Notes from the arena champ.
Hail Shadowspire!
It is a great thrill to be able to address you all for a third consecutive turn
from this magnificent throne. I know my manger Vanek always had high hopes for me
from the beginning, but often fretted over whether or not I'd live to see graduation.
Alas, I have not only survived, but thrived. While receiving my graduation notice is
a great honor, I'd actually prefer to stay and defend my throne for another 10 turns!
Unfortunately, that is not meant to be and I am certain many of you are anxious for
my ugly mugg to depart so a new fresh face may claim the great honor of Duelmaster.
I promise to give my best effort and not make claiming the throne too easy for my
next opponent. Now that I am on my way out, I can disclose that I have challenged
Subprime Rib and Gigi Devine again. With my Master Attack rating and massive damage
dealing ability, I absolutely loved demolishing defensive types and will try to do so
one final time before my departure. It would be nice to go out with a win, but who
can say what Lady Luck has in store for any of us? I will continue to watch the
going ons of Shadowspire upon my departure and hold high hopes that it will soon
return to its days of former glory!

SPY REPORT
Welcome SHADOWSPIRE. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights
have I fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... Biff! Pow!
SHADOWSPIRE watched with glee as WARMASTERS got knocked off top spot by OTTO'S DINER!
Ya gotta be quick on yer feet! Keep your elbow off the table! Thrust! Block out
the pain! OTTO'S DINER is now ranked 1st with a 4-1-0 turn. It seems so recently
people were saying MONSTER MANUAL was washed up, finished. But 4-1-0 moved them up
3. I guess they're washed no more... What's with CHARLES MARTEL? He actually beat
LITERATE LOONS' TOM WOLFE, and walked away with 38 more points from the fight. Major
screwup at CULT OF BACCHUS. MEDA lost 18 points to LITTLE DARLING. Some new
strategies, perhaps? Maybe MEDA will provide more easy wins... MOLLUSQUOME was
reminded on the sands why MAXENTIUS is Duelmaster. I suppose you want to hear some
rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow fighters? Tough!
No matter the time or place, men will always duel. SHADOWSPIRE thinks CULT OF
BACCHUS and their 173-146-7 is too much! If at first you don't succeed, give up...
In my day, no team with a 171-143-7 would scare me off! What's the problem, DARQUE
AGES? How well I know the feeling of being the most challenged warrior, ROSA KLEBB!
Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to haunt you. Taunt your opponent ROSA
KLEBB! That was my lucky charm when I was unfairly challenged. (and by 34 points!)
JULIETTE should have an easy win. I have to get this off my chest. What a low dog,
JULIETTE! She can't set herself up in a real match. I was sorry to see ROSA KLEBB
lose. Maybe BOND-AGE's NICK NACK is one of those guys who likes pain, or something.
That's what he'll get next week, after challenging up 35 to SUBPRIME RIB. I don't
get it. NICK NACK goes and challenges SUBPRIME RIB, way above him, but gets 4 points
after he loses! Is this a new strategy? SUMNER didn't quite know what to make of a
challenge it received from AGORIX of WARMASTERS, who is 25 points below it. AGORIX
perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he was bested by SUMNER and ended up with 23
recognition points.
Warriors of SHADOWSPIRE unite. You have only your games to lose! TOM WOLFE,
with his forgettable 22-19-3, was dealt death by CHARLES MARTEL in a forgettable
match. LITERATE LOONS didn't seem to mind very much. Is it my imagination, or are
fighters getting younger every day? To die so young, so gloriously!
Well, I'm pretty much through. You guys need to get back practicing. All work
and no play makes Olaf a dull fighter. Work and play no fighter dull Olaf.
