The smoky tavern sat on the edge of Shadowspire with music and raucous laughter
echoing across the clearing that stood before it. The sign over the door swayed in
the wind and proclaimed the name as "Last Hope Bar" with the image of a man reddened
with what appeared to be blood clutching a short blade. The name fit the place,
since those who frequented it were the worst sort, gladiators and those who preyed on
gladiators.
Inside, a small crowd has gathered around the only individual of note in the
establishment, Sal "Three-fingers". As people jostled for a better position, the
wizened old figure adjusted his ragged armchair to be more centered on the raised
platform that served as a podium. As the chair slid, the stack of books under one
corner fell and he grumbled as he replaced the errant tomes amid catcall attempts at
humor. After testing the chair was secure, he softly sat in it using his arms to
support his weight as he lowered himself to the torn leather.
As he settled himself, the first thing noticed was his left hand which lacked
the middle and little fingers. No one knew why the middle finger was missing, but
the little finger was rumored to be the price for failing to win a Tourney Champion
Prize for an unforgiving manager. As for him, his head was shiny bald on the top
with a swath of gray-white hair that went from one ear to the other around the back
of his head. His face was pocked from some old fight with a disease which appeared
to have been barely won and a scar along his forehead which created an impressive
cleft. His brown eyes watched as his arm brought a brownish substance of his own
concoction to his lips and then caused a grimace as it passed his lips and rolled
over his tongue and down into his stomach. His cup descended to be held atop his
ample belly as he leaned back, reveling in his refreshment.
Leaning forward, he surveyed his audience, a small grin adding to the hills and
valleys on his face. Taking another swill from his drink, he leaned forward
conspiratorially. At his movement, the crowd silenced expectantly.
"Greetings one and all. Sal be grateful fer yer makin' the trip to be seeing
him. I reckon yous want to knows about the goings on of the new 'rena?
"Bah! Shadowspire! Bunch of worthless panty-wastes if you ask me. Of course
they don't train em hard like when I fought so I reckons I should not be too hard on
them. Okay, so heres what I can tell yous.
"After two turns of combat there are 14 'warriors' with 20-23 Recognition points
vying to be the first Duelmaster with the front runners being that offensive lout
FULTON and that pathetic welp DJAIK. Of course they are just at the top of the heap.
Can you believe that there are still 55 undefeated initiates?! 35 teams still have
contenders for perfection!! I'm telling you it is unheard of. Why in my day we
would have given all of them a sound drubbing....
"And who appears to be offering the most to the fledgling Gladiatorial
Commission? Well my sources say there is a reason why JUST CHILLIN, VAMPIRATES, and
RAGNAROK'S WOLVES each have three warriors who are undefeated.... Between you and
me, skill is pretty low on the list of reasons for their success. My sources say a
few strategic bags of copper to the right people help a lot more....
"Of course while we are on this subject, I reckon I should mention that KATHOUSE
and AS SEEN ON TV II, appear to have cut back on their bribes. The evidence is
evident in their three warriors with NO wins after two rounds. There are some others
who should take note as well, since 29 teams have warriors who seem incapable of
getting a victory wreath. Of course, this could mean that the warriors are just
incompetent, but I don't care to make any assumptions like that. At least, not
without a small token of appreciation....
"Speaking of the low end of the rankings, 41 pathetic slobs stilled can't find
the win column. Kinda makes you proud to be affiliated with them, don't it? Of
course, they are better off then those guys that are off to the meat market. Another
18 dead this turn, 8 in night fights and 10 at the hands of their arena-mates,
although no one has managed to kill any of the murderous poppin-jays that fill this
arena. How many fit this category, you ask? 19 warriors are already signed up on
this list...AND IT'S ONLY TURN 2!!
"It appears that CHILDHOOD HEROES does not like to play nice after they dropped
two warriors into the meat grinder and became the first team in arena history to kill
multiple opponents on the same turn. Amazing that, since they could not seem to
buckle their armor on correctly on Turn 1.... And FULTON becomes the first warrior
in the history of our little arena to slay two warriors as well as the first to start
his career at 2-0-2.
"Yous know.... The arena denies that the bodies go to the meat market, but I'm
sure I'm not the only one to find links of chainmail in my soup from time to time.
Coincidence? I don't think so....
"And what is up with MULLETS! and WAR MACHINE? 2 night fights on the second
turn? Hey, I understand that some guys just aren't cut out for the arena, but after
a little while you have to give SOMEONE a shot!!
"In the coward column this week, we see AARDVARK HAMMERZ and ASSASSIN NATION as
they decide not to even TRY to avenge their dead on the sands. Of course there are
those who will scream that the paperwork got lost, but do any of yous believe that?
Really?! Personally, I smell fear. And RAMA THE SHARK reeks. Of course I would not
really be scared if I were him, even he can beat anything that them STREET WALKERS
could throw his way. Wouldn't mind wrestling one o' them girls myself, now that I
think about it.
"Exhibiting the scummy side of cowardice GHAS faced ICICLE in a 19 minute fight
that killed spectators with boredom. This is why I think wild animals should be put
in the arena as well. At least it would make the fighters move occasionally!! Of
course, I can understand in these two's case. When you have a pebble for a brain
it's easy to forget what you are there for. Luckily GHAS decided it was his nap time
or they might still be standin' there.
"I'd mention the biggest loser and biggest winner, but since everyone is still
learnin' which end to poke, slash, or bash with, I reckon I'll wait on that. Now if
any of you knows any 'gladiators', tell them to hurry up and crown a Duelmaster. I
am ready to bad-mouth the poor sucker. Before I get a refill though, you should be
careful of AUSUBEL and DAISY CHAINS. Both won their first fights to get 12
Recognition Points plus a free hour at the Kathouse. Not sure which was more
motivation for them though....
     "Someone get me another drink...."

