Notes from the arena champ.
I'd be like so totally speechless about being Duelmaster again if I didn't have
to talk about it, and I really feel like I should talk about it since beating
Cyclidia who's like so brave about her problem in like a really feminist girl-power
type way by saying like, "My namesake's Cyclidia and I really suffer from this
horrible disease and it's like really important that we do like research and stuff to
support it," and I really admire her that way especially since Eye told Letter
Sweater that both Delilah and Trake have the same like feminine problem and I don't
think it's cuz they're loose or slutty or anything but maybe they should just like
pick all their different boyfriends more carefully or something like that, ya know.
But I'm so like proud and even happy that both the Oldies and Michael Eldritch
like my column cuz I've been told that it's like really the hottest read around and
like almost Shakespearianish or even Lindsay Lohanish and both the Library of America
and Maxim magazine want to publish me but I haven't really decided which one to go
with cuz I have to worry about my like prosperity or whatever it's called when like
old people a long time from now worry about and judge stuff.
And anyway it's like such a bummer that I can't really like challenge anyone but
I can still avoid and I really think I should avoid Cyclidia since I'm still not sure
how like contagious she is, but besides her I'm just gonna leave it as like a free-
for-everyone and just like let the chips fall wherever they happen to and just like
put all my faith in whoever that guy above is with the big white beard and art school
smock even though he's like totally out of style and doesn't know the first thing
about fashion but even so I hear he's kind of important so maybe I should just like
thank him and leave it at that, ya know.

You elder fighters surely remember me. The younger ones may call me Olaf
Modeen. I return to TELORINTHE once again! Hmmmph! I always thought REJECTS was an
over-rated team and they proved it with a 1-4-0! Up 'n down. Up 'n down. Rankings
always change. Up 'n down. I think I'm gonna be... Well, FEMME FATALE II's 7th
moved them up to 2-3-0 place. THE ASCENDANTS showed TELORINTHE what they were made
of as they fought with a vengeance to walk off with 4-1-0. What's with LILITH? She
actually beat AAAARRGH HAMMERZ's ROYAL RAGE HAMMER, and walked away with 22 more
points from the fight. Major screwup at AAAARRGH HAMMERZ. ROYAL RAGE HAMMER lost 17
points to LILITH. Some new strategies, perhaps? Maybe ROYAL RAGE HAMMER will
provide more easy wins... VETERAN MERCENARY was reminded on the sands why GOSSIPID
is Duelmaster. I suppose you want to hear some rumors and dirty gossip about your
fellow fighters? Tough!
No matter the time or place, men will always duel. TELORINTHE thinks THE
ASCENDANTS and their 36-23-0 is too much! If at first you don't succeed, give up...

LYRIAL that BAD SIGNS never Bloodfeuded, that she'd have an easy kill. Well, I'm

master many skills, fight dirty.

idea where it is or what it is or isn't doing. I'd help if I could, but this is

Status report: Would you believe that the contractor has ripped all the old vinyl
tiles and actual antique linoleum off my floors and now I can't walk across the room
without sticking to the old (which I asked him to do because it was ugly and there's
wood underneath) glue? Yeah, I didn't believe it, either. Until I tried to walk
across the floor. Good thing I was wearing shoes! But cheese loueese! There's a
lot more to renovating an old house than I had expected, and this despite the fact
that I *knew* it needed a lot of work. All new plumbing, I expected that--the old
stuff had burst all over the place. All new paint inside, of course, gods, you
should see what was in there to begin with! Talk about adventures in living! I
think I'm going to have to put my computer up under the roof to be high enough to get
a line-of-sight on the top of the water tower, which is where the internet company
has their repeater.
