SPY REPORT
Recently we have been accused of partisanism in the Spy Reports. The Yellow Press is
appalled by such an accusation. We have been in Shadowspire since the beginning with
our first report being published on Turn 2. But, in the interest of taking all
criticism with some modicum of grace, I want to present to you the new "Fair and
Balanced" Spy Report for Shadowspire!
In response to a meandering, "You're either with us or against us!" speech by Den a
few turns previously, The Empress Wu let it be known that she is whole-heartedly
against the AA by bloodfeuding Havana Black. While typically bloodfeuds are relegated
to the 4th or 5th page of our publication, this bloodfeud also had the pleasure of
being a title match! The Empress Wu defeated Havana Black in a blood feud title shot.
The Empress Wu maintains that she is a strong, independant woman and will "punch their
teeth in with a shield" if anyone wants to press her on the issue. Congrats to The
Empress Wu and condolences to Havana Black! The question on everyone's mind is, will
we see a rematch next turn?
Dragonbane Guild avoided Inebriation the most for the turn. Rumors have swirled about
alcohol addiction in the Inebriation guild house for years. The SYP is still waiting
for our information requests to be answered from the Shadowspire officials. We have
requested arrest records for public intoxication and riding horseback while impaired,
and various other alcohol related charges. Nothing but the facts for you fine folks
and The Yellow Press promises to get to the bottom of it! The other facts for the
turn include Thrax from Warmasters challenged down in recognition by 2 points to No-
Teeth Keith of Shanghaied. No-Teethe Keith killed Thrax and leaves Warmasters with
the task of recruiting a new warrior for next cycle. The debate will rage on this one
as to whether it was actually a down challenge. Sure, it was down by 2 points, but it
was up by 6 FE. What says the masses?
Now, some more of those pesky facts as we seek to be "Fair and Balanced": the AA wins
the down challenge award again this turn. Old Mill of Inebriation challenged down 15
points and 9 FE to fight Two-Ton Timmons of Shanghaied. The only redeeming quality of
a fight this caliber is Old Mill lost! War Machine, Warmasters, and From the Left
also posted down challenges, but each of those bring us back to the above debate
concerning arena recognition and FE, so I only mention them in passing.
Death, death, and more death. It is a fact that no one gets out of this life alive,
so be sure to live a little. Shadowspire was quite bloody this turn with 10 deaths.
The majority of those came via the Dark Arena, but the warriors are no less dead than
if they died by any other means. Den sent his 3 top warriors to the Dark Arena, two
of which had winning records. Callamytie of Doom Brigade bids farewell to arms and
life as he was put down by Wilt the Stilt of NBA Legends. This death coincides with
Doom Brigade's sending of Fenn and Vilbradr to the Dark Arena. Big Lake Outcasts and
Doom Brigade will be sporting many new warriors next turn, so luck to you both in the
recruiting process.
The top 3 teams remained unchanged as Cult of Bacchus, Warmasters, and Inebriation
hold on to the top 3 coveted positions for one more turn. The tiny sliver of 1 kill
separates Warmasters and Inebriation, each sitting at 10-5-0 for the last 3 turns.
Kudos go to Shanghaied as they went 5-0-1 this turn, improving their already
impressive overall record to 35-20-1. I am impressed you made it to 35 victories
before registering your first kill. Congrats to Blackhart! With the 5-0-1 turn,
Shanghaied also jumped into the top 5, moving up 6 spots from 10th to 4th. La
Pentarchie rose 8 spots to 11th following a 3-0 turn. Send in the new recruits, Le
Pentarque! NBA Legends also climbed 8 places to take over the 15th position. New
team, From the Left, on their 2nd turn in Shadowspire improved upon their 2-3 opener
to go 3-2 and march up the ranks to 16th. The biggest drops this turn came from Big
Lake Outcasts and Bone Munchers. They each fell 5 places respectively, taking over
the 18th and 19th positions.

Reporter for the Shadowspire division, vow to report the "Fair and Balanced" news to
you good citizens. Or not, it really depends on which golems are working correctly
each week. My nephew Abe has given me 2 new reporting golems. One has TMZ stamped on
its forehead, and the other is marked with The Onion. I am not sure what either of

snitch, and you've pretty much lost all of my respect. Oh, wait; there wasn't any to

a far more comprehensive body of gladitorial experience than they themselves possess.
Through this process of 'paying it forward,' you have proven yourself
(unintentionally, I'm sure) to be the type of persont those of us who have been
playing this game longer should strive to be more like: a paragon of altruistic
virtue. You have, by doing this, up-challenged us all to be better people, both in
