Notes from the arena champ.
Good day one and all,
Gnometradamus, Duelmaster and Lord Protector at your service! Give me your ear for a
few mins as I reflect upon my time here in Shadowspire.
I am the final style in DeGotti's Round Robin for this fine arena. You can say that,
the PR style was "forced" upon me as I am not a stereotypical PR set up. I began my
dueling career as 11-13-8-11-21-7-13 and buffed myself up to 12-14-8-12-21-7-13 Adv.
Expert in Riposte, Experts in Initiative, Attack and Parry. The GC says that I like a
VL offensive effort and MO activity level. I'm a natural with the EP. I learn
Initiative skills quickly and I like to Riposte. I believe that running MO activity
levels my entire career has contributed to my w/l%!
Speaking of Round Robins, DeGotti finished the Shadowspire Round Robin in a total of
158 active turns and within 749 total fights! Before returning back on turn 135, I
believe he had graduated 3 of the 10 styles by turn 62. In less than 100 turns he
graduated the final 7 styles!
I know I promised to answer more of the questions that were left from one of the AA
members but my time is short and I still have to pack for my ride to the Isle!

SPY REPORT

Perhaps it is WARMASTERS members' intannibility that enabled them to move from 17th
to 6th last week... (Less time in the sun...) Rumor has it an incurable disease has
swept the stable of DRAGONBANE GUILD. Note their drop in the rankings from 9th to
20th. Watch out!!! INEBRIATION posted a nice gain, to come in 8th. Everybody loves
a winner... Practice pays for BARATUS, who pummelled BROOSS, to pocket 21 points. A
certain someone should cut down on the drinking and practice more, after losing 13
points to MORDECAI MOUSE. (Discrete enough, POUDREUX?) Duelmaster GNOMETRADAMUS from
CULT OF BACCHUS is going for the gold, as he challenged PRAY THE GODS' RUMMER. Ooh,
the excitement! RUMMER found out that SHADOWSPIRE isn't a democracy. You've gotta
be the best to be Duelmaster here! Word has it one team in SHADOWSPIRE is using
psychics to predict wins. They lead a charmed life!
So much to report, so little time! To quell some nasty rumors, the guys in BIG
LAKE OUTCASTS are not carrying any incurable diseases. No need to avoid 'em. Like a
pup with its tail between its legs, CULT OF BACCHUS scurried away from BIG LAKE
OUTCASTS. Oh, the shame! Everyone is famous for fifteen minutes, and STRAY CAT is
it right now. Most challenged warrior. Isn't ERRATA proud! Them's the breaks,
HUMDRUM. Expecting fair challenges from BIG LAKE OUTCASTS is evidently too much to
ask. Warriors of SHADOWSPIRE! Do you wish your reputations tainted by the base
challenge of LOSER DEGOTTI? As a confidence booster, BEER GUT challenged A SMOKING
WOMAN, down 20 points. Do you also slay vicious rodents in your spare time, BEER
GUT? BEER GUT beat A SMOKING WOMAN. The whole thing leaves a bitter memory. GIBSON
challenged NAGA! Who says WICKED MARTYRS are just a bunch of wimps! GIBSON of
WICKED MARTYRS kept his wits as he bested NAGA.
Is there life after death? Pragmatics (and warriors) know there is death after
life! Justice was served as SHAMINO fought DRY MOUTH MAX in bloodfeud. Well done,
THE COMMODORES! Never one to advocate diplomacy and restraint, I was pleased to see
SHANGHAIED retaliate against THE MONGOLOIDS II in bloodfeud! Oh hard! that to
strike a flame, the match itself must needs be wasting!

The following ads should have printed last turn, but for the miracles of the
Commission's submittal process, that does not always happen.
Spyreporter -- Reading your weekly reports is exactly like listening to the mainstream
media. You only report what fits your narrative. I get it, you don't like me or the
AA, I think everyone here has received the message. What's next? Are you going to
stump for climate change in Alastari as well? Is my beloved home of Niytyole Island
in danger of being submerged by the melting ice caps? How about this, I know your job
is not overly complicated and still you fail, but how about you stick to reporting the
facts each week. And, for giggles, why not focus on one of the other dozen managers
that also employ down-challenges just once? You know why I am the most avoided team
consistently? Because I win 83% of the challenges I make! And, not that you want to
point it out, but many of my challenges are up-challenges. I understand this does not
fit with your "I hate Den and everyone else should hate him as well" narrative, but
isn't it your job to point these things out? Seriously, I could do a better job with
half the information. Why not point out that I currently hold 3 of the top 10
stylemasters, which is pretty impressive. And, to the rest of you snapperheads that
have been crying about being down-challenged by the AA in the personals and your
precious little chat area, I will write this slowly in the hopes you can understand
it. We don't like you, period. You are the enemy and we want nothing other than to
bring you misery and defeat. So, our warriors will find yours no matter where they
hide, ranked above or below, hiding in a spider-hole, behind Lady Mordraith's skirt,
or cooking in Otto's diner. They will be dragged onto the sands and a sword run into
their guts. You hypocrites whine that you wouldn't do the same, yet you do the exact
same to us and then try to justify it by saying "well you did it first." There is no
difference, either you have or have not down-challenged. And, most of you hold your
warriors out of the arenas for years until they have ridiculous experience and then
dump them into the arena and challenge warriors with a fraction of the experience.
Don't you dare act better than us, you filthy animals. Go ahead and continue to hide
in your little groups and whisper about our tactics, but at least we don't pretend to
act like something we are not, like the rest of you pathetic hypocrites. Our mission
is to destroy our enemy and anything within the rules of the game will be employed to
make this happen. You stand against us and you will feel it. -- Den