It was a project nearly two solar cycles in the making, and life was busy within
the newly crowned arena and town. Shadowspire was bustling with life and everyone
took the opportunity to join the new arena and make their mark within the history
forming in front of everyone's eyes. Looking upon the five story building upon the
arena, Joseph G. Wellington was overcome with emotion from his first business
undertaking past the managing of warriors. The Gringolet Lounge overlooking the
arena was a tremendous project, towering five stories from the arena floor to the
private suite that would be his home within Shadowspire.
Lord Xiang was standing beside the beleaguered manager and new entrepreneur when
he noticed a figure walking toward them. Even though he and Wellington had noticed
their friend Seraphim walking toward the front of the establishment, the two old
friends continued their conversation.
"And can you imagine a day when he is enshrined in the Hall of Fame as a manager
of field warriors?" Lord Xiang asked rhetorically.
Wellington shifted so he could see the approaching friend of recent. "And to
think his managerial style has allowed a youngster to possibly become the best of all
field warriors. It is truly amazing. Seraphim, how does life treat you here?"
"Not as well as our friend here. Have you told him of the joke?" Seraphim
added.
The joke was simple enough, that the managers who resigned from Amicitus
Primoris had gone to succeed in tournaments, and that would not come into play due to
the Gladiatorial Commission's decree on the new arena. Both Seraphim and JGW had
enjoyed sharing a table ringside at the last tournament and toasting each manager's
success. Lord Xiang did not look impressed by the mention of a "joke", which he knew
about.
"When do you plan to open the dive?" Lord Xiang asked to diffuse the tension
brought upon by Seraphim's comment.
"It will be open for the beginning of the third turn. I plan to have plenty of
festivities for the opening."
"I would hope you both would attend the fights at the private overlook of the
arena?" Wellington knew the answer but always would add the formalities of a
gentleman.
"Without a doubt, even if my warriors may not be fighting long," Lord Xiang
added as he started walking down the street. "Sword high, brother."
Both Seraphim and Wellington answered in unison, "Sword high," to their friend.
The crowded street began to overflow in front of the duo as many a manager
started toward the Commission's office to post their warriors challenges and await
the announcing of each match-up for the upcoming fighting cycle. Rillion was
striding toward the office when Wellington gave a salute from the front of the
building, which was returned as the storied manager continued to the office. Others
were walking or running to the area so their strategies would be considered before
the fights were announced. The scene was reminiscent of ants marching to their work
without care to their surrounds, except for a few who were savvy to notice what was
going on around them. Smitty, the local Consortium representative, slowly walked up
the street and acknowledged the two in front of the new establishment as he allowed
the impatient managers to flow in front of him. Everyone from the Greek Guy, who
Wellington could respect all year except for one day, to Le Pentarque and Blackstorm,
who were favorite managers with accents among all of the managers who had landed at
the new arena. Hammer had mysteriously appeared from behind the duo and walked
toward the office while giving a courtesy slap on the back of Wellington and Seraphim
as he passed. Apex had been seen with something he called a "teal blue" tunic that
had a number of "ninety" on it, which befuddled the duo. Ikillu, Den, and Crambus
had dressed in dark clothes to avoid notice, which made them all the more noticeable
in the crowd. DeGotti was sitting across from the lounge with some instrument that
reproduced sound within his ears, and doing something he called "head banging" to
"indie art-rock."
And more came down the street from Detective Kellumbo, to Vindicus, to SNuln (as
he was to be called during the festivities in North Fork), and on until the crowd
died down and eventually went away. Wellington motioned to his friend to come into
the building to survey what had been a massive undertaking from the start of the
construction of the arena.
"Unfortunately I need to post challenges too, so I must depart." Seraphim
saluted Wellington as he walked toward the entrance of the Commission's office.
Wellington saluted his friend back and walked into the building.
Once inside the beleaguered manager walked up to the bar and received ale from
the werecat minding the first floor. He casually took a couple of swallows before
retreating to the stairwell to the above floors. Once at the stoop, Wellington
looked back to stare upon the glory of wood and stone that made the lounge what it
was. A gathering place for all managers before, during, and after the fights, the
first floor featured a gambling parlor for those who wanted to bet upon the winners
and killers of the round. The glory of the architecture was amazing and encompassed
the entire city had to offer to all the managers. Savoring the ale, he started up
the stairwell to the second floor which housed the private viewing booths of the
arena which were along the inside wall to the arena, and the outside walls to the
arena which overlooked the street had rooms for those who did not care to return to
the guild-house for whatever reason. The third floor was another observation area
over the arena for those who did not get along with the inhabitants of the second
floor, with the same arrangements for sleeping. The fourth floor was unable to be
reached unless a person had the proper key to open the door. Once at the fourth
floor the five rooms for warriors and a small training area in the center of the
floor was noticed. The floor served two purposes; one as a training area before a
warrior entered the arena, and one as a buffer between their manager and the outside
world, for whatever reason. Once at the top floor, Wellington strolled to his
private viewing office and sat down at his desk. The view over the arena was
breathtaking. Wellington savored this ale to the last sip and then sat the mug down
on his desk while pondering his next move for the Femme Fatale warriors who were
lodged below him.
After a few minutes of swimming in his meditations, Wellington got up and
retired to his private room to nap and consider an arena life where everyone would
have an even footing and without the travels to the central place of tournaments for
Alastari. Yes, this would be a different experience for him and all involved in the
new arena.

P-ads that the Veteran Manager had Not Witnessed since his Days in Noblish Island
Arena!
GrimmDorr noticed a glint in the Competitive Eye of Hammer that Shone Ever
Brighter!
     "The Fellowship!"
That is what his friend Hammer had replied and now GrimmDorr was beginning to
understand the Full Meaning of what Hammer was Now Motivated By!

[TIME JUMP]
Hammer looked intently as GrimmDorr mercilessly provoked the AARDVARK HAMMERZ
gladiators to increase their training procedures in preparation for the upcoming
Third Cycle Sand Matches in ShadowSpire Arena. Hammer perceived that his friend The
Warrior Dwarf had taken upon himself to truly transform this stable of underachievers
into a force to be reckoned with on the DM 81 Battle Sands!
"What the [BURP] is the [BURP] purpose of [BURP] increasing our [BURP]
training?" gasped SPIRE BURP HAMMER. "It's not like [BURP] we have to [BURP] get
[BURP] prepped for a [BURP] Tournament...."
The Icy Glare of Hammer forced the newest AARDVARK HAMMERZ gladiator to refrain
from spewing forth any more words to the contrary as GrimmDorr doubled the pace of
their practice a mere two days before registering for the Third Cycle Sand Battle in
ShadowSpire Arena.

