DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.

I am not little! I am of average height for the love of all that is holy. You start
out as a small child and the nickname follows you for the rest of your life. But, I
suppose Kaile the Little is better than my brother's nickname, he slept with a goat so
I guess "the Little" is better than what he is living with. Speaking of sleeping with
goats, Mutombo won't have to worry about that as I used my super-sharp dagger to
surgically remove some things. It was quite the show.

Den tells me that I will likely get booted from my throne next turn as we are fighting
on something he calls "maintenance", so I don't get to challenge any of those lazy
TP's masquerading as real warriors. Magna Carta is the only challenge I am truly
worried about, and with some actual effort, Den could have challenged him with Otto's
Busboy and assured my second turn as the Duelmaster here in Shadowspire. I'll post my
measurements when I get invited, but I like Hruan's measurements better.

I will introduce our new warrior Hayt Amazing, he is making his debut on turn 439.
Den explained that our recruits are slow in getting to us, evidently they are shipped
through something called the USPS and it turns out that the USPS is perhaps the most
pathetically operated organization in modern history and a true example of what
government does best, screw up our lives. Enough of my rant regarding the sad state
of affairs found in the USPS, I guess we will just wait for our recruits like the rest
of you. If I get one of those lazy TP's, I will tell you more about how pathetic
government is next turn.

SPY REPORT

It is colder than a witch's . . . no, I can't say that with all the kids around! It
is frostier than a well digger's. . . probably shouldn't say that one either. It's
cold! How about that? Welcome back to The Spire. We had an exciting turn today,
despite the chilly weather. Regardless, it was a great day to be in the arena, and I
can't wait to tell you bums all about it! So, let's get started where we always do
and discuss the Duelmaster.

Kaile the Little was our defending champion in today's games. She took the title last
turn after our former Duelmaster's exit to the Isle of the Eye. It was time for the
first title defense, and Kaile got a challenge from Magna Carta. It was a quick fight
that witnessed Magna Carta taking the throne of Shadowspire. Congrats to Magna on
taking the title, but she will have to relinquish it next turn when she leaves for the
Isle. You know what this means, ya bums? We will have a new Duelmaster next turn!

The most avoided team today is once again Big Lake Solution. They were avoided more
by Pray the Gods than by any other guild. The most challenged warrior today was Saul
Bellow. He was near the top of the rankings, so there were many competitors below
him. Sir Charles of NBA Legends faced off against one of Shadowspire's Literate
Loons, and it was a long one! Sir Charles finally emerged as the victor after a 7-
minute fight.

In other news, there were only Dark Arena deaths this cycle. Clan Longbeard remains at
the top of the 3-turn rankings with a nice 12-3 record. There was also no change in
the second and third spots with Literate Loons and NBA Legends remaining stationary.
Our new entries into the top 5 are Cult of Bacchus and Wicked Martyrs. Darque Ages
and Far Travelers dropped out to make room for them. We welcome back Childhood
Heroes. We also hope that a rough 0-5 re-entry into the arena will not discourage
them from returning next time.

Time for me to wrap this up. I know, I know - you want me to stay and continue to
tell you how great I am! I would love nothing more than to dangle my personal
superiority over all of you, but I have other responsibilities and cannot be bothered
to stay here. I will return in two weeks to give you more exciting, breath-taking
news about . . . myself. I might even talk about the things taking place in the
arena. You will just have to come back and hear what I have to say! See you next
