HOUSE OF FUR
Just as Nemesis ran out the door, Queen Artemis stepped in. "Aaaah!" White Lion
screamed, demolishing another chair.
Queen Artemis raised her eyebrows. "I mean you no harm," she whispered softly.
Choco, stepping in with weapons in hand, scanned the area. Queen Artemis stared at
the warrior as he put his scimitar away. "Why did you bring that?" she hissed.
Choco, confused at the question, stared back, "I thought we were fighting!" he
replied. Artemis only rolled her eyes at his answer.
"And who might you be?" Riff-Raff asked, worried that it might be another foe.
"I am Queen Artemis, goddess of the hunt and manager for House of Fur."
Everyone stood silently until Choco finally spoke up. "I'm hungry," he whined. Riff-
Raff looked at Wailin' Van Halen and rolled his eyes. Queen Artemis, the unmatched
master eye-rolling, replied with disbelief, "How many times a day do you eat?" She
handed him a piece of meat and the happy warrior began to munch on his prize.
"Sorry about my warrior," Queen Artemis apologized. "He's fine," Riff-Raff replied,
surprised at the manner of the goddess-warrior. "Back to the reason I am here," said
Artemis, "why did you come to Telorinthe?"
Riff-Raff looked back to his traveling companions and back again, "We're... traveling!
Yes! A fine trip indeed!" Wailin' Van Halen replied awfully quick.
The goddess looked unconvinced, "Sure!" she thought as she bit her lip. "Are they
here to harm us? she asked herself. She then spoke to the visitors, "Come with me!
I'll be your tour guide in Telorinthe."

Once they got outside, the visitors saw the rest of the goddess's warriors. "They are
with me," Artemis said to Riff-Raff's crew. "This is Garfield, Hershey, Midnight,
and..." she motioned to Choco, "you have already met Choco."
"I see you have a... strong team," White Lion muttered in a little mocking tone.
Riff-Raff glared at him, and then White Lion realized his mistake. Queen Artemis did
not seem to hear him as she introduced another warrior that joined them. "Oh, and
this is JJ, a warrior from my brother's guild. You may know them as NFL Network."
As they traveled through the streets, Queen Artemis could feel eyes staring at her and
her warriors. She shrugged. "They are just looking," she thought. While the House
of Fur guild was fine with the stares, the others were not.
JJ was muttering to himself, "Why do they keep looking? Why aren't they bothered by
it? Why are they carrying so many weapons? Why wouldn't people stare at us?" He
continued, "But also, we have the newcomers with us. She is showing them around? Why
is she showing them around?" JJ felt a sharp jab in his ribs.
He came out of his own thoughts and muttering to find Choco behind him. "Sorry for
the jab, but you were just standing there looking up. I called your name, but you
didn't respond. So, I... punched you," Choco squeaked, afraid JJ would punch him
back.
As the group rounded a corner, two large wolves were standing in their path. "AAARGH!
Wolves!" Riff-Raff screamed. Artemis looked surprised at the reaction. "These look
fierce and scary to you?" she asked. Riff-Raff now noticed he was the only one that
screamed, "Well, at times they are..."
Queen Artemis burst into laughter. "They travel through dangerous lands of monsters
and bandits, but these tame animals scare them!" Artemis snorted out between belly
laughs. Tears were rolling down her face. Once she regained her senses, she called
the wolves over. "Meet Tooth and Fang."
"Come!" she said sweetly and the wolves came bounding over to her side. "Shall we
continue?" she then asked her guests. They followed her further down the alley until
they reached a dead end. Artemis uttered some arcane words and the wall revealed a
door. Riff-Raff and his crew stood amazed at what they just saw.
"Welcome," Queen Artemis said as she gestured for them to enter. "Welcome to my
domain."

NFL NETWORK
Ha, people! They always get in the way. Like today, I watch my fellow manager,
Nemesis, walk into a tavern. Minutes, no seconds, later I hear screams and people
running out! All I could do was wonder about what could have happened and how earlier
three strange men had walked into the same tavern. Why were they here? And do they
have something to do with all the commotion?
So, I get this really stupid idea and run over to my guild house. I find one of my
warriors and say, "I need you to come with me! Don't ask any questions," in a voice
that makes him think twice about talking back. "Grab some swords and follow me!"
"Okay," was all the warrior managed to reply. Cam grabbed the swords and followed me.
A few minutes later, we rush back to the tavern. I see a large group standing
outside. Most of them I recognize as my sister and her collection of gladiators from
the local arena. The other three are the strangers. They are talking and Queen
Artemis looks like she is describing the city to the visitors. I'm thinking about
grabbing the rest of my crew and fighting our way to the bottom of this mystery.
Cam is twice as fast as me and probably twice as loud. I sent him to gather the rest
of the team. In a short while, we had everyone together. We went back towards the
tavern and Artemis was still jabbering. What was going on? Did my sister call in
some new allies? Who are these people?
I need more information. "JJ, go walk with them and listen to what they are talking
about!" I need time to think this over and JJ can eavesdrop on them while I plan.
"Everyone else stay with me! JJ! Go!"