[TIME JUMP]
Hammer was elated that a "Dirty Dozen" had already made an Active Agreement to
Petition the Gladiatorial Commission to Open a New SLOW ARENA No Tourney Arena by
readying Stables, Pledges and Registrations for the New Historic SLOW ARENA No
Tourney Arena that was yet to be Named and Located by the Gladiatorial Commission.
Doc LeGrand, Blackstorm, Hammer, Apex, Wretch, Phantasm, Kayelbe, Coach [of The
Consortium], Drake, Snow Miser, Vindictus and Baphomet had already made their Blood
Pledge to Populate the New SLOW ARENA No Tourney Arena with the Most Competitive
Gladiators They Could Field in the Least Possible Amount of Time!
Hammer had received confirmation from the Gladiatorial Commission that his
AAAARRGH HAMMERZ stable was Registered along with His Pledge. Now was the time to
Send the Call Across Alastari to Cross Blades in the New SLOW ARENA No Tourney Arena
with a Collection of Managers and Stables Quite Unlike Any that had Ever Assembled in
a Slow Arena....

The salle was a scene of ordered chaos as the five young warriors went about
their training. A large, dark haired man was twirling a quarterstaff, trying to keep
the short spear of an equally young red-haired woman away from him and managing to
look almost graceful doing so, despite his size.
"Damnation, Barry! Stand still and fight like the mountain you are," seethed
the young woman. "If I didn't know better, I'd swear you were reading my mind."
"Now Callie," Barodan rumbled in a basso profundo that seemed to echo from his
toes, "And who was it that had the telling you I wasn't?" With a teasing grin, he
motioned her to the attack, lightly side stepping her overly aggressive lunge and
tripping her easily with his staff, laughing loudly as she sprawled face first in the
saw dust. Gathering herself, Callina rolled to her feet and turned, ready to charge
back into the fray.
"HALT!' cried a strong soprano voice. Disregarding the command, Callina began
to move towards Barodan, her eyes sparking fire. "I _SAID_ Halt, MS Aillard. Or
would you rather continue the lesson with ME," The voice continued, ice creeping into
the words. "Just because you're my niece doesn't mean I won't run you around this
salle and show exactly how to use that pig sticker you're so fond of." Moving
between the two, Dio Ridenow kept her eyes on Callina until the tension left her
shoulders and her spear was grounded. "As for you, Barry.. I understand WHY you
were goading her, but you two are a TEAM and you should be working to help her
control that temper, not exacerbating the situation, understood?"
"Aye, M'Lady," rumbled Barodan followed by a subdued echo from Callina. Just as
Dio was about to continue the instruction, a more normal sized figure approached.
"Pardon, M'Lady, but there's a messenger at the door asking for you. He said
something about the Commission..." he trailed off, almost snapping to attention as
Dio's eyes flashed toward the door and her whole posture changed, almost as if she
heard the call to battle. "Thank you, Erkym. I'll be right there. All of you, go
get cleaned up and meet me in the library in thirty minutes."
The five trainees watched her leave, marveling at the way she moved, not one
extraneous movement, her whole body at her command. "You know...I don't think I EVER
want her coming after me with THAT sort of attitude," mused the second large figure.
"You've the right on that, Airyc," rumbled Barodan. "It's of a sudden I'm
thinking she could wipe the floors of this very same room here with the lot of us and
barely break a sweat."
"It's hard to remember she's a Lady Protector," agreed Callina. "And with that
thought in mind...let's go get cleaned up...wouldn't do to tempt fate."
"Suddenly you've seen the light of reason, Callie?" asked the final member of
the group, yet another amazingly large figure as they headed towards the bathhouse.
"Oh, hush, Chum. Just because you manage to keep your mouth shut more than most
of us..." Callie retorted, the voices trailing off into the distance, all full of
good natured snipping and sniping.
                                      ********
The young messenger stood nervously, looking around and wondering how much
longer he was going to be kept waiting. "So, you've a message for us from the
Gladiatorial Commission, young man," Dio asked.
"Well, I have a message for a Sir Kendric Stormblade. Could you direct me to
him, Ma'am?" the messenger responded a bit haughtily while thinking to himself that
this young secretary should just inform her boss and get out of the way.
"You can give the message to me, lad, I'm authorized to sign anything
necessary."
"I'm sorry, miss...it REALLY must be Sir Ken..."
"Are you SURE you want to be difficult about this young man." Dio interrupted
him before he could get to puffed up in his job. "I'm Lady Protector Dio Ridenow,
Sir Stormblade's WIFE and Co-Manager. And if you make me get my credentials, you
might find yourself out of a job...and MAYBE spending some time in the infirmary as
well."
The young messenger wilted, utterly astounded at the tone of her voice, not
realizing he'd handed the paperwork over or that not ONCE had her tone of voice risen
above normal conversational levels. Struggling to regain his composure, he tried to
pass on the final bit of information. "Y-y-you just n-need to-to sign on the b-bb-
bottom of the last page, M'Lady."
Taking a short moment to read through the document, Dio began to smile as she
realized that FINALLY they'd received their license and charter for the arena.
Reaching the end of the document, she almost choked before beginning to laugh
uproariously at the name her husband had chosen. Signing the document, she handed
one copy to the messenger and sent him on his way, speaking quietly to herself, "The
Basik's Own, indeed. You have a very warped sense of humor, Kendric...."

RETIREMENT VILLAGE CAUSING A STIR--ARUAK CITY. Is that a twinkle in his eye? No, it
is just a cataract. This and many other elderly ailments can be witnessed at the
Consortium Old Folks Home For Not-So-Young Persons. The retirement home, typically a
place of strange smells and applesauce, has recently found itself at the center of
controversy. The new Elderly Activity Director Smitty has replaced the docile
retirement games of yore with a more active line up. Family members of the residents
are concerned. One frightened relative said, "I'm scared he [father] is going to
break a hip. Do you know how hard it is to replace a parent? You can't just thumb
through the classifieds and find people giving one away!" When questioned about the
dangerous geriatric games, Smitty, also manager of Life Impacts in Shadowspire, gave
rehearsed responses of, "HUH? WHAT DID YOU SAY? SAY IT IN MY GOOD EAR!" Here are
just a few of the horrifying games played at the Consortium Old Folks Home For Not-
So-Young Persons the SYP witnessed first-hand:
     Sag, You're It
     Hide and Go Pee
     Kick the Bucket
Red Rover, Red Rover, the Nurse Says Bend Over
     Simon Says Something Alzheimer's Induced
     Pin the Toupee on Soultaker
SYP will keep you abreast of the situation as the story develops.

MANAGER VOWS TO DESTROY ALL HE CANNOT MANIPULATE--DWES EG. After lengthy
conversations with Manager, we here at the SYP feel there is no need to write this
article. He [Manager] made some very compelling points and we would only be wasting
the readers' time by going into any detail. We feel our readers will be better
served if the SYP nominates Manager for an award. He has told us any award will do
just as long as it is, "Something big! And don't you try and give me one of those
crappy arena awards either!" What a swell guy and possible "Alastarian Manager of
the Year"!!!!

