Notes from the arena champ.
After ten straight DM Titles, I hardly have the arm strength to write another
column. But I will be in my black box home waiting to talk to anyone who wants to
chat. Bring money for penance as I am running out of prayers for you to say. They
don't seem to help you much anyway. The cash will help me.
Coach made me write that I have to welcome all newbies and everybody, I guess,
to Telorinthe. What the heck! The more people we have, the more confessions, the
more cash. I may just like this!

SPY REPORT
Good day, in TELORINTHE a quiet thief gets rich, but a quiet spymaster gets
poor. So bring me ale and harken to my tidbits of news. The NONSUCH HOUSE guild has
had a 4-1-0 turn and deserves to be watched in the future. You never know where this
kind of thing can lead. And let's see, WASNIS fought KARIN LO and gained 15 points
and contributed to OLLIS HEROES' 3-2-0. KARIN LO has lost to WASNIS, falling 13
points, while helping make MIDDLE WAY 21 a 2-3-0 turn. This turn CONFESSION
challenged PARALDOXIA in what was TELORINTHE's Title bout. Defending its title for
another turn, CONFESSION kept ZEITGEIST's warrior, PARALDOXIA, from claiming the
throne. By the way, was that our Duelmaster that I saw last night, cramped under the
table at The Warty Toad?
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. I also notice that the DEATH'S CHOSEN stable
was the most avoided team this turn. Come on TELORINTHE, what are you afraid of?
And guess who avoided DEATH'S CHOSEN stable the most? Believe it or not, it was
OLDIES. Anyone surprised? The most challenged warrior this turn was ZEITGEIST's
warrior GUSHAN. More fighters challenged him than challenged the Duelmaster! VODI
from OLLIS HEROES took a risk this turn by bravely challenging up 53 points in a
challenge against GUSHAN. Sad to say, VODI lost to GUSHAN, and the attempt ended up
costing VODI 0 recognition points. In a brave attempt, TOA JALLER from OLLIS HEROES
challenged up 23 points to fight QUITA REMMING from the MIDDLE WAY 21 stable. TOA
JALLER perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he won victory over QUITA REMMING and
ended up with 90 recognition points.
The Dark Arena is for those who cannot win, not who cannot lose with grace.
Dignity in life or death is the warrior's creed. Is it really true that TELORINTHE
has more dishwashers per capita that fighters? Just thought I'd ask...
I like this place, TELORINTHE, the taverns have old wine, and young serving
girls. Who could ask for more? Always good to rest in TELORINTHE, but never good to