The crowd's eyes followed the shell. It swam around the other ones, and then the flur
slowed and became hands, which lifted their shell: Nothing!
Smiles, gasps and wide eyes: "Whared it go?!" "By Devil!" "Amazing!"

Notes from the arena champ.
Duelmaster's Column -- DM83
One of the greatest responsibilities of a Duelmaster is to write a
column to state a fact, express an opinion, surmise on the quality of one's
opponent. And for this, I take the time to compliment Rook on fulfilling
his responsibilities. His manager, the well known and respected Nomad, of
parts all over Alastari, but thought to have originated in the vicinity of
Kolact, shared his thoughts on his return to this wonderful arena of
Telorinthe. However; wink-wink, nudge-nudge, an even greater
responsibility of the Duelmaster is to actually show up and defend his
honour and the honour of the throne, lest it fall into the hands of someone
completely undeserving; wink-wink, nudge-nudge.

SPY REPORT
Yay! It is arena day once again in Telorinthe! I am SOOO excited! I don't have
to tell you this my favorite day of the month! EEEK! There has been nothing in my
short life that compares to the thrill of coming to the arena and watching the fights.
I have always wanted to be a spy reporter! Well, I have always wanted to work in the
arena. I can't fight, so I thought the safest alternative would be spy reporter. I
thought I am less likely to be run through with a spear or sword in this profession,
but Debby Tonte told me that isn't 100% true. I don't know what she meant and I'm a
tad bit confused, but still EXCITED! Okay, I need to stay on target so I can finish
this report before my deadline. Let's talk about the arena fights!
Okay, let me see if I can recap the last few turns for everyone so we aren't
confused. I mainly mean, "Let me recap so I am not confused." Nonsuch House returned
to the arena few turns ago and Rook took the throne. Last turn, Nonsuch House was
absent, so Hurricane Season stormed in (see what I did there) and took over the big
chair. Now, we are here . . . as in now. Rook and Nonsuch House have returned.
Hurricane Season posted a challenge to Rook and the two met on the sands to finally
settle who is the Duelmaster. Rook was victorious! Congrats to Rook, who is managed
by Nomad. A hearty welcome to Nomad's crew, and we hope their success will keep them
with us in Telorinthe for many turns to come!
The most avoided team is Conjure the Sun. To quote one of my spy reporter idols,
"Back in my day, no one would be scared of a 40-30-1 record!" But, here we are today
. . . as in now, and Conjure the Sun is the most avoided team. They were most avoided
by Kame House. These two seem to have a feud brewing in the personal ads! How
EXCITING, right!?!? The most challenged warrior for turn 154 is Pogo of Scorpio
Likes:. Pogo got a challenge from Detention, and sadly folks, I have to report that
Pogo did not survive the turn. Condolences to Scorpio and his guild. I can report
that Scorpio's team was able to avenge the death of Maine against Wyan this turn. It
probably doesn't lessen the pain of losing a warrior, but I hope it helps!
There were a few deaths this turn and some bloodfeuds as well. King Killer has
killed Hershey. Sidara, the spy reporter over in Seam and my mentor, is a strong
believer in curses (she is a witch after all). I'm starting to think there are a few
curses attached to names in Telorinthe. Skyler and Hershey seem to be the unlucky
ones so far! I'll keep looking into it. Next, War Storm has fought his last after a
bout with DeShaun Watson. Some people say that death comes in threes. I have no idea
who those people are or why they say such things, but we have 3 deaths this turn. The
final death happened when Detention challenged and killed poor Pogo. So, my heartfelt
condolences to the dead and their teammates!
House of Fur takes over the top team spot from Kame House after a 4-1-0 turn.
The 11-4-0 over the last three turns is impressive! Good work, Queen Artemis! Kame
House went 3-2-0 and slipped to 2nd place. NFL Network also had a 4-1-0 turn and
snagged the Top Team on the Move. The Ferocious Five, Nemesis's crew, slipped one
place down into 4th. And rounding out the top 5, we have The Dragons. The biggest
gain for the turn was NFL Network's 3 rank jump. Conjure the Sun, who went 2-3-0, and
Sorcerer Kings, who went 1-4-0, share the shame of biggest slip by falling 3 ranks.
I have to go now! There are so many more EXCITING things to see and do around
the arena. I do want to welcome the new teams to the arena -- Gentleben and his
Queen's Guard team and 70's on 7. I am not sure who manages the 70's on 7 team, but I
am hoping they will introduce themselves to us! Oh, I almost forgot, Telorinthe has a
new Lord Protector. Congrats to Mother-in-Law on her promotion to Advanced Duel! I
can't wait to see each of you next turn!