APEX KEEPS BRAGGING HE IS 4TH IN LINE FOR CHAIRMAN--LYRATILAN. "Since being elected,
he is totally fixated on the idea of being Chairman," says White Spider, a gladiator
in Apex's Lyratilan stable. "We used to focus on tactics and opponents, now we just
hear about how he could be Chairman through freak accidents." Others in Apex's
gladiatorial guilds have noticed his attention has been diverted of late. "It is
really becoming annoying and that is all he talks about in every team meeting," an
anonymous member of Apex's guild said to SYP reporters. Flow charts of succession,
disaster charts, and even allergy charts for the other Shadowspire Committee members
decorate the walls of Apex's gladiatorial guilds. "I don't know where he gets these
crazy ideas from," says Sniper, a member of Apex's Platoon guild. "I am seriously
worried about his mental capacity to carry out his duties as out manager here in
Chimlevtal, which is pretty important. If he was unable to function in his role as
manager, I am next in line to replace him as the senior member of this team," Sniper
later added.

                                      SPY REPORT

Well, what are you looking at, SHADOWSPIRE? Ain't you never seen Snide Clemens
before? Ah, shaddup and listen to my news. With any luck, I can sneak into The
Swinging Aardvark and join KELLUMBO'S KIDS' celebration over their good record this
turn. 10th place, not bad. If The Swinging Aardvark is buying drinks for DESOLATE
ONES' good turn, I'm afraid the place will be dry before long. A 4-1-0 makes for a
big thirst. With any luck, I can sneak into The Swinging Aardvark and join THE
MONGOLOIDS II's celebration over their good record this turn. 23rd place, not bad.
Oh, this is too good to be true! LIFE IMPACTS has fallen to 25th place after going
1-4-0 this turn. Who's bragging now? If The Swinging Aardvark is buying drinks for
RED IRON KNIGHTS' good turn, I'm afraid the place will be dry before long. A 4-1-1
makes for a big thirst. Why not, I'm having a good day, so I feel sorry for CLUB
CUTTHROAT, who went 1-4-0 and dropped 13 into 32nd. Here's my pity, for what it's
worth. Look out below! ERRATA is on the way down, falling to 33rd from 18th with a
1-4-0! Ha ha ha ha! Gee, I'm impressed, a 4-1-1 is nice, but don't get cocky,
RAGNAROK'S WOLVES, the Fates teach humility, and the Fates are proud. I can just
hear all the boasts coming in BLACK ROSE's next personal ads. Their first turn they
went 4-1-0. Of course, we're all terribly impressed to see IMPALA win a fight and
gain 22 points, terribly. Tsk, tsk, IMPALA beat KRYSTA and KRYSTA lost 14 points.
You're breakin' my heart. And it's out with the old, in with the new, as ALBERTA
CLIPPER takes the Title and last week's bar tab from the old Duelmaster. Heh, heh.
Kickbacks and bribes, kickbacks and bribes, how else do you think some of these guys
win their fights? Skill? Ha!
He who fights and runs away will live to fight another day, the coward. What's
the big D? MIGHTY MEAD ORCS was the most avoided team? Bunch of lily livered...
grumble... mumble... curse... And it looks like DRAGONBANE GUILD avoided them the
most this turn. What a pack of would be losers, if you ask me. Hmph. Ooh, I'm
frightfully impressed, JORD was this turn's most challenged warrior. Watch that ego
swell, sports fans. Now look at this. KIRI FACADE challenged down 16 against
LITERATE LOONS' J.G. BALLARD. What a weasel! Ha ha aha ha aha ha!!! KIRI FACADE
was was bested by by LITERATE LOONS' warrior! Thank the gods for big favors! ha! I
guess I can give a little credit to BIG BROTHER of CHILDHOOD HEROES for challenging
up by 18 to HOOK. BIG BROTHER lost to get 3 points of recognition.
Ah, now we come to my favorite part, where we see all the guys who are dead and
gone, and get to see if their team cared. And now a passing thought on a warrior
dying young (LONELY RAGE of RAGNAROK'S WOLVES): You had your chance and now you're
dead. Oh well... A big yahoo goes out to DRUGE this turn, for revenging CULT OF
BACCHUS' bloodfeud against WAR MACHINE's warrior FULTON. Heh, heh, heh. It's about
time FULTON got beat for picking on warriors like DRUGE. Bravo, CULT OF BACCHUS.
See you at The Swinging Aardvark. Not that I'll be buying the drinks, but I'll be
glad to see ALDEBARAN and DRAGONBANE GUILD at The Swinging Aardvark tonight
celebrating their bloodfeud victory over CHAUCER. It's about time MANX got beat for
picking on warriors like LIGHTNING HAMMER. Bravo, AARDVARK HAMMERZ. See you at The
Swinging Aardvark. A big yahoo goes out to RAIN OF EMBERS this turn, for revenging
ETERNAL ABYSS' bloodfeud against CHILDHOOD HEROES' warrior PAPA SMURF. Heh, heh,
heh. Honor is like a chainmail shirt, it only shines through use. Certain nameless
cowards will doubtless rebuke me on this one.
I was about to buy a new quill pen the other day, but some fighter took it for
an epee. Forgive me for writing with a dagger. Just wait 'till next time I show up
here, I won't be so nice! So nyaaah! Paste this one in your scrapbooks, you'll need
the kindling come this winter-- Snide Clemens

Necromouser -- Let's see if your necromousic dark arts can save you now!!! -- Chaos
Lord

All -- Lifespark was the dead weight on the team, I was kinda disappointed he didn't
get killed last turn--11-5-15-11-21-10-11 LU got hosed-poor/good. -- Dark Knight
Blackstorm

DK Goat -- Hey Bro!! looks like we'll have to do a "come from behind" on them next
turn. Are any others coming? -- DK Blackstorm

Apex -- C'mon be nice, let's not get it going...then again WAR is always cool, haha.
Besides this is proof that U started. (wink) -- Blackstorm

Llud -- C'mon give me a break!! This is the forth time Blackstorm has torn me from
the nether regions to fight, and it's not getting any easier, I keep forgetting
things. -- Bloodrunner

Recrudescence -- That was just plain rude!! -- Stellion (still hurtin')

