Notes from the arena champ.
Well nothing profound this week. Really surprised that I am still even here. Excellent
attempt by Caligula, thought you have me there a couple of times. I am not the
smartest man but I should be learning more skills than I am. Who in the Challenger
Champs wants to teach me some skills? I believe I sent out challenges to Impala and
Dragon. Avoids went to Warmasters, not that I do not want to fight you, I just want to
fight you on my terms. Being the DM, I should have in a say in it. The other may have
gone out to La Pentarchie. Same reason, do not mind fighting you, just the way I am
running these days does not bode well in a scum fest. Hope to see you next turn.

SPY REPORT
Thankyouthankyou. It's great for me, The Unknown Spymaster to be back in
SHADOWSPIRE. Hope you enjoy the show. Oh, who am I kidding? I already got paid!
We now have a new top team for all of you guys to dogpile on. NBA LEGENDS now holds
the crown and they are betting they can keep it. Take a look at ERRATA's act, as
they have a 5-0-1 week and gain 15 places in the team ranking. What goes up, must
come down. Watch out SHADOWSPIRE! DRAGONBANE GUILD may fall on you as it crushes
past the teams below it to fall on the 13th spot. A seasoned team is steady in the
lists. But to ROGUES DEN, which fell to 20th, it's what you soak in before going to
the Dark Arena. Advancing in the rankings was SOME KINDA HATE who went from last
turn's 155-133-16, to this week's record of 159-134-16. Hey everybody, watch out for
PEEKING DUCK, who flew up 25 points in the rankings after mashing WYRMCLAW like a
melon. Keep your eye on this guy. Ya know, some days it doesn't pay to walk out on
the sands. HAKUNA FRITTATA was bested by ALLEZLES KEUS and drops 16 points. Drawing
on all of his experience as a 14-19-0 warrior, SOME KINDA PATE went for the
Duelmastership against DJEREE THE DJERK this week. In front of all the crowds, SOME
KINDA PATE took the Duelmaster's crown for his own. I give the bum two weeks. 4 out
of 5 gladiators surveyed protect the body, so try and avoid aiming at that location.
Let's dig a little deeper into what's happening in the SHADOWSPIRE arena. Did
you hear that BIG LAKE OUTCASTS was most avoided team this week? Well, knowing the
personal hygiene of BIG LAKE OUTCASTS' warriors, I'm not surprised! Okay, so I may
not be funny, but catch CULT OF BACCHUS' act in the arena. Those acrobats seem to be
fairly deft at running from BIG LAKE OUTCASTS. And who is this DAVE LEBEIS you ask,
with 91 points and a 22-9-0 record. Ooh, the tales I could tell! Challenging down
27 points was KIMBHULEE. Pretty soon she'll be using two shields and selling 'T.P.:
The only way to clean up' pins. Definition of petty: KIMBHULEE beat POUDREUX, a
mismatch of 27 points. Was it guts or an overtaxed mental capacity that had
MONOCEROS challenge up 42 points in the rankings to take on DRAGONSCYTHE? I heard
MONOCEROS laughed all the way to the inn as his new point total of 103 was posted in
the arena. I guess beating DRAGONSCYTHE really pays! In a touching display by a
'touched' warrior, DIRTY WHITE MOTHER went after AGRIPPA, who was higher by 18
points. Well, when the dust settled, DIRTY WHITE MOTHER bested AGRIPPA. DICKY
TOURVILLE of BIG LAKE OUTCASTS had better have a good reason for challenging down 10
points in a challenge which he lost. I thought DICKY TOURVILLE showed great skill
and promise when he was overcame by ZIPPO. All right, so I slept through it! Big
deal!
Death is kind of like a new puppy: he's always around wanting to play. (Ha
Zontani, how's that for a wise saying?). IMPALA defied all odds and slew WURM KIN in
the Dark Arena. The only ones displeased were the buzzards, as WURM KIN's meat is
notoriously tough. This round goes to OTTO'S DINER, their 9-4-1 warrior, PEEKING
DUCK slew the 6-4-0 WYRMCLAW. Stay tuned next week to see what happens. Yes, and
another newbie bites the dust as JEFE goes down under the sword of WHITE LIGHTNING.
Thanks to this, WHITE LIGHTNING now has 20 recognition points. In the 'Oops, What
Have I Done?' category, NIGHTLEAF was mashed by DAYBRANCH, who let NIGHTLEAF know
that killing members of ERRATA is a no-no. Congrats to GARBAGE TRUCK for revenging
the death of its teammate (but more importantly, feeding GIBSON a bit of dirt). In
the 'Oops, What Have I Done?' category, HOLLOWSOUL was mashed by ROPE BURN, who let
HOLLOWSOUL know that killing members of ROGUES DEN is a no-no. Congrats to ABDUHL
AHLEZAD for revenging the death of his teammate (but more importantly, feeding BRAVE
BULL a bit of dirt). In the 'Oops, What Have I Done?' category, GARGOYLE was mashed
by JED SAWYER, who let GARGOYLE know that killing members of WAR MACHINE is a no-no.
Congrats to CERYOSHE for revenging the death of his teammate (but more importantly,
feeding BANEWANDER a bit of dirt). Remember: alliances are great, but try and take
your ally in the arena with you and see what happens.
Well, that wasn't too bad; Alarond told me that the people in SHADOWSPIRE have
no sense of humor. Or maybe that they were senseless. C'mon, Leadfoot, let's make
