DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Shadowspire, it is an honor to return as your Duelmaster for yet another turn! Not
that it was much of a feat considering I just had to whip the young upstart Gargantia
to do it. Vanek informs me that should I be able to defend the throne one more time,
I will earn my graduation notice. Most of you would likely assume that I'd take the
easy way out and simply beat on Gargantia again to accomplish that task. Instead, I
have elected to challenge Nyderawyn and Mr Brain Smasher instead and let Hadrian
continue with Gargantia's lessons in respect. I like my chances and prefer to go out
fighting somebody worthy of the challenge. With any luck, I will have the privilege
to address you one final time again next turn. Until then, best of luck to each of
you!

SPY REPORT
So why do I have this bag over my head? Because I am The Unknown Spymaster and
I'm going to give you a spy report!. We now have a new top team for all of you guys
to dogpile on. DRAGONBANE GUILD now holds the crown and they are betting they can
keep it. It was a tough week for SOME KINDA HATE, to drop 7 places in the rankings.
Coming up with a solid 5-0-0 outing, DRAGONBANE GUILD has advanced 6 places in the
rankings. Advancing in the rankings was MONSTER MANUAL who went from last turn's
354-435-14, to this week's record of 358-436-14. Hey everybody, watch out for DJEREE
THE DJERK, who flew up 24 points in the rankings after mashing SKILORD like a melon.
Keep your eye on this beast. Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on the
sands. BROOSS was bested by ALLEZLES KEUS and drops 14 points. Unlike most arenas,
THELONIUS managed to get his challenge off against the 21-22-0 NYDERAWYN. In front
of all the crowds, NYDERAWYN took the Duelmaster's crown for his own. I give the bum
two weeks. Advice to bashers--never force anything, just get a bigger halberd!
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the SHADOWSPIRE arena. Did
you hear that SOME KINDA HATE was most avoided team this week? Well, knowing the
personal hygiene of SOME KINDA HATE's warriors, I'm not surprised! And you guys like
to boo me? Well, unsling your rasberries, cause WARMASTERS beats feet every time
SOME KINDA HATE smiles at them. Try farming, eh? Well dang howdy, but if challenges
were votes, MONOCEROS would be president. Although it may be a contest he doesn't
want to win. AGRIPPA of WARMASTERS had better have a good reason for challenging
down 13 points in a challenge which he won. I thought AGRIPPA showed great skill and
promise when he overcame BRINDLE BADGER. All right, so I slept through it! Big
deal!
Being a spy is great--other people die and you spend the rest of the day
drinking to their memory. Better tanked than dead! This round goes to WARMASTERS,
their 17-10-1 warrior, CALIGULA slew the 9-5-2 GARGANTIA. Stay tuned next week to
see what happens. Well, the arena is no place for slow learners (and hopefully
T.P.s) and DJEREE THE DJERK demonstrated that very violently on SKILORD's body. It's
not often when you see a 8-4-0 warrior like WHISPER kick the bucket. I wonder if
CULT OF BACCHUS will recover from the blow. Yesterday I talked to the DRAGONBANE
GUILD's manager and LISHCHKA, slayer of GROK DA CAVEMAN. The manager: 'I think I
can, I think I can'. LISHCHKA: 'I already did'. In the 'Oops, What Have I Done?'
category, SMUSHI was mashed by RINGO DEATHSTAR, who let SMUSHI know that killing
members of CULT OF BACCHUS is a no-no. Congrats to WICKED ALL REDD for revenging the
death of his teammate (but more importantly, feeding BLACK BISON a bit of dirt).
Knowing when to use the right tactics at the proper time is a very important step on
the road to Duelmaster.
Well, there's the manager of the SHADOWSPIRE giving me the 'cut' sign (or is
that 'They're going to strangle you in the alley?). C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make some