Cold steel does not scare the Lord of Chaos!!!! I use it all the time. -- Chaos Lord

Lost Boy -- Do you ever...looks like you found the sand ok though. (snicker) --
Bloodrunner

Vynar -- Ghads, again!! I must be unlucky or something. Maybe another weapon? --
Bibidybob

All -- I have been advised by the Players' Committee to explain why I am a man short
this month. Due to a great distance my mail takes a while to get to me, so when you
kill one of my warriors it also means I have to run a man short for one turn. That
is why I'm gonna get real nasty with this bloodfeud!!!!!! -- Blackstorm

Y'all done it! Yowser! Round two done done! Yehaw! -- Smitty

Indimar -- Yup, I done be thinking ah met that there Barnabas feller. Seemed a
decent un. Little shifty, maybe? Yup. -- Smitty

Drake -- We understand that Deke's monumentous donation for the start of this arena
included significant allocations for a 400+ warrior locker room. Now that's thinking
ahead. What a guy! -- The Consortium Scribe

Yo, Hammer. Yon Snuffy be muh Pop. Yessir. -- Smitty

Rillion -- What a very nice thing to say to Smitty and The Consortium. Back at you,
pal. -- The Consortium Scribe

'1090' -- Wow! That was an exciting one. I feel like I eked out the win in
overtime. -- Purple Ace

Jack Daniels -- I always wanted to get into a chugging contest. -- Extrusion

Le Pentarque -- Thank you very much for the "tribute". You are too kind. Now make
that SOB win! -- The Consortium Elders

Arakan -- Now if you are planning to attend my class, you had better come prepared.
-- Mrs. Vaughn

Skinner -- I think I was very lucky. But I sure will take it! One more win for The
Bulldogs. -- C.H.S.
P.S. We need the wins. CHS, the second smallest high school in Indiana, just
recorded its first basketball win in two years. Anything you can do to help....

Ed. -- That was despicable! To Pauly, "may ants infect your cookie jar". Poor
Pauly. That was so rude of you, Ed. Loved it! -- The Consortium Scribe

One good turn deserves another, or so I've been told. -- Ed.

Jim Beam -- Yeah, I know I challenged. I thought I could hold my booze, but I guess
it's back to Bud now. -- Cantex (head hanging low)

All -- Keep up the spots and personals and the chatter on line. Shadowspire is
becoming the talk of the town! Each of you deserve a big "thank you". Salute. --
The Consortium Elders

Yo! Kellumbo -- It is bad enough that you use my good name for one of your thugs, but
then you send him off to die in the dark--very risky!!! I suggest you "Chill Out" on
that stuff! -- The Cold One, Mr. Freeze

Dark Enclave -- I won't apologize for killing the unfortunately named Lifespark, but
I do apologize for nibbling on his corpse (he smelled like Cheddar and it was a
lunchtime fight). -- Necromouser

Full Moon Swoon -- I put more holes in you than a slice of Swiss cheese and you still
pulled it off.... Nicely played. Nicely played, indeed. -- Micepick

Red Dragon Hammer -- I can live with losing to you; it's the deluge of personal ads
in relation to it that I dread. In any case, you were faster than I expected, so
well done. -- PlagueNog

Papa Smurf -- I thought our fight was just, well, actually, it was "smurfy". It
required three cleanings to get the blue stuff off of my blade. -- Trg Chinsnapper

Drake -- I am vexed, greatly vexed. You made the comment last turn "I see the AA are
making friends already." Could you please not only enlighten me, but the entire
world what you meant by this? To this point, we have not uttered a single syllable,
but that has come to a conclusion now, driven by your blatant ignorance. You are a
dunderhead in the true fashion of the word. Please, sound off mighty Drake and
explain yourself. I have talked to the Arenamaster about drawing up "Papers of
Slander" against you for this outright unsolicited attack. Also, I am sure your
grade-school education will be befuddled by this, but you used the improper

preposition, should have been "I see the AA is making friends already." Remember
idiot, it is better to be thought the fool, than to speak and remove all doubt. --
Den

It was nice to read all these RP spotlights...and perhaps even nicer to read our good
old Smitty! Let's hope we will also have beautiful fights on the blistering sand. --
Le Pentarque

Now, please step in the open light, shy managers who are still hiding behind your
warriors!

Well, Full Moon Swoon, I liked our fight too...but why did your manager send this
brittle friend of yours on my sword? I guess we are going to meet again. Or will
you try a faster way? -- Import-Export, surprised

Xon -- You were a little big to catch my little cat. -- Le Pentarque

Don't be jealous, Smitty, I can see you rising.

Slice that big rat, Blackie ! -- Le Pentarque, again

Well, well, well...I am still up here and I gotta tell you I like the view. My boys
like this time of year--nice and cold, stuck in the deep freeze. We figure we gotta
do our thing now because some day it will thaw out and we could be in trouble. For
now I just hope for a long-cold-winter, a winter of my content. -- Mr. Freeze (you
can call me MF for short)

Hey Ms. Countess -- What a temper you have. I mean the Barnyardness wasn't worth all
of this trouble was she? Why waste your energy on this--shouldn't you be trying to
find your husband--I think I saw him hanging on the corner with Big Bird--you should
go check on that. So Just Chill...Frosty--out!

Var -- Welcome to Shadowspire. Good to have you here. -- Rillion

DeGotti -- Good to see and hear you here. -- Rillion

Huckle Cat -- I look forward to your arrival. -- Rillion

Lord Xiang -- Yes the early numbers here are promising. Hopefully we can sustain
both the quantity and the quality. -- Rillion

Master Beru -- Hey, someone needs to help everyone else out. Your and Indimar's
efforts are appreciated, although I wish I could benefit more directly. -- Rillion

Le Pentarque -- Maybe your guys should try fighting those weird funny warriors
instead of running into them. -- Rillion

Pauly -- Fortunately for Ed. the reading here isn't as disturbing as Aradi, yet. --
Rillion

I sincerely hope that Aradi remains unique. Shadowspire should be allowed to
develop its own flavour. -- Ed.

Vindictus -- I am sure the fellow managers of Shadowspire will appreciate your
bleeding. Thanks for the offer. -- Rillion

Hammer -- Hey cut it out. You are making me seem shy by comparison! I did manage to
get part one out last turn. Part two might be delayed due to the craziness of
purchasing a new guildhouse. -- Rillion

Apocalypse -- I am confused. Are you a pirate or a vampire? Or are you a pirate
vampire or a maybe a vampire pirate?!? -- Rillon

Mr. Freeze -- Congratulations on having been the first top team and also managing to
be the first two time top team holder. -- Rillion

Slade -- Greetings to you as well. May your team prosper here, just not as much as
mine. -- Rillion

Kat -- Oh, but I like teams that are welcoming. -- Beregdraug

Extrusion -- Sorry, I am not like you, even though I am like you. -- Angrendraug
P.S. Learn to spell, but I guess you might not be that smart.

