SPY REPORT
You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to SHADOWSPIRE once again! Biff! Pow! SHADOWSPIRE watched with
glee as JUNGLELAND got knocked off top spot by LA PENTARCHIE! Phhbltt! Too much
drinking and too little dodging gave CAPITAL CARTEL a 1-4-0! I got a good laugh out
of it! Ya gotta be quick on yer feet! Keep your elbow off the table! Thrust!
Block out the pain! SUMMERBORN is now ranked 13th with a 4-1-1 turn. DARQUE AGES
showed SHADOWSPIRE what they were made of as they fought with a vengeance to walk off
with 4-1-0. What's with '08 CHALLENGER? He actually beat LA PENTARCHIE's CLASSIC
NAPALM, and walked away with 34 more points from the fight. Major screwup at
LITERATE LOONS. A.E. HOUSMAN lost 17 points to HEINRIK. Some new strategies,
perhaps? Maybe A.E. HOUSMAN will provide more easy wins... Apparently SHADOWSPIRE
isn't filled with as many gutless wonders as I thought. The Dreaded Duelmaster got
12 challenges this turn! Another fighter (PIT FIEND 13-9-1) challenged another
Duelmaster (OUTLAW PETE 28-12-0). Life goes on. Try as he might, PIT FIEND wasn't
good enough at persuading OUTLAW PETE to step down from the Duelmaster's throne... I
suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow fighters?
Tough!
If at first you don't succeed, avoid. That'll get you in the Spyreports. How
well I know the feeling of being in the most avoided team! Don't fall out of
practive, OF WOLF AND MAN! The bums at AMERICAN MUSCLE couldn't face the challenges
from OF WOLF AND MAN! No excuse for that! Keep challenging up 30 points, ZEVRAN,
and I won't have to write about you much longer. SINISTER SNOOPY always accepts
those kind of challenges... Sometimes what you expect to do (like in the fights)
doesn't expect to turn out like you thought. ZEVRAN overcame SINISTER SNOOPY. It
don't make sense. Fighting is a better craft than farming, NO DICE SON, but you have
to pay your dues. Being challenged by SCUMPUNCHER, 19 points above you, is dues.
SCUMPUNCHER's gonna be practicin' hard this week, after NO DICE SON, lower ranked by
far, mashed him! CICERO didn't quite know what to make of a challenge he received
from ANGEROO of FURRY FURY, who is 19 points below him. ANGEROO perhaps got his just
desserts, seeing as he subdued CICERO and ended up with 62 recognition points. I
hate going to the effort of writing about the kind of fights that MACEO gets in. She
fights people like NYDERAWYN, 15 points below. I thought MACEO showed great skill
and promise when she bested NYDERAWYN. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
Warriors of SHADOWSPIRE unite. You have only your games to lose! Hmm... More
surprises must remain in store for me, if FIVE can return from the Dark Arena. NO
DICE SON of SUMMERBORN got 24 points for removing another young punk. Tough luck,
BATTLE GRUNTS! CLASSIC NAPALM, with his forgettable 17-15-1, was put to death by
'08 CHALLENGER in a forgettable match. LA PENTARCHIE didn't seem to mind very much.
'08 CHALLENGER of AMERICAN MUSCLE has spared CLASSIC NAPALM from the boredom of a
warrior's retirement... But I doubt LA PENTARCHIE is grateful. GROWLER was plum
wore out after VIRGINIA WOOLF pounded 'im silly in a Bloodfeud. BATTLE GRUNTS'll
have to get a little better before going after VIRGINIA WOOLF again! How long have I
been here? I got people to see, places to go...
Who knows what the future holds for a warrior. More fights, there's no doubt.
Are you as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm
writing it before you read it. Oh, well. Remember--a good fighter needs both good

A couple of notes:
First, as you will have seen, no spy report from me this time. As Jorja
mentions below somewhere, the hands have been preempted by Olaf for the tourney
spy report. I'll try to get one written next time, Crysalis or no.
And second, there was something in the files that claimed to be a Yellow Press
report with information as of turn 37. My guess was that it showed up by
accident, and I left it out. I didn't throw it away and will re-insert it next

Shadowspire rat race? Could twelve rounds of golf in eight days grounded the old
man; or better yet, left him out of bounds or in a hazard? Or ????????????? -- The
