DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
It finally happened! I was able to get a challenge through to the Duelmaster, and it
paid off BIG! Thanks to Kaile for not avoiding me or challenging anyone else. I
should probably thank Den for those things. I'm not going to be here long since I got
the invite, which is alright with me. I prefer immortality to giving some upstart the
chance to end it all for me on the sands.
I'm built a little different from the other girls. I am 16-18-10-21-9-3-7 and nothing
has changed since I started in the arena. The Commission says that I like the SC,
HI/VL, and enjoy learning INI routines. Nothing too shocking in those revelations. I
am off to Home Guard where I will be training for the foreseeable future. The boss is
planning for me to have a long stay in Freshmen.
I am not challenging or avoiding anyone this turn, so may the throne go to the
strongest.

SPY REPORT
We're back in the arena and at it again! What is "IT," you ask? It is fighting,
challenging, winning, losing, dying, and everything else. Okay, so "it" is lots of
things, but "its" sounds strange. Enough of this prattle! Let's look at all the cool
stuff that happened on the sands today.
A chill is still in the air as winter is upon us, but I kinda like it. The steam
rising from spilled blood is a cool effect! We entered the turn with Magna Carta as
our Duelmaster; however, she was leaving us for the Isle. We need a new arena
champion! Sai was unable to overcome Magna, so we moved to recognition points. This
is where the turn gets interesting!
Magna had taken the throne from Kaile the Little previously, but as Den has expressed,
this was not an ideal match-up for Kaile. Instead, Kaile challenged Mutombo, one of
our plenteous TPs in The Spire. Kaile had 3 kills to his credit before today's fights.
Was it a surprise to anyone that he scored another? Not really! This kill allowed
Kaile to leap high into the rankings and snag the Duelmaster's title. Congrats to
Kaile, who is managed by Den.
Big Lake Solution is this turn's most avoided team. Dragonbane Guild ran away anytime
BLS showed up in the arena. Anton Chekhov is once again our most challenged warrior.
Sailsa wanted to take advantage of a 50+ fight warrior above him in the rankings. It
did not go as planned! Anton devastated Sailsa, and he remains comfortably in the
Challenger Champions' class. Mutombo, unfortunately for him, was our only non-Dark
Arena death.
Welcome to the new teams that have joined us! It is always great to see fresh faces
on the sands of The Spire. Join me in welcoming Toilet Paper and The Church to our
fine arena. Pull up a chair and introduce yourselves to the arena. Your first drink
is on me at Otto's Diner, but you are responsible for your meal and subsequent medical
charges. Goodbye to Magna Carta and Tristan, who left after fighting this turn. Next
turn, we will bid Kaile the Little a fond farewell too.
I think that about wraps up this report. See you bums in about 2 weeks! We will get
a new Duelmaster. I doubt the transition will be as dramatic as this turn, but it is
always nice to show up and see how it all unfolds. NBA Legends has a solitary warrior
in the Challenger Champions, so a bloodfeud is possible! Will it happen? No one
knows until we come back. So, come back to get the answer as well as enjoy the other

SUMMER FACE-TO-FACE IN MINNEAPOLIS!
Our summer Face-to-Face is in the midwest again this year, and we're going back to the
Twin Cities! We hope you will join us at our summer FTF in Bloomington, MN on July 12-
14, 2024! It will be held at the Embassy Suites Minneapolis Airport (800-317-8143).
Room rates are $164/$174 for king and 2 doubles suites respectively, and all have free
high speed internet and all the Embassy goodness (free made-to-order breakfast,
complimentary manager's reception, airport shuttle, indoor pool, business center and
on-site restaurant. The rooms are blocked and the code is "915."

Please note that doubles are limited. As always, if the block is full, please make
your reservation the best you can (book a king, and/or book at normal rates) and let