Holda -- Shoulda, coulda, woulda, but you didn't. -- Beregdraug

Brendan Behan -- That match up stank. If it were not for bad luck, I'd have no luck
at all. -- Celegdraug

Cheshire Rat -- Hrmph, filthy rat. -- Bregdraug

LPGA -- You been shorn. -- Angrendraug

Allana D'Rav -- Since the death occurred on my challenge, I shall only bloodfeud you
until you have been beaten once. -- Rillion

All -- Well I am attempting to use the gladiatorial commission's automated personal
ad submission web golem. I hope it works and is able to handle the Hammeresque
number of posts. -- Rillion

Fulton -- Correction! Looks like your first six fights will be vs. Cult of Bacchus.
-- DeGotti

Glad to see things got more lively turn two. -- DeGotti

I would like to introduce my newest sultry warrior...Flor. She is a beautiful
rose...but beware of her thorns. -- DeGotti

DEATHONTHESANDS, RED IRON KNIGHTS & LEGION OF SOLITUDE -- Tsk Tsk on you for missing
turn two. You know that means the first round of drinks is on you guys for everyone.
-- DeGotti

Degotti -- Looks like I haven't had much to worry about. -- Fulton, War Machine

Shadowspire -- I'm piling you thugs like firewood. I'm looking forward to many more.
-- Fulton

Jaque Hammyr -- Another swing would've made you the deadest hammer in Shadowspire. --
Slogg

Drake -- What friends are you talking about? Nobody for the AA had spoken yet. I
already have enough friends anyway. -- Crambus, mgr. of War Machine and Head Court
Jester of the Allied Axis

Warden Kinchloe -- Giggle.... I'm just happy to get my first win, I'm not laughing
at you...honest...giggle. -- Daisy Chains

Rama The Shark -- Come out, come out where ever you are!!!! -- Roadkill and the
Street Walkers

Serina -- Thanks!!! Looks like it's time to live up to my last name and stop being
so nice. -- Misty MEANER

Long Nose Hairs -- I may be sleazy, but I'm not stupid.... Was losing to you so
pathetic that I couldn't even learn a single skill? -- Sleazy Susan

Ira -- Maybe you should roll it over for retirement. -- Dirty Diana

Mullets -- I'd like to say sorry for the untimely death of Tophat, but let's face
it...if you can't beat me you have no business in the arena.... Yes, I REALLY am
that bad. Believe it of not, I was aiming for the legs, so tell your warriors to get
their heads out of their butts and maybe it won't hurt so much. -- Baglady

Mirdraug -- Don't be so dramatic. Just because I was ABOUT to kill you, doesn't mean
I actually would have. That Arenamaster is such a worry wart. -- Red Tail

Ed. -- How did you know I have a candy jar, as well as a chronic ant problem? Are
you spying on me? (looking around nervously) -- Pauly

I'm no spy (I don't have the time), but I do have my sources. *mildly demented
     laugh* -- Ed.

Indimar -- Do you want to change your mind about that wager? Although, I guess I'm
only two wins ahead of you. Deal. -- Pauly
P.S. Speaking of stones, after last turn you may want to check the arena sands for
yours. Reasty!

Nuln -- I hope for the sake of the arena, you fight this turn. The reastiness level
was dangerously low last time. Do I even have to remind you what happens to arenas
that lose their reastitude? (shuddering) Gods, I can still hear the screams. --
Pauly

Manx -- I may have won, but I don't think I'll try my luck again any time soon. --
Red Tail

Gutenberg -- I have a confession to make. (breaks down crying) I never learned how
to read! I wanted to ask for help during the fight, but there just never seemed to
be a good time to ask. -- Winterbraun

Hazer -- Hmm. How did you know getting stabbed in the side of the head was my only
weakness? -- Sol

Ha-Thrust! -- That's fine if that's your name, but did you have to yell it every time
you attacked? It got kind of annoying. -- Czechvar

e e cummings -- Was my blood on the sands puddle-wonderful? That hurt you

Scribe/Free Blades Mercenary

Consortium? -- At least we got you on the rebound. One for two is better than 0-for-
1. -- Aldebaran

Da Vinci -- I thought that might work. Not your best masterpiece. -- Anvil

Chaucer -- Hhmmm...I guess we have a death to revenge. But, the odd thing is, you
killed the warrior that would have been used for the bloodfeud. That seems a bit
awkward. I guess I'll give it a shot. -- Aldebaran of the Dragonbane Guild

Snake Eyes -- Maybe you just need to get out of that odd costume you're wearing in
the stories? To be blunt, it isn't working. -- The Baron

Rillion -- Well met. The pleasure is all ours. -- Vanek

Calypso Tan -- No sense waiting, let's get this rematch underway! -- Trajen

All -- Considering I was only able to get one p-ad in for T2, I thought I would catch
up. -- Lord Xiang, mgr. AARP

Turn 2:

TGG -- Looks like you can start talking trash, as you didn't go 0-5 T1. :D -- Lord
Xiang

Aranthar -- Welcome to Shadowspire! Your name is new to me, so I welcome you to this
addiction we all love! -- Lord Xiang, mgr. AARP

All -- Anyone else love the all-arena stuff from time gone by? :D -- Lord Xiang

Djaimz -- You lasted longer than I thought you might. Impressive. You will do well
on the Isle...if you survive that long. -- Colostomy Bag

Devine Bovine -- I am so better than what I showed you! How DARE you make me look
that bad. Grrrrrrrrr -- Aluminum Walker

Barkily -- Got to love being beaten by my style! :D I thought it was quite
impressive, considering how it all started. -- Long Nose Hairs

Bladesmen -- I await your bloodfeud. Bail's death at my hands proves that he was not
worthy to compete in this arena, ergo, not worthy to be on your team. Consider this
an effort of mine to improve your stable. I will not charge you for my assistance.
-- Sponge Bath

Borne -- I WILL have my revenge upon you later! I cannot abide knowing I cannot win
against an opponent. Bah!! -- 4" Thick Glasses

