Notes from the arena champ.
So sorry about the failure to get a column done previously These things take
time and that has simply been in short supply recently. Yeah, even in a slow arena.
What can I say, I'm slow...
Speaking of slow, did you catch the challenge by Kellumbo's Inits? Thought you
could take down the big old Rook? Not so easy as sweeping a category in a
tournament is it? Oh, and you don't get to enter tournaments, do yah? So, who is
that a bad sign for?
Okay, enough trying to talk tough. That really isn't my thing. Usually I just
sort of stand quietly in the corner of the board until all of a sudden bursting forth
and crushing the opposition as I sweep across the board. Not a bad comparison,
really.
And with that I shall leave you to your own musings as we get ready for the next
turn. Will it be Petro Slam or another shot for Kellumbo's Inits? Keep musing, for
only time will tell.

SPY REPORT

Eyes, Spymaster extraordinaire of all Alastari. NED PREWETT caught the eye of many
in the gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested THE USEROUS MERCHANT and was
awarded 16 points in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels,
KELLUMBO'S INITS. put down PETRO SALM, causing him to lose 11 points of recognition
in the process. This time victory fell to the grasp of the usurper. All hail OLOVOR
PARIS, Duelmaster of TELORINTHE! Heed this! A seer has warned that if exactly 6 die
in duels this week, the whole city shall perish! Just remember...5 or 7!
I have been in deep conclave with my spies who watched all that has recently
transpired. Indeed there is much I would report. I saw one fighter that warriors
avoided when this week's challenge seeking began. CHAPEL OF THE GHOULS is feared.
This much I can say. Methinks more than a few here could name the guild it was that
spent the better part of last week avoiding CHAPEL OF THE GHOULS. Indeed it was BAD
SIGNS. Mighty fighters cannot but expect competition from those below. PETRO SALM
take warning! You have more than a few enemies in TELORINTHE.
Vendettas. Bloodied blades and broken spears. Indeed the city has seen more
than its fair share of red in recent times. Some say a warrior is judged by the way
he bears arms. One thing is sure, better a dagger in hand then a sword on the belt!
If it were not for my skills as a spy I would have been mugged three times

Telorinthe -- It was a sad day when the Consortium chose to leave the arena. I
entered the arena for two main reasons: 1. Because I like the no-tourney format.
2. Because I liked the idea of competing with the Consortium. Now, one of those two
reasons is gone. And the arena itself is tiny. I hope the Consortium returns, but
if he doesn't it is possible that the House will close its doors. I'd like to see
Rook graduate, but that may be a ways away. And with the death of Silverback, the
shot at graduating all 5 off of the team sheet was lost. Come back Consortium! --
