SPY REPORT
It's me, The Unknown Spymaster here with my bag to give you the news on last
week's fights. Say good-bye to ROCK-ETTS II, as they are pushed from the coveted top
team spot by the WILD KINGDOM stable. Coming up with a solid 2-1-0 outing, TREE
PEOPLE has advanced 3 places in the rankings. Advancing in the rankings was WILD
KINGDOM who went from last turn's 16-7-0, to this week's record of 20-7-0. Hey
everybody, watch out for MISSED, who flew up 13 points in the rankings after mashing
IRLON like a melon. Keep your eye on this gal. And falling like a basher in the top
ten was CLUMSY DAN, who dropped 7 points after a disappointing (to say the least)
bout with CHIP-WOOD. Well, everybody's pal MOONSTONE moved hers record to 17-4-0 by
defeating VETERAN MERCENARY in the Duelmaster's Title Bout and gaining 2 recognition
points. Can you believe they are paying me 10 gold to deliver this stuff?
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the LIN TIRIAN arena. And
hey, kiddies, those of you who didn't avoid TREE PEOPLE, please raise you hand. Wow.
Does LIN TIRIAN really have that many liars? For those of you who like math, try
this one: TREE PEOPLE + Weapons That go Boom = WILD KINGDOM + Avoid City. Well just
about everybody wants a piece of TOE PAL, who was this week's most challenged
warrior. In a touching display by a 'touched' warrior, VALIANT TITMOUSE went after
TOE PAL, who was higher by 24 points. Well, when the dust settled, VALIANT TITMOUSE
overcame TOE PAL.
Remember that an arena is not always a safe place to be, but it is one of the
most interesting, though! Knowing when to use the right tactics at the proper time
is a very important step on the road to Duelmaster.
I think I had better cut this one short. It's been nice chatting to those of
you whom I have not offended yet. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some tracks. Its been

TOURNEY FREEZE CHANGE -- ADVANCE NOTICE
Beginning at the Winter Face-to-Face in Tempe (January 2004), we will implement
several changes affecting tournaments. The tournament announcement for the upcoming
FTF and future tourneys will reflect these changes.
First, we will eliminate the tourney freeze for all regular DM warrior classes.
Regular DM warriors will not be classed ahead of the tournament, but instead will
fight according to their FE on the date of the tourney. There will still be a freeze
for the ADM classes, occurring on the same timeline as before, approximately 6 weeks
before the tournament.
In addition to the above change, the warrior classes will be slightly altered.
The new tourney classes will be as follows:

All regular DM tourney classes will remain solely FE based. All ADM classes will
now be based on warrior characteristics (i.e., the ADM split algorithm), including the
Freshmen class.
The Gateway and Primus arenas will be merging before the FTF to form one top
arena. These warriors will be split into two tournament classes, the Contenders and
the Primus classes, again based upon their characteristics. More information on this
will be published in the newsletters for those arenas.
