Hail and well met warriors of DWES EG! Know me for who I am, Zontani Sharp
Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. I have begun to suspect trickery on
the part of ROMAN DIVINITY. How else weeks like this one's 1-2-0? How else the
sudden move to 10th team? The proverbial rising comet can only hope to compare with
VICTORIAN's team record! A 1-0-0 week and now a firm grasp on a 17th place ranking.
TREES bore the brunt of major assault on their standings this week as they dropped to
29th position as the result of going 0-1-0! My tutors were fond of telling me that
the higher you rise the harder you fall. This week LIGHT WEIGHTS went 0-1-0 and fell
15 notches into 30th! I have begun to suspect trickery on the part of CAT SOUP. How
else weeks like this one's 1-0-0? How else the sudden move to 31st team? The
proverbial rising comet can only hope to compare with BLOODHAMMER CLAN's team record!
A 1-2-0 week and now a firm grasp on a 32nd place ranking. HARVEST DAY bore the
brunt of major assault on their standings this week as they dropped to 33rd position
as the result of going 1-4-0! I have begun to suspect trickery on the part of MOONS
OF KRYNN. How else weeks like this one's 0-3-0? How else the sudden move to 38th
team? My tutors were fond of telling me that the higher you rise the harder you
fall. This week THIRSTY THUGS went 0-1-0 and fell 28 notches into 49th! HAMBURGER
TRAIN caught the eye of many in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested 3
WIT and was awarded 22 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable
duels, HAMBURGER TRAIN put down 3 WIT, causing her to lose 16 points of recognition
in the process. As is fitting, the most sought after warrior on the challenge boards
this week was none other than Duelmaster RUIN himself. Not for nothing has RUIN in
the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this week he's proven his combat
skill yet again. Would you believe that over half of the old women in DWES EG seem
to feel that they could fight better than you gladiators?
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. My inside sources tell me that the
team to beat in DWES EG these days is BIG TEN 3. At least, most blades in town are
looking to avoid them. Apparently the stalwarts of LIGHT WEIGHTS are catching the
bulk of jests down at the challenging board for their large share of the avoids.
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? Fate is a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune
but sets enemies against the victorious. Remember this!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? More than a sharp eye must I keep, indeed a
stout pair of legs must I keep as well! The endless paths of Alastari await me!
