DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.

HUZZAH! It's with much surprise and excitement I find myself crowned Champion of the
Jade Mountain arena. After our team's long hiatus from this fine city's fightin'
sands, I'm glad there wasn't too much rust to shake off to get back in fightin' shape.
I wouldn't have believed the crown was within reach so soon. Checking with our
manager, I'm only the second member of my team to claim the title of Duelmaster.

I'd be remiss if I didn't thank Horrifying Attack for ending his massacre of the Dark
Arena and all those in it to give me this chance at the throne. I was sure he'd
continue the purge until he graduated. Glad he gave one of the regulars a chance.

My challenge this turn goes out to Hound Archon, as he seems most fitting. Good luck
to you all except those that fight Sword for Hire.

SPY REPORT

You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to JADE MOUNTAIN once again! Biff! Pow! JADE MOUNTAIN watched
with glee as SWORD FOR HIRE got knocked off top spot by SAND DANCERS! It seems so
recently people were saying SAND DANCERS was washed up, finished. But 4-1-0 moved
them up 1. I guess they're washed no more... What's with MEADOWLARK? She actually
beat SWORD FOR HIRE's K.O., and walked away with 28 more points from the fight.
Laughs were big at SAND DANCERS while they watched MEADOWLARK clobber K.O.. He lost
21 points and got bruised from objects thrown from the stands. I'm sure JADE
MOUNTAIN is excited about HOUND ARCHON, the new Duelmaster from APOKOLIPS.
(remember?) But when you've seen as many as I have... Wouldn't it be nice to have
live subjects to practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted
prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... JADE MOUNTAIN thinks
APOKOLIPS and their 63-78-4 is too much! If at first you don't succeed, give up...
In my day, no team with a 59-77-4 would scare me off! What's the problem, SWORD FOR
HIRE? How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged warrior, HOUND
ARCHON! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you.
Warriors of JADE MOUNTAIN unite. You have only your games to lose! Here's some
advice: study your opponent, master many skills, fight dirty.
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.
