Backlash overestimates me and my clan. We've had a great start, but I can't imagine
how it can possibly continue. I look at my team up and down and shake my head in
disbelief. Being the Delarquan manager that I am, I will be doing everything I can
to stay on the throne and on top, but my best efforts can only do so much. Thanks
for the fine words, Backlash, but if you knew what I was working with, you'd join my

SPY REPORT
Busy, busy, busy, lots of things happening in DAL SHANG this turn, and let's
start with a look at some of the teams. And let's see, RED RYDER fought TEBAS TEN
KOGAN and gained 17 points and contributed to GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS' 4-1-0. TEBAS TEN
KOGAN has lost to RED RYDER, falling 14 points, while helping make SAND DANCERS a
1-3-0 turn. This turn 5 GOLDEN WARRIORS Bloodfeuded WIDOWMAKER in what was DAL
SHANG's Title bout. The attempts to dethrone the Duelmaster have failed, and 5
GOLDEN WARRIORS remains DAL SHANG's top warrior for another turn. Tell me, is
nothing sacred? I have heard from unimpeachable sources that The Blazing Unicorn
uses trolls in their stew. Talk about gristle!
He who challenges well, fights well. He who avoids without cause, shall lose
for good reasons. My mama told me that one. I also notice that the GOT IT FOR
CHRISTMAS stable was the most avoided team this turn. Come on DAL SHANG, what are
you afraid of? And avoiding GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS more than any other team we find
GHETTO FABULOUS. DAL SHANG, are we going to accept, or respect this sort of thing?
The most challenged warrior this turn was GHETTO FABULOUS' warrior RUNE HELLFIRE.
More fighters challenged her than challenged the Duelmaster! VIRGINIA, NO SANTA of
GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS had better have a good reason for challenging down 15 points in
a challenge which he won. I thought VIRGINIA, NO SANTA showed great skill and
promise when he beat GOBARL. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? Congratulations go out to GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS, with 5 GOLDEN
WARRIORS revenging a bloodfeud against WIDOWMAKER of POSSE. We'd like to remind

HAMMER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Be it known from the highest mountains to the darkest alleys of Alastari that
the veteran manager known far and wide as Hammer has now officially retired from
sponsoring contests as of September 15, 2005.
What a long time ago was a fun motivated activity to help promote our common
DM/D2 gaming interest in an effort to promote the growth and competitiveness of
selected arenas has become a far from fun experience.
In other words Hammer has had it!
The combination of real life situations interfering with the time needed to
effectively sponsor a contest, plus the attitudes expressed during such sponsorship
interference has led to Hammer closing his personal coin coffers and retiring from
his planned sponsorship of any future contests.
There are others in our close knit gaming community who are well able to step up
to the plate and continue sponsoring contests that make the basic game a fun
experience for all those who choose to compete and interact in such future endeavors.
Hammer thanks all managers both active and inactive who helped to make the
Hammer sponsored contests a historical and entertaining experience well worth the
time, effort and money spent over the past several years.
May the Cheers and the Jeers of future contests build upon the legacies of those
who have paved the way in years gone by to help make this game what it is today.
Hammer has no regrets for the part he has played in that history.
