Nemesis paced around in the dark room with shelves of history and magic books,
along with a table and a scroll/quill and ink kit. A candle glowed dimly as the only
light source in the room, reflecting her shadow on the wall. This was her secret
hiding place.
"How could they have known it was me?" she wondered aloud.
She looked at the scroll that had said the message about Riff Raff. She still
didn't know what The Trump would want to do with Telorinithe.
She walked to the Dragon Master's place where Queen Artemis had met up as well.
She spread the letter out on the table. "Trump is planning something, I know it. The
Chaos Gate must have got his attention. many people are here to get away-"
The Dragon Master cut in and said, "Maybe he is trying to buy the abandoned
part of town and rebuild buildings and factories there. Then he can stop the 'danger'
at the Chaos Gates and make a whole new town there. That would seem like a thing Trump
would do."
"Hmm... maybe you're right... but how do we stop it?"
"What if we try to get Riff Raff on our side? That way, we can teach him and we
can face Trump all as one?" Queen Artemis offered.
"Wait, whoa whoa whoa... We can't just suddenly trust him! Who knows what will
happen if he-" Nemesis began.
"I think it's a great idea," Dragon Master said, almost glaring at her.
"Well-um-um-" Nemesis was indecisive. She was torn between the two. She needed a
break, she couldn't watch and see them arguing, all being able to trust and train a
stranger, and she stormed out of the room.
Riff Raff, Wailin' Van Halen, and White Lion walked down that street and saw her.
"It's her-!" Wailin' Van Halen began.
She glanced at them with a look of pure hatred, then darted around the corner,
disappearing.
"Where did she go?" Wailin' Van Halen asked.
"She left, you oaf!" White Lion exclaimed.
"Guys, I think you should see this.." Riff Raff said. It was the letter to
Trump.
A twig snap, a whiff of scent, a glimpse of movement... he ran uphill between the
thinning trees, along the thinning river running past him. The goat stumbled as it
climbed, and he threw his staff.
"A goat?!" she complained, and tied it up in their thinning village pasture.
"For milk, not meat," he elucidated.
Cheese for breakfast, cheese for lunch... but they were thinning, too.
DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
Not getting in ads the first turn we were back in Telorinthe was understandable
-- we were busy getting back into the swing of things and getting the old Guild Hall
cleaned up and worthy of our residence. But missing the second turn, well, that just
isn't acceptable. That shall have to be remedied. We are indeed a team from the
early days of this arena and are pleased to make our return. Hopefully we shall be
here for some time. It is nice to see arena membership up from what it was when we
left. Lets keep it this way!
As for the fighting on the sands, things haven't been quite as shiny as the old
Guild Hall recently. 3-7?? That'll bring the old team record down in a hurry. About
the only thing worth cheering is my spot on this throne. Indeed, Mother-In Law was
correct when thinking that she should avoid me. Actually, so far every lady with an
eligible daughter has been avoiding becoming my mother-in-law, but I suppose that is a
bit different. In fact, for me, I think having a Mother-in-law might even be a good
sign. Or at least an unexpected one. Maybe it is a bad sign for the mother? They
seem to think so anyway as they all run away dragging their daughters after them.
Personally I think that is very unfair. But maybe some time on this throne again will
make them reconsider? I mean, who could resist having a Duelmaster for a son-in-law?
Surely, nobody!
Ah, but for that to work I will need to hang onto this particular piece of
furniture -- the seat, throne, chair or whatever they call this spot whereupon sits
the greatest fighter in Telorinthe! That's me! Yah, hear that, all you mothers out
there! The best fighter in Telorinthe! At least for this turn anyway. I see a lot
of Bad Signs below me. And one Wetworks who seems very out of place. Certainly there
is one there that I can defeat. We shall see. For now I intend to enjoy this seat
and try and encourage my comrades to train a bit harder in order to improve on this
ugly restart. It is good to be back Telorinthe!

SPY REPORT
Welcome TELORINTHE. I, Olaf Modeen remember this place well. Many the fights
have I fought here. The celebrations, the disappointments... Hmmmph! I always
thought THE DRAGONS was an over-rated team and they proved it with a 3-2-0! Ya gotta
be quick on yer feet! Keep your elbow off the table! Thrust! Block out the pain!
HOUSE OF FUR is now ranked 2nd with a 4-1-0 turn. Har har har! Did ROOK wimp out,
or just get lazy? Anyway, he's not Duelmaster anymore. I'm sure TELORINTHE is
excited about HURRICANE SEASON, the new Duelmaster from BAD SIGNS. (remember?) But
when you've seen as many as I have... Wouldn't it be nice to have live subjects to
practice on? I hear some team is looking into the uses of convicted prisoners.
Speaking of cowardly avoiders and unfair challenges... TELORINTHE thinks
CONJURE UP THE SUN and their 38-27-1 is too much! If at first you don't succeed,
give up... In my day, no team with a 36-24-1 would scare me off! What's the
problem, KAME HOUSE? What do people see in A SMOKING WOMAN? Hers 5-13-1? SCORPIO'S
LIKES: ain't talkin', but she's got 29 points. Fighting is a better craft than
farming, SKY, but you have to pay your dues. Being challenged by HEAT WAVE, 16
points above you, is dues. Just who can HEAT WAVE beat? I mean, the last matchup
with lesser-ranked SKY shoulda been a piece of cake! J.J. WATT didn't quite know
what to make of a challenge he received from RED DEATH of THE DRAGONS, who is 22
points below him. RED DEATH perhaps got his just desserts, seeing as he won victory
over J.J. WATT and ended up with 64 recognition points. I hate going to the effort
of writing about the kind of fights that PUKEI gets in. It fights people like
BRONZEN, 10 points below. I thought PUKEI showed great skill and promise when it
beat BRONZEN. All right, so I slept through it! Big deal!
A fighter's lot is filled with strife, revenge, and killing. Some fighters
don't accept this. The best do. Methinks CONJURE UP THE SUN's desire for revenge
against BAD SIGNS passes with each passing moment... One week left guys! Let's get
on with the show! Here's some advice: study your opponent, master many skills,
fight dirty.

as tired of reading this as I am of writing it? Actually, I guess I'm writing it

The Nonsuch House returns to Telorinthe. It has been a long absence but changes
elsewhere in Alastari have brought the odd collection of warriors back to the sands
here, hopefully for quite some time. Certainly my intent in most arenas is to be a
steady presence. It is good to see the arena doing well with a solid dozen teams.
This made the decision to return even easier. Now if only some of you would fight
something other than strikers -- a few pikers or plungers, anyone? Only one piker in
the whole arena, but he does sit on the throne. Perhaps the rest of you could see if

SUMMER FACE-TO-FACE IN TAMPA, FLORIDA
We have planned our summer FTF for July 19-21, 2019, in Tampa, Florida. It will be
held at the Embassy Suites Tampa Airport Westshore. Room rates are $125 per night,
