DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Again I hold the destigous Duelmaster's position in this very quiet arena. I
can't understand why the arenamaster has allowed the grass to grow in most areas of
the fighting arena of Daiyla Kiv? It's a disgusting thing to see and I want answers
and soon! Hell...I am praying that one of these fine gladiators will make a
challenge and fight for the golden chair which I now sit. Last turn I was matched up
with TRAVELING TINKER and won in two minutes...no big deal, but was hoping that
"someone", "anyone" would stop up and make a challenge...and from the way things
look, it will not happen? I suppose most of you are getting ready for the tourney
and I respect that and hope all of you do well. I thank you all for being such great
hosts...really I do appreciate it very, very much. The attention that I am now
getting from the finest ladies from is just grand...just grand...I'll tell ya! Wish
this could last forever! Life is short so take nothing for granted. I must now be
on my way for more training to keep my mind, body and blades sharp and keen. Again,
thank you all for making this such a "CAKE WALK". You have been very supportive and
very understanding. "Smile!" Remember...this is my last fight for a while! WINK!!!

SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly DAYLA KIV games. Former top team GURTARG'S AXES was
unseated this week as SAND DANCERS moved up from 3rd ranking to take the top spot
with a 5-0-0 record for the round. A new guild, IMPERIAL BASTARDS, entered DAYLA KIV
with a clash this turn, showing off a 3-0-0 record. Indeed, a worthy addition to the
city guilds. RONSEVAN caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he
skillfully bested AULDRYMBREI and was awarded 25 points in recognition. In one of
the week's more notable duels, RONSEVAN put down AULDRYMBREI, causing him to lose 21
points of recognition in the process. This time out LOQUE made his bid for the
throne as he challenged ADALIUS in an all out contest of skill for possession of the
title! This time victory fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail LOQUE,
Duelmaster of DAYLA KIV! Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that
he never fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. DAYLA KIV, city of gladiators!
Mighty among the names of thy guilds is SAND DANCERS, a guild shunned and avoided by
many in the weekly duels. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard
pressed to find any of GURTARG'S AXES last week. Busy avoiding SAND DANCERS?
Is not Death a warrior's foremost adviser? Warriors, may this counselor stand
ready at your right hand forever! Some say a warrior is judged by the way he bears
arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
