my work, ye mighty,
and despair! The boys at SAND DANCERS left the arena dejected, after being kicked
out of the top spot by DARK TOADS. Good show! Nothing works for a team like victory
(How's that for a perceptive observation?) as THE IMMORTALS can attest... Practice
pays for METHADONE, who pummelled TIGER, to pocket 15 points. A certain someone
should cut down on the drinking and practice more, after losing 11 points to
METHADONE. (Discrete enough, TIGER?) Duelmaster AMPLITUR from DARK TOADS is going
for the gold, as it challenged SAND DANCERS' MARDEN VOSS. Ooh, the excitement!
AMPLITUR successfully staved off a grab for the roses by MARDEN VOSS of SAND DANCERS.
Does DAL SHANG have no one talented enough to dethrone it? So who's the team that's
been walking into taverns last week and ordering milk? Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
My mother wished me to avoid conflict, and seek the gentle trade of Spyreporter.
But warriors aren't supposed to avoid fights! To quell some nasty rumors, the guys
in FEROCIOUS FELINES are not carrying any incurable diseases. No need to avoid 'em.
The warriors of FEROCIOUS FELINES found their efforts at combat frustrated as DARK
TOADS apparently had more important things to do than fight. Everyone is famous for
fifteen minutes, and CHURRO THE HOOK is it right now. Most challenged warrior.
Isn't REFUGEES proud! LEPAR challenged DISORDER! Who says DARK TOADS are just a
bunch of wimps! LEPAR of DARK TOADS kept his wits as he was defeated by DISORDER.
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... Ask not a spymaster
for counsel, for he will pontificate long after you have fallen into an unconscious
stupor.
Leave me now, you base fools! My fingers tire and I fear my incessant prattling
may cause unfair judgement upon my impeccable character. DAL SHANG, I leave you now.
The Duelmaster has agreed to foot my bill at The Blazing Unicorn. 'Til next time--
Novgorodny Vir

Marden Voss -- I've never had a best friend before...do you suppose we should stop
trying to hurt each other? -- Wais

Garfield -- Hey, write a personal. -- TigToad
P.S. Sorry I whooped up on Tiger so bad.

Ok...so I lied, but this is my last fight before I deactivate again...maybe. --
Amplitur

Yeah, right. TigToad also told me I wouldn't be coming back here and here I am. You
know how indecisive he can be. -- Lepar

A standby? Me? How could I be so lucky, eh? A really pushover. -- Marden Voss the
satisfied even with a single skill

My standby was all hairy. That kind of thing puts me off. So animalistic, you know.
-- Durvan

You gotta wonder what keeps these standbys coming back, don't you? There must be
lots of easier ways to make a living. -- Jesse Tavan

I hate traders. They're so sneaky. And rich. I love beating 'em up. -- Ming the
Terrible

And with me the Sand Dancers complete a 4-1 turn against nothing but standbys. Why
is this arena still open? -- Dilys tyl Kogan

Disorder -- That kind of thing always throws me off my stroke. I like stuff tidy.
Orderly. -- Churro the Hook

Wais -- You know, when you turn your head just right in the sunlight, I can actually
SEE the jewel in your forehead. Amazing. -- Koreen
P.S. It's an opal.

May-Ling Shen -- Not today, lady. We're on a roll. -- Murgon
P.S. Well, mostly.

And a standby to give me my second win. I like that! -- Konga Dilli

An Announcement Concerning the Brotherhood of the Blade Alliance:
I have chosen to withdraw my membership from the Brotherhood of the Blade
alliance. The years I have spent in the alliance have been the best of my DM career.
I leave the alliance with many great friends and will always remain close to my
former brethren.
The Brotherhood of the Blade will not skip a beat without my membership. It
remains in very capable hands and its roster is among the strongest in the game.
With the return on some of its founding members to DM, I know the BOB will continue
to grow in strength and prestige in the years to come. -- The Sandman
