Welcome to Shadowspire, the Jewel of the No-Tourney arenas! It has been nearly 10
turns since our last special report, and that one focused in upon our Best (and Worst)
graduates for each style. Today, we are going to take a look at the vaunted position
of Duelmaster!
With 335 turns in the books, there is much to report! I plan on giving you the cold,
hard data as well as a few fun facts about the premier position among the gladiators!

Notes from the arena champ.
Hey all! Master Darque here. Ever since getting his title of Lord Protector,
Innocent III has been drunk with power and this has lead to him being drunk in the
traditional sense as well. So, I'll be addressing the arena because he is unable to
pull his face from the sands.

No, you can't make the Duelmaster's address, you're in no condition! Now be quiet so I
can finish this quickly!

Hush! Anyway, Innocent is off to the Isle, particularly 106 and retirement. He
started life as 13-16-12-21-9-6-7 BA. He is slightly bonused in ATT and DEF (+2
each). The Commission says he is rather fond of learning INI skills and the HL, which
I never let him use because he wasn't strong enough. He prefers a VH/VL fighting
rhythm. Apart from the HL, complete unremarkable but good enough to hold the throne in
Shadowspire for 3 turns.

SPY REPORT
You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to SHADOWSPIRE once again! Biff! Pow! SHADOWSPIRE watched with
glee as OAKLEAF got knocked off top spot by OTTO'S DINER! Who can explain it? Not
you, not me, not SHANGHAIED's opponents, after watching them shoot up the ranks from
16th to 5th. Hmmmph! I always thought PLAGUE WRAITHS was an over-rated team and
they proved it with a 0-0-0! Some people say I ramble too much, I don't say anything
relevant. I repeat myself. I ramble. Well DYSLEXIC MUSIC moved up 3, to 3rd.
What's with QWINN? He actually beat LITERATE LOONS' TOM STOPPARD, and walked away
with 29 more points from the fight. SHADOWSPIRE has a Duelmaster who doesn't sit
back and get lazy. He challenged BIG LAKE SOLUTION's PRINCESS HOYT (16-19-3), which
should prove (ahem!) interesting. Try as she might, PRINCESS HOYT wasn't good enough
at persuading INNOCENT III to step down from the Duelmaster's throne... I suppose
you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your fellow fighters? Tough!
No matter the time or place, men will always duel. The most avoided team was
CULT OF BACCHUS. Management must be dealin', as the boys at SHANGHAIED ain't
reelin'! CULT OF BACCHUS' mad! How well I know the feeling of being the most
challenged warrior, PRINCESS HOYT! Don't make idle boasts, they may come back to
haunt you. NO-TEETH KEITH didn't quite know what to make of a challenge he received
from JAMIE BARTON of OHS ALUMNI, who is 19 points below him. JAMIE BARTON perhaps
got his just desserts, seeing as he was bested by NO-TEETH KEITH and ended up with 88
recognition points. I hate going to the effort of writing about the kind of fights
that SUMMIT SAGA gets in. It fights people like YOSHA, 15 points below. I thought
SUMMIT SAGA showed great skill and promise when it was subdued by YOSHA. All right,
so I slept through it! Big deal!
There have been some calls to lengthen the time limit. Do you want the fighters
to walk away, or not? Sending a warrior to the Dark Arena reminds the others they'd
better shape up. Tough beans, ALASKAN AMBER. That's what a 29-14-0 gets you. So
INEBRIATION sent ALASKAN AMBER to the Dark Arena. Big deal. Plenty more fighters
where ALASKAN AMBER came from. Dime a dozen... Now, Spyreporters... SLACK BABBATH
of DYSLEXIC MUSIC got 17 points for removing another young punk. Tough luck, PRAY
THE GODS! QWINN proved too determined for TOM STOPPARD. TOM STOPPARD was lucky to
go in the ring, with 15-10-0 to his credit. He will be remembered. Yeah, yeah,
MILEY killed SUNCHA, who was "too young to die." Well, he was a fighter, and that's
what you have to face. CLAN LONGBEARD's boys should be laying low. Now that CLAN
LONGBEARD's manager has gone and let PRINCESS HOYT kill WHING unchallenged, CLAN
LONGBEARD's fighters are fair game. Someone told BEAST WITHIN that OTTO'S DINER
never Bloodfeuded, that he'd have an easy kill. Well, I'm sure whoever misled you is
right sorry. Many a warrior has met his fate in a hungover stupor. You young
rapscallions, take note!
Many other cities have retirement homes for aged warriors. Any plans here? All
work and no play makes Olaf a dull fighter. Work and play no fighter dull Olaf.
