Notes from the arena champ.
Well, I managed to beat Liberius and hang onto the top spot, plus recieved my
invite to the Isle. As for the Isle, I am planning on retiring from the arena.
Aside from that I have not decided what my future holds.
Since I am retiring, here are my detailed info for those who care. My stats are
11-4-13-17(+1)-18(+2)-12-12. My favorite weapon is Longsword, rhythm is High/High
and I favor Initiative skills. I have an Advanced Expert in Initiative and Defense
and an Expert in Attack. In 24 fights I raised 3 stats in 4 tries and learned 49
skills.

Dunnik Duelmaster and Lord Protector
SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of SHADOWSPIRE! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. I have begun to suspect trickery on
the part of OF WOLF AND MAN. How else weeks like this one's 4-1-0? How else the
sudden move to 2nd team? There were bitter words at SUMMERBORN's guildhouse after a
2-3-0 showing this week which dropped the stable into 13th. Dark Arena anyone? Did
only my eyes note the 4-1-0 record which LA PENTARCHIE managed to post this round? I
don't doubt that such a record will draw challengers! ANSELM caught the eye of many
in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested BOWTIE BOB and was awarded 21
points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, DAPHNE ROSEN put
down HUGH CAPET, causing him to lose 20 points of recognition in the process. This
time out SPIREWOLF made his bid for the throne as he challenged DUNNIK in an all out
contest of skill for possession of the title! Although SPIREWOLF made a valiant
effort, it did not suffice to topple the reign of victorious DUNNIK. Heed this! A
seer has warned that if exactly 6 die in duels this week, the whole city shall
perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. My inside sources tell me that the
team to beat in SHADOWSPIRE these days is THE MONGOLOIDS II. At least, most blades
in town are looking to avoid them. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have
been hard pressed to find any of LA PENTARCHIE last week. Busy avoiding THE
MONGOLOIDS II? Loose talk at the arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the
knowledge that many fighters are after TACOIA. Watch your back! For some warriors
honor is not important--only empty victory. See, gladiators, how HUMMINGBIRD of
SUMMERBORN challenged down 20 points to SUPERIORBANE. All the city knows the duel
went in favor of HUMMINGBIRD. I shall not fail to spread the word in other cities of
this "mighty" victory. A match that raised a few eyebrows at the games this week, it
seems that LOW AND AWAY posted a challenge against the more highly recognized SERAFIN
GAWAIN. The results, you ask? Well, the firebrand LOW AND AWAY overcame SERAFIN
GAWAIN. Remember warriors, this is the discipline of steel. I can not but mention
with disdain the name of GREGORR who this week posted a challenge to a warrior a full
10 points below in the rankings. I thought GREGORR showed great skill and promise
when he subdued LIAM O'FLAHERTY. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Walk proud, warriors of OTTO'S DINER! By striking down AUGUST you
have avenged the honor of your dead. Your virtue is known to all in SHADOWSPIRE.
Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune but sets enemies
against the victorious. Remember this!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times
already in SHADOWSPIRE. Nice atmosphere you have here! More than a sharp eye must I
keep, indeed a stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari
