SPY REPORT
Good afternoon, duel fans! I am back, so you can rest easy in knowing that the
greatest spy reporter this side of the Twisted Lands is back in the carriage driver's
seat! Did you miss me? What do you mean you didn't know I was gone? How rude! Now
that my mood has been completely soured on this arena day, let's get to the fights...
you ungrateful...
Boalzebul was a proactive Duelmaster and posted a challenge to Three Sheets from
the Shanghaied guild. It looked like an even match to the odd-makers, but this is why
we have the fights. It took 2 minutes, but Shadowspire crowns a new Duelmaster.
Three Sheets has taken over the throne and a few of the local taverns. The rumor is
his moniker isn't just a fancy stage name, but an earned alias. Translation: He knows
how to let loose! Normally, I would say drinks on me, but that seems like a bad
investment at this juncture.
The most avoided team was Cult of Bacchus, and they were avoided the most by Kill
Em All. The most challenged warrior for the turn was not the Duelmaster! It was the
guy standing next to the Duelmaster in the rankings--Moduin of Darque Ages. Moduin
received a challenge from Sphinx of Monster Manual. It was a good one for sure, but
Moduin came out on top. He didn't take the throne, but did take the Chartered
Recognition Leader award. In other challenge news, Bottom Feeder looks down in the
rankings to challenge Special Purpose of Big Lake Solution, 16 points below him. It
was another entertaining match as Bottom Feeder didn't bottom feed very well. He lost
to Special Purpose in 4 minutes.
Cult of Bacchus takes over the top spot from Monster Manual. The Cult enjoyed a
3-0 turn, but we missed their 2 newest recruits. Some managers like to take a nice
look at their new warriors before sending them onto the sands (or to torchlight).
Monster Manual slipped out of the number 1 spot after going 1-4-0 and took over 5th
place. Pray the Gods shot up the rankings by 8 spots to take possession of 2nd place.
5-0-0 turns have a way of rewarding you, so good work to Pray the Gods. Their 8 rank
rise is the largest of the week. Big Lake Solution slipped by 1 into 3rd, and Darque
Ages climbed 5 places to take hold of 4th. The biggest loss of the turn belongs to
Wicked Martyrs, after they fell by 5 into 11th.
There isn't much to report on the death front this turn. Unlike our guest
reporter last turn, I am disappointed in you guys and gals for not showing a little
bit more initiative in clearing out your competition. Yellow Belley of Kill Em All
ate dirt and pushed daisies after Poetry Slam introduced him to the sharp end of a
weapon (or blunt, I admit, I didn't watch it). I know now that I should have watched
it because it was on of the more interesting matches. Poetry Slam challenges down by
25 points and kills Yellow Belley. We've seen Kill Em All employ this tactic as well,
so I doubt there is much sympathy to go around for them. The feud should be super
interesting!
That is it from me, ya pack of animals! I'll see you back next turn, or maybe I
won't! Who am I kidding? Phineas isn't going to let me loose in any other arena. I
guess we are stuck with one another for now. Maybe Sidara would like to change
assignments for a bit. I'm sure those Andorians could use my Delarquan wit in Seam,
and you knuckleheads didn't seam to mind Sidara's "love everyone" nonsense. Whatever!

SUMMER FACE-TO-FACE IN ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA
We have planned our summer FTF for July 13-15, 2018, in Arlington, Virginia, only 7
miles on a quick Metro ride from Washington, D.C.!. It will be held at the Holiday
Inn Arlington at Ballston. Room rates are $79 per night on 7/12 and 7/15 and $129 on
7/13 and 7/14, 1-2 occupancy. There's free wireless throughout the property as well
as a fitness center, outdoor pool, and business center, as well as a resturant and bar
inside the hotel. There is no airport shuttle and parking is $7/day. The rooms are
blocked -- ask for the Reality Simulations block. Reservations must be made by 6/12.