All -- 14 Dead, 10 in daylight, no less. I wonder if this arena will become the
deadliest arena in the game? Where's Mannequin? He'd be at home here. Grin -- Lord
Xiang

Turn 3:

All -- Holy smokes! All the spots...reminds me of TOGS. (commences to wash his own
mouth out with soap) I hope some enterprising writer(s) get some kind of
storyline/background written for the arena. It would be nice to see something
develop along those lines. I, however, am not much of a writer. It does not mean I
cannot appreciate the efforts of others. :D -- Lord Xiang

All -- Still no DM. I don't believe that being ranked above the Initiates is
required, as you can have a 2 FE warrior as DM (under the right circumstances). I
think it is because last turn and this turn we had the top two warriors have exactly
the same recognition totals, hence the fact that we have no unchartered recognition
leaders as well. Hopefully, T3 will break that logjam. If not, it is starting to
look as though we have an actual race to the Throne underway! -- Lord Xiang

All -- 18 dead this turn, and once again, 10 were in the daylight. Is this going to
be a standard? 10 warriors killed each turn by non-Commission warriors? On the flip
side, 5 dead from T1 were avenged, but that still leaves 3 more turns to kill them
off...bloodfeuds are just that, feuds! Keep the blood flowing! -- Lord Xiang, proud
Delarquan

Var -- It is excellent to see you here! I wish Ragnaraok's Wolves the best of luck
in the arena, but please treat my stable of geriatrics with kid gloves. They forgot
to take their Geritol today. -- Lord Xiang, mgr. AARP

DeGotti -- Greetings to you as well! May the crowds sing your warriors praises for a
long, long time. -- Lord Xiang, mgr. AARP

Huckle Cat -- Don't fret. Yes, missing Turn 1 is a PITA from the "I was there at the
start" perspective, but you are still here in the beginning, and able to help
influence the direction of the arena. I hope to see great things from you and your
stable here. -- Lord Xiang

Rillion -- I agree that 44 teams is a great start! I believe that players are more
willing to play "mediocre" or "Consortium-style" designs in an arena that won't have
any tourney godlings to compete against. Then again, the reasons could be all
financial, as well. To get a tourney-quality team, the DA would be overworked, and
team records would be ruined. Glory and domination are the watch-words for this
arena, just as the game itself started out so many years ago. -- Lord Xiang

Smitty -- Skunkfacers? See here, what in tarnation kinda language would dat be?
If'n youz can't speek rights, jes don't speek atall! -- Lord Xiang

Master Beru -- I don't think that Goose was Golden. :D -- Lord Xiang, mgr. AARP

La Pentarque -- And good luck to you, too, Monsieur! -- Lord Xiang, mgr. AARP
P.S. I'm not sure on the spelling, as my French lessons were over 25 years ago! :D

Pauly -- Just what we DON'T need, TOGS-style spots. Grrrrr. And I was certain I was
over TOGS. Now, I have an itch to get a jump on the next one...writing several spots
starring YOU! :D Perhaps not, but it was a good idea! -- Lord Xiang

Pauly -- re: your post about Ed. and typing. We COULD start writing TOGS-style
spots and ads, that way she could have more typing due to editing! After all, we
have Nuln here, what more do we need to start in with competitions on who has the
largest nutsack, or who has the longest legwarmers? True, we could use Soultaker
here, so let's work on that, too! -- Lord Xiang

Neither of those items of apparel is certified for export from the island of
     Aradi. -- Ed.

Slade -- Indeed Welcome and Greetings! I wish you well in your quest for glory. --
Lord Xiang, mgr. AARP

Borne -- Gah! Your prayers were answered? What about MINE? Not only that, how dare
you smack around an old geezer like me? Not only am I past retirement (never mind my
PRIME), but I can't see you because of these silly glass bottle bottoms Smitty put in
front of my eyes! Some days I think that man has it in for my boss. -- 4" Thick
Glasses

All -- The top eight teams have nine kills between them after 2 turns! Sweeeeet!!!
-- Lord Xiang

Smitty -- I see how it is. Naming your entire team after fond memories from your
youth so that everyone else will feel guilty if they kill one of your warriors.
That's a sneaky trick, that is. I'm on to you, though. Just you remember that. ;-P
-- Drake

Ed. -- Only the excess water? Just how much water is considered the norm for your
clothing? BTW, do you wash the water before you put it in the clothing or after? --
Drake

It depends on the weather. Cold clothing doesn't hold as much water as warm
clothing. As far as the water, the choice is up to each individual. *I* prefer
     clean water. -- Ed.

Angus -- I didn't know you played the piano. -- Chayn Saugh

Slogg -- Zeeing you carry all of zat weight haz made ME tired. -- Jaques Hammyr

Divine Bovine -- No fair! Who let the sacred cow into the arena? -- Gygg Saugh

DJohey DJr -- DYour dname dis dtough dto dpronounce. -- DNael DGhun

Jord -- You're cute and all, but I prefer men with a little more stamina. -- Ann Vyl

Borec -- But what's the other half? -- Chayn Saugh

Rillion-- A 'problem' is it? Well, we certainly hope to avoid any problems as
well...but then again, we've learned that those who most claim to not be a problem
seem to make the most. *grins* -- Kendric&Dio

All -- 45 teams on Turn 2, hopefully we'll break the 50 mark this turn...now that the
Commission has so kindly granted us our license. -- Kendric

Drake -- You HAD to go there, didn't you? -- Kendric Stormblade, just shaking his
head sadly at the poor, benighted soul who HAD to make a bad joke

Drake -- You, Sirrah, are NOT innocent. Only you were gauche enough to make that
inference in public and then try to act as though butter wouldn't melt in your mouth.
I'll be keeping an eye on you and my weapons close by.... Almost makes me wish I
weren't immortal these days so I could challenge you. -- Dio Ridenow, Lady Protector,
putting the first name on her list

Indimar -- We grieve your loss. -- Master Beru and the Heroes

Eternal Abyss -- Well, is it really eternal?? I mean, maybe it is just a REALLY LONG
TIME. -- Papa Smurf

Literate Loons -- Hmmm.... Rules say I can't fly away in my invisible jet, so.... I
guess I will have to use my Lasso on you!! -- Wonder Woman <Looking very perky!!>

Baron Stonewall -- Well, the name fits!! Geesh!! -- MB for Snake-eyes

Calypso Tan -- I don't know how to Calypso, but I guess my moves were smooth enough,
eh?? -- SGT. York

Yukon Jack -- I'm glad the crowd was pleased, 'cause I weren't. -- Big Brother

Tired of the lack of refreshment within the stands at Shadow Spire arena? Looking
for a place to have a bird's eye view of the action? Need a gathering place for you
and your alliance mates to strategize the next turn's challenges in privacy? Look no
further than Gringolet Lounge, located right on the arena across from the warrior's
entrance to the sands. Watch the Arenamaster start the fights! See the tactics
employed by warriors without obstruction! Quench your thirst on the finest ales and
meads within the city, brewed right upon the premises! Grab a working lady for your
finest wenching! The Gringolet Lounge is open all the time so when you need anything
it is there. C'mon down and see the place today!

