SPY REPORT
Like the magnificent Sun, rising upon the Dawn and exiling the Night for a Day,
I, Novgorodny Vir, return once again! The boys at GOT IT FOR CHRISTMAS left the
arena dejected, after being kicked out of the top spot by POSSE. Good show! Nothing
works for a team like victory (How's that for a perceptive observation?) as SAND
DANCERS can attest... Say what you will about blind luck and dirty fighting, but
POSSE will tell you 76-70-5 is nothing to laugh at... Practice pays for JOHNNY SIN,
who pummelled KO LAO-DEN, to pocket 21 points. Win some, lose some. Speaking of
which, JOHNNY SIN was winsome, after beating KO LAO-DEN and seeing him lose 8 points.
Can you believe it? 5 GOLDEN WARRIORS apparently has better things to do as DAL
SHANG's Duelmaster than show up and fight! Now I can't insult VELVET CRUSH, as she
has gloriously dueled to the top. Oh great new Duelmaster!!! (Stop me if I lay it
on too thick) Word has it one team in DAL SHANG is taking speech lessons to try to
bore their opponent to death. I'll bet it works.
And how sociable are DAL SHANG's warriors? Come, let us see. Perhaps the
warriors of MIGHTY DUCKS should take up some hobbies, as they are the most avoided
team... As a woman of good breeding scorns the "warriors" of UNDERGROUND KINGS, so
did that sorry team shy from MIGHTY DUCKS If challenges were horses, CORROSIVE KITTY
could open up a fast food joint! CHADDEAUX NOIRE challenged TEBAS TEN KOGAN! Who
says UNDERGROUND KINGS are just a bunch of wimps! CHADDEAUX NOIRE of UNDERGROUND
KINGS kept hers wits as she was overcame by TEBAS TEN KOGAN.
The moving sword slashes, and having slashed, moves on... Questions are being
raised about the disposing of severed body parts in the arena. A certain tavern in
DAL SHANG would I avoid!
Do not think spyreporting in DAL SHANG is the highlight of my life. Keep those
sands bloody and the buzzards fat! Can anything compare to the pleasure of writing

HAMMER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Be it known from the highest mountains to the darkest alleys of Alastari that
the veteran manager known far and wide as Hammer has now officially retired from
sponsoring contests as of September 15, 2005.
What a long time ago was a fun motivated activity to help promote our common
DM/D2 gaming interest in an effort to promote the growth and competitiveness of
selected arenas has become a far from fun experience.
In other words Hammer has had it!
The combination of real life situations interfering with the time needed to
effectively sponsor a contest, plus the attitudes expressed during such sponsorship
interference has led to Hammer closing his personal coin coffers and retiring from
his planned sponsorship of any future contests.
There are others in our close knit gaming community who are well able to step up
to the plate and continue sponsoring contests that make the basic game a fun
experience for all those who choose to compete and interact in such future endeavors.
Hammer thanks all managers both active and inactive who helped to make the
Hammer sponsored contests a historical and entertaining experience well worth the
time, effort and money spent over the past several years.
May the Cheers and the Jeers of future contests build upon the legacies of those
who have paved the way in years gone by to help make this game what it is today.
Hammer has no regrets for the part he has played in that history.
