"There!" Harith said, pointing to the trampled snow. "Along that edge over
there, see the tracks?"
Garno looked and shook his head. "The snow's all chewed up with traffic. You
can't really TELL about those tracks. They could be weird, or they could just be
ordinary tracks that've gotten messed up."
"Well, we could follow them a little ways and see if we get a clear print,"
Harith said. He felt exasperated by his teammate, and though he wouldn't admit it,
he was beginning to be a little bored with the tracks. They didn't seem to be good
for anything but arguing, and argument made his head ache.
Garno looked at the tracks and with his eyes traced their course along the edge
of the small plaza to the mouth of a narrow passage. "No... I don't think we'll
follow these."
"You mean, you're SOOO sure that I'm WRONG--"
"No, I mean there's a chance that you're right, and I'm not going to follow
weird tracks into that dark alley. Not just the two of us."

                             Notes from the arena champ.

Huh, I expected more from you, Harlequin. A... a dance, maybe. Or jokes.
Someone told me that harlequins "cut japes," but since I don't have any japes that
need cutting--or even know what they are--I think we'll pass on that. But I didn't
expect you to just STAND there. Wake up, woman! You stand around like that, the
aliens will get you!

                                  Harith ten Moru

                                      SPY REPORT

You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to DAL SHANG once again! What's with KOLACTAN KABOB? He actually
beat CASTAWAYS' TOES, and walked away with 23 more points from the fight. Laughs
were big at CASTAWAYS while they watched SILVER EYES clobber MARAN TEN PALAN. He
lost 10 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. I'm sure DAL
SHANG is excited about HARLEQUIN, the new Duelmaster from SERPENTS HOLD. (remember?)
But when you've seen as many as I have... Wouldn't it be nice to have live subjects
to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges...
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? TOES of CASTAWAYS didn't know when to quit. When you've got a
8-13-0, that's a good sign. Now he's dead. Is it my imagination, or are fighters
getting younger every day? To die so young, so gloriously!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? DAL
SHANG is a nice place to live, but I don't like to live in nice places. I don't want
to overstay my welcome...-- Olaf Modeen

All -- I am getting together as many Duelmaster players as possible to play in a game
of Hyborian War as a change of pace. We already have 17 players that are interested
and we are trying to get as many as possible involved before I submit the list to
RSI. I am collecting the names and top 3 kingdoms that the players are interested in
and submitting it myself so we can all play in the same game. If you are interested

Huh, everybody's on about tracks. I can tell you who makes weird tracks: the

Are those feet? I thought the were, um, foot-masks. You know, special boots built
to make all kinds of strange tracks. There's a place in the Bazaar that sells them.
