Notes from the arena champ.
Hey there, guess who? Oh who am I kidding--you already know who. It's the Stew!
My guest last week was the new musical sensation known as Reddig. What? I fought
the same guy--I can't use the same column? Oh very well. As I was saying, my guest
last week was Reddig once again. He phoned me up urgently and said he'd just come up
with a new number he was just dying to show me. I thought his first performance was
a little flat but like my other job as a judge on Alastarian Idol, I'm inclined to
give an upstart a second chance if they show promise. So, Reddit comes on and goes
right into the same act he did last time, only with a lot more thrashing about. Let
me tell you this guy was all over the place. It went on seemingly forever and had no
payoff. I had to nudge him in the leg more than once to let him know it was time to
get of the stage. Pity, maybe he can get a job as a singing sushi chef. Anyway,
next week I promise to have someone new and exciting as my guest. Can't wait til
then!

SPY REPORT
Good day, in SHADOWSPIRE a quiet thief gets rich, but a quiet spymaster gets
poor. So bring me ale and harken to my tidbits of news. It seems the training can
make the difference, as SAVAGE HORDE is pushed out of top team by OTTO'S DINER, who
came from 4th with a 4-1-0 this turn. Now keep the taverns open late tonight, for
there are sorrows to drown for SAVAGE HORDE, whose 1-4-0 this turn dropped them by 6
into 7th. The THE MOTHERSHIP 011 guild has had a 4-1-0 turn and deserves to be
watched in the future. You never know where this kind of thing can lead. And let's
see, JULIAN OF NORWICH fought DROW and gained 25 points and contributed to DARQUE
AGES' 2-3-0. DROW has lost to JULIAN OF NORWICH, falling 26 points, while helping
make MONSTER MANUAL a 1-4-0 turn. HARE BINGER challenged for the Duelmastership this
turn, attempting to dethrone OTTO'S DINER's warrior. The attempts to dethrone the
Duelmaster have failed, and GREMLIN STEW remains SHADOWSPIRE's top warrior for
another turn. Tell me, is nothing sacred? I have heard from unimpeachable sources
that The Warty Toad uses trolls in their stew. Talk about gristle!
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. I also notice that the WARMASTERS stable was
the most avoided team this turn. Come on SHADOWSPIRE, what are you afraid of? And
guess who avoided WARMASTERS stable the most? Believe it or not, it was SAVAGE
HORDE. Anyone surprised? The most challenged warrior this turn was CULT OF BACCHUS'
warrior ADISSA. More fighters challenged her than challenged the Duelmaster! In a
brave attempt, BLUE NOVA from SEARCH THE SKY challenged up 18 points to fight GAMBLE
from the THE MOTHERSHIP 011 stable. BLUE NOVA perhaps got hers just desserts, seeing
as she was bested by GAMBLE and ended up with 38 recognition points. RAMIRUS of
WARMASTERS had better have a good reason for challenging down 13 points in a
challenge which he won. I thought RAMIRUS showed great skill and promise when he
bested ADISSA. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
We only live a short time in this world, so why not take a sharp blade, and
shave it close? Kudos go out to CAZADOR this turn, for revenging DRAGONBANE GUILD's
bloodfeud against FURRY FURY's warrior CAT N TONIC. Well done. Congratulations go
out to WARMASTERS, with PISTORIUS revenging a bloodfeud against TARR of BRIDGE
BURNERS. We'd like to remind certain teams not to rob the graves of their enemies.
