                             Notes from the arena champ.

Well, I'm back one last time. Winter Rose, we've got to stop meeting like this.
At least now I have a different potential opponent in Deadly Force. I'm going to try
out the tactic they say I'm naturally suited to, but I don't think it goes well with
a punch. Heck, I've never even been in a fist fight! Oh, well, hope to see you all
at the Isle one day.

Anda, Lady Protector

                                      SPY REPORT

Well, what are you looking at, JADE MOUNTAIN? Ain't you never seen Snide
Clemens before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. Of course, we're all terribly
impressed to see WINTER ROSE win a fight and gain 12 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, PIP
beat MAORI and MAORI lost 12 points. You're breakin' my heart. And if variety is
the spice of life, JADE MOUNTAIN may be getting bland, as ANDA stays top dog in the
city. I'm not in a very good mood today, but why am I telling you this? You want to
know what's new, don't you, JADE MOUNTAIN?
Well, let's take a look at some more misdeeds of you miserable sword-boys.
Some people like volunteer work in the hospitals. I volunteer for JADE
MOUNTAIN's morgue. More variety. Honor is like a chainmail shirt, it only shines
through use. Certain nameless cowards will doubtless rebuke me on this one.
There's got to be a better place in JADE MOUNTAIN to get a drink than The Green
Axe! Any suggestions? Phlllt! Just had to do that before I leave the fine city of
JADE MOUNTAIN. I feel much better now. Glad to see the back of this place-- Snide
Clemens

Jorja -- I tend to always add points to Wit, Will, and Deftness first, only leftovers
go on strength and con unless I need to avoid little damage. In Starr's case, once I
had gotten the "big three" to the highest break points I could, I threw the extra
point on Will just to see if I could graduate the 3 Con, 3 Str warrior. Of my three
Aimers in AD, one started with a 13 Con, one with a 7, and one with a 5, so low con
doesn't scare me. -- Guido

Jorja and the Dancers -- Thank you! -- Ling

Winter Rose -- Here we go again. At least, if we meet up again, I will be using a
slightly different strategy. -- Anda

Jade Lotus -- Well fought, especially considering the experience difference. Our
Bloodfeud never went through, but sometimes things work out. -- Ling

Deadly Force -- Nicely done, and you never even hit me cleanly. I think perhaps you
should change your name to "Slips By." -- Nareen

Stone Hammer -- This is becoming a habit. How about we meet in the bar, instead of
the arena? -- Archenax

All -- Forgot to post this last turn. Ling is 5-11(2 -18-16(1)-21-5-11; Ad Ex in
Parry and Initiative, Ex in Attack and Defense. Favorites are VL/Low, Scimitar,
learns Init. Forty plus Lord Protectors, and she's the first to get the Scimitar.
She's headed for Home Guard. -- Guido

All, again -- Anda is 13-4-11-21-15-9-11; Ad Ex in Attack and Decise, Expert

Initiative. Favorites are Mod/Mod, Fist, Lunge tactic, and learns Parry. I have
heard a rumor that they had done away with the unsuited tactic/weapon combos, but I'm
sure that was after she was rolled (10+ years ago). -- Guido

Anda -- And you got your rematch (I wouldn't mind facing someone new, either!) and
your graduation. So, congratulations from us to you. -- Winter Rose, Jorja, and the
Sand Dancers

Ling -- Why am I not surprised? -- Jade Lotus
P.S. My great thanks for the skills.

Iron Handed -- I wished I could have done something to rust those hands before the
fight. -- Ko-Hain

Untamed Beserker -- The worst thing about that fight is that, though we have a
massive difference in experience, it was not called "uneven." Damn. -- Claws of
Night

Archenax -- I suppose I established a bias with that first loss, didn't I? -- Stone
Hammer
