Notes from the arena champ.
People of Shadowspire, it is with a sad heart that I must announce that I'll be
leaving you all as I travel to the Isle. These past several turns have been amazing
for our guild. First Brain Eater wrests the throne for the villain Ramirus, then in
a odd twist of fate the throne was awarded to me as he enjoys his well earned
retirement.
Under ordinary circumstances, I would extend my final challenge to Furio, or
perhaps Bear Naked, but these circumstances are not exactly normal. I have been the
warrior to have taken the most heads in this arena. My legacy here is assured, but
what better send off could there be for the most prolific killer in Shadowspire's
history than to do it once more in the dark Arena. A final fight to the death! I
think the record will stand at 6 for all time!

SPY REPORT
Hail and well met warriors of SHADOWSPIRE! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. Former top team SOME KINDA HATE was
unseated this week as ANTHROPOS KRATOS moved up from 7th ranking to take the top spot
with a 5-0-1 record for the round. Warriors--remember that glory waits always around
the corner! Witness how this week ANTHROPOS KRATOS went 5-0-1 to move up 6 in the
rankings. Did only my eyes note the 4-1-0 record which CULT OF BACCHUS managed to
post this round? I don't doubt that such a record will draw challengers! AXEL VON
SPIRE caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested
BARBAROSSA and was awarded 26 points in recognition. In one of the week's more
notable duels, AXEL VON SPIRE put down BARBAROSSA, causing him to lose 23 points of
recognition in the process. Most watched of the fights this week, the spotlight was
on STONE GOLEM as he bore arms against the Dark Arena Challenge of reigning
Duelmaster GORSHOK. The crowds were amazed this turn, as STONE GOLEM killed the
Duelmaster, GORSHOK, leaving SOME KINDA HATE in mourning. With bloody hand FURIO 5
has ascended to the throne of champions. Is he that one which is spoken of in the
ancient texts? Informants "close" to the city champion have told me that he never
fights without pantyhose on beneath his armor. Watch out!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. I saw one fighter that warriors
avoided when this week's challenge seeking began. WAR MACHINE is feared. This much
I can say. If you didn't look down dark alleys you'd have been hard pressed to find
any of DRAGONBANE GUILD last week. Busy avoiding WAR MACHINE? Loose talk at the
arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are
after BAD ROLL-UPS. Watch your back! I cannot but express pride for the
fearlessness of BRINDLE BADGER who cast caution to the winds and challenged FURIO 5,
a fighter 46 points higher. Truth to tell, BRINDLE BADGER did not come out of the
fight a winner, but he managed to capture much attention, gaining 3 in recognition.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. My condolences to LA PENTARCHIE for
their loss of a very promising warrior, MANDOLINE. MANDOLINE went to doom before the
arms of OBAMACARE, a warrior of ABOMINATION. Some say a warrior is judged by the way
he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? Ahh, but I can hear the spires of a far off
city calling to me. I must away! Till next we meet remember: a fool flies into a
