SPY REPORT
Welcome DAL SHANG. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights
have I fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... What's with THE SWAMI?
He actually beat SAND DANCERS' DURVAN, and walked away with 21 more points from the
fight. Laughs were big at OZ 3 while they watched MCMANUS clobber TEBAS TEN KOGAN.
He lost 15 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. WITCH DOCTOR
was reminded on the sands why TITANIA is Duelmaster. Wouldn't it be nice to have
live subjects to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted
prisoners.
No matter the time or place, men will always duel.
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. Here's some advice: study your opponent, master
many skills, fight dirty.
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? All
work and no play makes Olaf a dull fighter. Work and play no fighter dull Olaf.
Olaffighterwork and no play. Time for my medication, so I'll leave now. Practice,
practice, practice!-- Olaf Modeen

PERSONAL ADS
Witch Doctor -- Well, they tell me it's been a long time since you were last seen
here. Or maybe just since one of us last saw you here. It is with great pleasure
that I note that *I* haven't been here long enough to remember you personally! But,
er, welcome back, and all that. Probably belated, but I almost never notice things
until they've been around a while. I don't know if that's because of my attention
span, or my memory. Whatever. Anyway, consider that win a (wincing) gift to welcome
you back. -- Jesse Tavan
I wasn't READY to fight Captain Lensar. He's a veteran mercenary, you know, and I'm
just some casual gladiator type. Not in his class. -- Durvan
The Swami -- Cheese louize! I wasn't trying to insult you or anything. I was just
looking for some good salami! -- Tebas ten Kogan
I really enjoyed beating up Sagat of Paidan. He's such a creep! And mean--you
wouldn't believe the stories I could tell you. But someday if you should find
yourself in Paidan (which would be really tough luck), ask why they chased him out of
town. -- Kassila tyl Dru
(snort, chortle!) Someday maybe I'll explain to Bervan the Tinker why he shouldn't
make his ARMOR out of pot metal. Or maybe I won't tell him.... -- Lorgan ten Varn
Titania -- Congratulations. -- All of us at the Sand Dancers' guildhouse
P.S. Finally!
P.P.S. Yes, we know it hasn't actually been all that long, as these things go. But
it FELT like forever.
I took a dagger, or other suitable implement, and shaved Korka the Hairy close.
Amazing. I didn't realize that spy reporters had USEFUL information. -- Churro the
Spike
I think we should send Feltar back to Illis. It isn't like we WANT his kind here,
after all. -- Dakoril
P.S. The Illisni have been nothing but troublemakers, and that's why we kicked them
OUT of Lirith Kai four hundred years ago.
Lt. Hammako -- Ah, the sinister (left-handed), mysterious.... Wait a minute. Why
are you said to be mysterious? It doesn't show. Are you a machine? Is this false
advertising? Should I protest? Should YOU protest? What's going on, eh? -- Gobarl
the totally confused
What the heck? I was walking along the waterfront, and a guy said he needed a new
man for his team, and I certainly got the idea he was talking a rowing team, or maybe
he needed a fishnet hauler, but something to do with boats, anyway. And the next
thing I know, a chick hands me a sword--what do *I* know about swords? I'm a
fisherman! And they shove me out a door onto a bunch of sand, and some ragged-ass
Tinker comes along and slices and dices me, and they call this a JOB? Gods! --
Ragolas the Unlucky
11 November 2004
All you alliance-type people, I'm trying (again!) to get my alliance listing correct
and up to date. Either send me a diplo (address it to The Saint) or send your
updates to me directly at Sue at solberg-mathews.com. As you may guess, replace the
at with @ and you're good to go (I do hate spammy mail and this will end up on the
web).
I have information on the following alliances: ADIO, Allied Axis, Armada,
Brotherhood of Justice, Brotherhood of the Blade, Cadre, CDC, Chaos, Inc., Circle of
Order, Company of Brothers, Consortium, Council of Lords, Couple Good Guys, Crimson
Vengeance, DOA, DOOMcorps, Enigmafia, Eurosquad, Fascist Federation, FONZ,
Frothingslosh Syndicate, GAPPDA, Homeland Alliance, IT Alliance, Jingoists, kLk,
Knights of the Covenant, LBA, League Arcane, Legion6, Living Essences, Lords and
Ladies of Darkness, Manic Union, Midnight Foundation, Minions of Diana, Monarchs of
Montezuma, NCA, NIMROD, R.A.G.E., Seventh Sons, The Firm, The French Connection,
Vendett@ United, and the Vendetta Cartel.
If you are a member of one of these alliances, let me know. If you are a member of
some other alliance that isn't listed, let me know. If you were at any point in your
past a part of one of these alliance but are now independent, also let me know.
Going inactive doesn't mean you get removed from this list; people are assumed to
still be in the same alliance when they return. Even having everyone in an alliance
go inactive doesn't change anything. If an alliance is officially disbanding, that's
another thing you have to let me know....
The Saint, keeper of lists
P.S. If you already responded to my online plea (and I replied), you can ignore
this.

Hammer 500-Hammer Run for the Roll Ups
Hosted by Hammer
Niytyole Island DM 33 has dwindled to the point where as of T-482 [duedate
November 3, 2004] there were only 2 active stables listed with 3 inactive stables in
a once thriving and lively regular arena.
During the past 40+ cycles Hammer has been hosting the Hammer Run for the Roll
Ups in DM 33.
Thus far only the Ripper and Slasher categories have produced winners to claim
the 5 New Team Roll Ups Prize for being the first declared Style Master of their
respective categories to graduate.
Every contending stable has gone inactive for one reason or another, including
CASINO HAMMERZ, over the past several months.
Now DM 33 faces the harsh reality that if RSI chooses to close any arenas due to
little or no interest, Niytyole Island could very well head the list of endangered
regular arenas!
In an effort to preserve his beloved island, Hammer is announcing the
continuation of the Hammer Run for the Roll Ups; combined with the Hammer 500 which
will conclude both contests on T-500 [duedate July 13, 2005] should DM 33 continue to
remain open in the coming months.
Attention Hammer Runners!
The Hammer Run is for 0 FE Basic Arena Warriors ONLY. Participants MUST Be
Declared in the P-ads On or Before their First DM 33 Basic Arena Fight to Qualify as
a Hammer Runner! Winners of Each Category will receive 5 New Team Roll Up Gift
Certificates mailed from RSI courtesy of Hammer! [On the condition that they
Graduate on or before T-500; see amended rules below!]
The following Style Master categories remain open with a listing of how many
declared contestants are still entered and their W/L recognition record at the time
of their disappearance from the Hammer Run competition:

SHOULD RSI CHOOSE TO CLOSE DM 33 PRIOR TO T-500 ONLY THE HIGHEST ACTIVE DECLARED
STYLE MASTER CONTESTANTS WILL BE AWARDED TWO (2) GIFT CERTS AND ALL OTHER PRIZE
CATEGORIES WILL BE DECLARED NULL AND VOID BY HAMMER!!!!!!!!!
The purpose of this contest is to restore DM 33 to a lively and entertaining
arena!
Hammer is willing to foot the Prize bill in a last ditch effort to save Niytyole
Island from deletion if RSI and the Gladiatorial Commission decide that more arenas
need to be closed due to lack of participation and interest.
Should this effort fail to spare DM 33 from deletion, then Hammer is prepared to
transfer CASINO HAMMERZ to another arena if Niytyole Island is closed by RSI and the
Gladiatorial Commission.
