DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Wow. First a kill against the 50 FE immortal Uhkant and then a victory over Xiqueel to
take the throne. I wasn't sure I had another kill in me since I hadn't tasted blood in
34 fights. Although I seem to really like the taste of blood, I have to admit that I
would have felt really bad if I had killed Uhkant one turn earlier.
That said, the kill has moved me into 2nd place on the all-time kill list here in
Shadowspire and you know how we NBA Legends love to talk about our place on the all-
time records lists. I'm not sure how many turns I have left here -- I guess it depends
on whether I can hold onto the throne, but let me give fair warning that I will be
going for another kill to try to move into 1st place before I go.
For those looking to follow in my footsteps, I hope you don't value your win-loss
record too much. The constant bloodfeuds certainly don't help (although one gave me a
chance to be the duelmaster in my third fight). Since my record won't get me into the
Hall of Fame, I'm left with shooting for the Deadliest Warrior in Shadowspire history.

SPY REPORT
And you're back . . . yay. There is nothing I love more than an arena day of drinking
and carousing. If we could just find a way to make it less people-oriented and more
drinking focused, it would be a spectacular day! My mother warned me about becoming a
spy reporter. She said I would never cut it as a spy reporter because you had to be a
good listener and . . . I'm sure there was something else she said, but I wasn't
paying attention. Anyway, here I am killing it, so I guess she was wrong! Okay,
let's get into today's events before I doze off again.
Starting with the Duelmaster, we have Bonny Parker challenging Hakeem for the big
chair. Wait, I did not give that the proper setup. We have Bonnie Parker shooting
for the moon and challenging just as high in an attempt to become Duelmaster! Yeah,
that sounds better. Our dear Ms. Parker challenged up an astounding 64 points before
defeating Hakeem and taking over as our newest arena champion. Congrats to Bonnie
Parker on her well-earned feat!

As you can see by the arena stats, things are slightly off here in the arena. Many
teams have disappeared and not many new ones have appeared to replace them. We do
want to welcome Arduin to Shadowspire. They are off to a rough start with their debut
turn, but there is nowhere to go but UP! Make yourself at home and be sure to
introduce yourself to the locals. They are an unruly bunch, but they can be
entertaining at times.
There were no regular deaths in the arena today. It sounds odd calling them regular
deaths, but I can't think of a nice, short phrase to reference non-Dark Arena deaths.
There were lots of Dark Arena deaths to fill any void created by the lack of blood
flow in the regular arena. Six deaths by torchlight, which seems like a lot when
compared to the size of the arena. Four of those deaths can be credited to Arduin.
Alright, that is all from me, ya bums. You haven't done enough in the arena to
warrant a longer report. Eh, it isn't like my reports are much longer than this
anyway, but I always want to end these reports by expressing how utterly disappointed
I am in each of you. I will say congrats to Broken, who got his invitation to the
Isle. He will be leaving us next turn after fighting one final fight in our fair
arena. Okay! Okay! I'm going! See you next time!
