Notes from the arena champ.
Greetings Shadowspire!
I am thrilled to address you again as your reigning Duelmaster. A man can get
get spoiled with all the attention he receives while sitting on the throne. While I
must admit that a majority of my time at the top has been spent in luxury, I have
attempted to stay in shape and not get too soft. I am eager to attempt to maintain
my hold on the title and earn my immortality with one more win. Lady Luck smiled
upon me last turn and hopefully shows her favor to me yet again. Only time will
tell, but I remain confident that victory shall be mine, especially if one of my two
challenges go through. Since we can never be sure what fate has in store for us, I
will not waste any of the precious time left to me on top engaged in idle chatter. I
wish all my brethren good luck next turn with the exception of my most unfortunate
opponent.

SPY REPORT
I was going on vacation, see? Surf, sun... But what do those bums say? "Hit
the road, Debby Tonte. SHADOWSPIRE needs a spyreport." Oh, well. I don't wanna
hurt anybody's feelings or anything, but LA PENTARCHIE really goofed with their
2-3-1. SUMMERBORN like really fought hard to move up to 2nd from 10th. Way to go!
Cut this out and put it in your scrapbooks, OTTO'S DINER! 'Cause they got 4-1-0 and
moved up to 5th! MVP award for WELLAWELLAWELLUH? SUMMERBORN's proud of him after
beating CLERLEON and getting 24 points. Talk about yer big time losers! CLERLEON
got smashed by WELLAWELLAWELLUH, and lost 20 points! Oh, wow, like the Duelmaster
must be the most popular guy in all SHADOWSPIRE. He got the most challenges. (But
what about proposals?) The Duelmaster isn't going to stop just cause he's Number One!
GIGI DIVINE knows this. She was challenged by the Duelmaster. This Duelmaster is
like something else! MAXENTIUS stopped GIGI DIVINE dead in hers tracks! I hear the
top team insists all their warriors get nine hours sleep. They want photogenic
fighters for PR photos.
Look, you guys stick to fighting, all right? MONSTER MANUAL was SHADOWSPIRE's
most avoided team. Is there some award for that? I don't know what WARMASTERS' been
doing. They certainly haven't been accepting many fights from MONSTER MANUAL, that's
fer sher. People were asking me did ODDJOB REALLY challenge JULIETTE? (all right,
maybe they didn't, but it sounded good!) It wasn't a spectacular fight, or anything,
but JULIETTE wants me to write about it since she won victory over ODDJOB.
Satisfied?
What does a fighter fight for? I mean, the crowds don't give a hoot if someone
gets killed. Not after four more fights. What if they had a fight and nobody showed
up? I'd be out of a job, that's what!!!
I really didn't, you know, study when I was a kid. Who would've guessed I'd be