All -- I look forward to seeing you relaxing at the establishment soon. Mention this
ad and get a free drink and tour of the second and third floor observation areas and
conference rooms. -- Joseph G. Wellington, proprietor of the Gringolet Lounge

Lord Xiang -- Goodness, quite a start you have going there. Hope to see you stay
around and keep the winning ways. -- JGW

Seraphim -- I know you can do better than that. Maybe your warriors need to train
with the Femmes? -- JGW

Smitty -- Good to see the local Consortium representative around ShadowSpire. Your

peers are some of the most respected managers within the land. I hope you show as
well as Kennelworth does in Aruak City. Please let him know I will be returning in
the future as soon as I have the chance. -- JGW

Apex -- Sword high, Delarquan brother. By the way, my apologies for saying you were
in "teal" and not "powder blue." -- JGW

Rillion -- Make sure to stop by the Lounge and I'll get one of the girls to repay you
for all the assistance given in the last tournament. -- JGW

TGG and DeGotti -- Make sure to do the same as Rillion. Again, many thanks for the
assistance and the camaraderie. -- JGW

Blackstorm -- All because I like you doesn't mean I won't try to beat you down in
North Fork. I'm sure you will return the favor. -- JGW

...wow, I'm sitting here and enjoying the moment to give a word to all of you.
Definitely feels like old times. Deke and Lord Xiang, great job on getting the
movement going, and then taking it to the house. We are all grateful. -- JGW

Red Tail -- Well after all those crits to my butt I think I had the red tail. Man
that chafed. -- Manx

Tcharlz -- Well that was an interesting beginning to our fight. Looks like my
superior intellect won out at the end. -- Vygotsky

CHS -- I think your fighting style is a perfect example of cognitive development. I
think you have studied well. -- Skinner

Hammer -- Thanks for the kind words and I wish you bad luck in your bloodfeud versus
me. :) -- TGG

Rillion -- Great to have you here with the brightest Luroc has to offer. Looks like
so far we're tied. I'm sure I'll pull ahead soon. :) -- TGG

Wow, 47 teams. I think 50 is possible this turn. -- TGG

Pauly -- You can take arena wins for my TC wins anytime you like. -- TGG

WOW! Nothing like an 0-5 with a death to take the pressure off. Only one way to go
from here. -- Indimar

Warriors of As Seen On TV II -- If fighting in the sunlight is too much for you I
could arrange later fights. -- Indimar Fallon

Nuln -- How reasty of you to miss last turn. -- Indy

Skuld -- I don't know if the pronunciation is the same, but you sure "schooled" me.
-- H. Hook

Sgt. York -- I guess you're over that whole conscientious objector thing. -- Calypso
Tan

Alema D'Rav -- That did not go quite the way I had envisioned. -- Never Scrub

Crimson -- Hairagami knew that death is always a possibility when one steps on the
sands. We may or may not exercise our challenge rights on you in the coming turns.
-- Warriors of As Seen On TV II

Pauly -- I would never waste my time following you. I would, however, put forth
considerable effort to stay upwind of you. -- Indimar

I knew that '69 Charger was going to come back. I used to own the '68 Charger and it
was smoking hot! -- Apocalypse

Dracularr -- What the heck do ye call that eh? Maybe you were not worthy of "The
Dark Gift!" Maybe ye don't have the stomach for this kind of work, kind of like yer
old team Assassin Nation, who lack the guts to even Bloodfeud revenge for yer sorry
corpse!!! Ye better show me something this turn son or it's the Dark Arena for ye!
-- Bloodbeard

Yes, Master. -- Dracularr

What an impressive display by Fulton! But we are asking ourselves, where is Rama the
Shark? -- Vampirates

Bloodrunner -- A twist of fate may have saved ye this time, but ye will notice that
while ye may have been granted the win, I am still undefeated. Let us see if fate is
as kind to ye if/when we meet again, if ye dinna avoid me.... -- Lost Boy

Frosty -- What comes after Spring? -- The Countess

24 January 2007
The Council of Lords would like to propose a rule change in ADM and Primus. We
propose that Lord Protectors ranked "Grand Champions" and below (ADM) and "The Tower
Guard" and below (Primus) be allowed to fight in the Dark Arena. This would not
impact the top rankings or title match. Any managers who never got his fill or shot
at fighting Gateway monsters would have it as an option. We believe it might spark
some interest in the ADM/Primus realm for some managers. If interested, speak up in
the newsletters or on forums under the "rules changes" thread and let RSI know. This
could even be something to try for 12 months and then be re-evaluated. What say you,
managers of Ghea? -- The Icelord sends....

     HDFA Mission Statement
     "Show me the money!"
This is the battle cry of a newly formed collection of like-minded individuals:
The High Dolla' Free Agent$. We are not a tough guy alliance: No...we offer no
battle without reward. We search for victory and the prizes and accolades that
follow. We are motivated by winning and will freely use whatever means necessary to
obtain our currency. No stuffy rules, no mandates, no constitutions, no leaders,
only a few objectives:
     1) Win as often as possible
     2) Celebrate freely and revel in your victories; the more meaningless the
victory the more we celebrate. Highsiding and chest thumping are encouraged.
Ostentatious endzone celebrations with prop usage are encouraged, regardless of
fines, penalties, suspensions or arrest by local authorities. It is important to let
your opponent know how great you are; more importantly, you must let your own
alliance mates know how great you are.
This is a 1-up alliance, let the performance of your fellow Free Agent$ motivate
you. If a Free Agent wins a TV, win 2; if a Free agent wins a contest, win a more
prestigious one.

RSI is now taking rollups for a slow version of the No-Tournament arena. Send your
rollup to RSI listing the arena as "Slow No Tournament". Sign and send in the
following pledge:

* I pledge that I will not send warriors from this team to a Tournament, nor will I
