SPY REPORT
It is I, Novgorodny Vir, Spymaster of Spymasters. Look on my work, ye mighty,
and despair! The boys at BASH BROS REMOTE left the arena dejected, after being
kicked out of the top spot by BASH BROS LIGHTS. Good show! Like a chunk of francium
heaved into a wet pond, BASH BROS TRAIN blew up the rankings to 20! Managers were
muttering after DEADLY RAGE showed DRAGONHEAD what they could do: 1-0-0 to move up
by 17. Good things come to those who fight well, as BASH BROS LIGHTS can attest,
moving up by 1. MONGREL HORDE had cause to celebrate, after UNDERDOG got 24 points
by beating LOST IN COUCH. THROUGH UR TEETH certainly had a baffled expression on his
face, after losing to NONSTANDARD and losing 12 points in the process! The arena was
more crowded than usual this time, as BREWER faced DRAGONHEAD's Duelmaster. Now I
can't insult BREWER, as it has gloriously dueled to the top. Oh great new
Duelmaster!!! (Stop me if I lay it on too thick) Word has it one team in DRAGONHEAD
is using psychics to predict wins. They lead a charmed life!
So much to report, so little time! Like a horde of jackals fleeing from the
lion, so did the "warriors" in DRAGONHEAD avoid OUTLAWS. Like a pup with its tail
between its legs, BASH BROS ROADSIDE scurried away from OUTLAWS. Oh, the shame!
Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes, and MAGIK is it right now. Most challenged
warrior. Isn't X-POSSE proud! Willing to win at any cost is TAKENOUTOFTHEROOM, who
challenged DOMINO, 14 points junior. Our sympathies, DOMINO! I thought
TAKENOUTOFTHEROOM showed great skill and promise when he bested DOMINO. All right,
so I slept through it! Big deal!
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Q: What's a record like 20-2-1 get you? A: A free trip to the Dark Arena!
This week's winner: MELTING FLOOD of BASH BROS SNOW! Hey BASH BROS SNOW! Is there
some deep dark, unmentionable secret as to why MELTING FLOOD has been sent to the
Dark Arena? 20-2-1 isn't so shabby! Citizens of DRAGONHEAD, be sure to settle your
debts with HACKED TO PIECES of FEAR FACTORY 13. He's relocating to the Dark Arena
and has other things on his mind! Perhaps MONGREL HORDE were the only ones left
untouched by LOST IN COUCH demise. Can anyone ever take his place? Or do I
exaggerate? Questions are being raised about the disposing of severed body parts in
the arena. A certain tavern in DRAGONHEAD would I avoid!

From: The Office of Accurate Census Reporting, Gladiatorial Commission
To: All Managers
In the interest of preserving our natural resources and preventing managerial writer's
cramp, the census form has been eliminated, effective immediately. Managers may
register their warriors' races and/or favorite sayings by simply writing them on a
separate piece of paper and submitting them to the Commission. Each warrior may have
up to 15 favorite sayings. Each saying must be categorized Jeer, Gloat, Boredom, Ouch,
Victory and may be up to 70 characters long. For any questions, please contact the
Gladiatorial Commission.
TEAM AND CHARACTER MAINTENANCE SERVICE
As a service to all managers, we offer team and character maintenance. This
option allows you to make sure your team or selected warriors will never miss a turn!
Team Maintenance: This will cause all warriors on that team to fight every
turn; if it's an AD arena, any new warriors who arrive on that team will
fight the turn they arrive. In A.D. or in transfer arenas where you have
multiple teams, each team will need to separately be on Team Maintenance.
(The only exception is new warriors; they will not fight until they have had
their initial strategy input.)
Character Maintenance: This will cause only that warrior to fight every
turn. If the character graduates or changes arenas, he/she/it will stay on
Character Maintenance.
In either case, you may submit strategy sheets for your warriors each turn, if
you wish. The Team/Character Maintenance will make sure your warriors fight each
turn, and they will always use their most recently entered strategy.
Remember that challenges, avoids, and challenge/if challenged strategies will not
carry through from turn to turn. These sections are only used on the turn they are
entered. In order to continually challenge or avoid you will need to submit a
strategy sheet each time.
One other thing to remember about maintenance: Maintenance is not something
that you write on your turnsheet (like in demo tourneys). In order to add or remove
maintenance for a team or warrior, you must send a note to Customer Service. If you
just write things like this on your strategy sheet, they may or may not get done.
Likewise, don't write it on your personal ads. Please, please, please put it on a
separate piece of paper with "Customer Service" written on the top. If you don't,
well, you can imagine.
