DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
This may be two successive columns arriving all at once due to problems with hal.
Hello, Jade Mountain! Thanks, Ling, for a memorable 20th fight. I am the first
member of Runeblades to make it to the Isle. I have had many great fights and a
number of superb victories here. I am sure Sand Dancers will be happy to see me
leave, as I have had great success against them. Special thanks goes to Claws of
Night. I hope to see you very soon on the Isle. Cheers, Jade Mountain!
Xavier
Well, it's been a very long time since I last held the throne here, but I don't
feel much like celebrating. I'm going to miss Starr. Winter Rose, it looks like I
am mostly likely to face either you or a stand-in. Either way, I will do my best to
be ready. I am not challenging anyone.
Your Duelmistress,
Anda
SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster here with my bag to give you the news on last
week's fights. Hey everybody, watch out for DEADLY FORCE, who flew up 17 points in
the rankings after mashing CLAWS OF NIGHT like a melon. Keep your eye on this guy.
And falling like a basher in the top ten was IRON HANDED, who dropped 6 points after
a disappointing (to say the least) bout with TEASER II. Well, everybody's pal ANDA
moved hers record to 13-7-0 by defeating WINTER ROSE in the Duelmaster's Title Bout
and gaining 7 recognition points. Advice to bashers--never force anything, just get
a bigger halberd!
But enough of that bunch, let's get on to the wimps who like to avoid battle!
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). Ask not the elves for counsel, for they
will say both yes and no. Silly buggers, eh?
Well, there's the manager of the JADE MOUNTAIN giving me the 'cut' sign (or is
that 'They're going to strangle you in the alley?). Well, there goes another Spy
Report. Good luck in next week's fights. See ya next time I'm on this circuit!--

PERSONAL ADS
Kogan -- Glad I could help. -- Anda
Winter Rose -- Three and a rating? Wow, thank you so much! -- Ling
Xavier -- I know, the style matchup favored me, but your hatchet scares me!
Hopefully, I'll see you at the Isle soon. -- Anda
Locutus -- Thanks! -- Teaser
Jade Lotus and Jorja -- I don't think that was why Starr said she didn't want any
more matchups. I always try to avenge deaths, but I don't believe that was in any
way intentional, so the Bloodfeud should reflect that. -- Guido
All -- Starr was 3-3-14-13-18-12-21, Aimed Blow. A three Con Aimer is pretty much
destined to die, but I was starting to get my hopes up once she got past her first 10
fights... -- Guido
Ling -- That has got to be a false outcome, as well as a false overture. Actually, I
suppose... not bad. -- Winter Rose
Rage -- I have struggled with rage all my life. Glad to win this one. -- Kogan Djian
Ghost of Starr -- That was not intentional, but you must realize that you were
betrayed by your style? Everyone says that what aimers do best is die. -- Jade Lotus
P.S. Of course, it didn't help that the orderlies dropped you on the way to the
Infirmary....
Angel -- That was NOT angelic. -- Claws of Night
Iron Handed -- Definitely. -- Ko-Hain the badly bruised

looking forward to it and that we will see you there!
