DUELMASTER'S COLUMN
Notes from the arena champ.
This throne is quite a comfortable chair. A guy could get used to sitting here. I
might have to stay awhile. And as Cam found out last turn, I'm not that easy to move.
I am, after all, named for a fortress type of building that tends to dominate the
chess board. So think of this arena as a chess board and this throne as the castle.
My castle. At least until someone around here beats me. Which I'm going to do my
best to avoid, since as I said, I kinda like this seat. And I suspect I might be here
for a bit -- say another 6 turns? Rumor has it that is when the commission will say
they have finally had enough of me and give me the boot. Really, it should be this
chair not a boot. But I guess I'll take footwear if I can get it. For now I just
need to try and make sure that I last that long.

SPY REPORT
Hello, my sweets! It is I, Sidara Brightbell, here to give you the spy report for
grand Telorinthe. It is a lovely city you have here. I have only been a few times for
shopping expeditions, but I do so love the pace of your wonderful city. The slow
arena cycles are quite relaxing, I must say. Oh, how rude of me not to introduce
myself! I am Sidara, as I have already told you. I am the regular spy reporter in
Seam. The owner of the Yellow Press, Phineas Rannulf, thought it would be a good idea
for us to have a spy reporter exchange in the no-tourney arenas. Your regular
reporter, Ori Starbloom, is in Shadowspire at the moment. So, with introductions out
of the way, let's look at turn 157, shall we?
Well, this is a disappointing development. Rook missed the games today! Now fighters
miss turns in the arena all the time, but it is rare when the Duelmaster does not make
an appearance! The weather has been frightful of late, so I hope it did not hinder
Nomad and his warriors from attending the games. No matter, the games continue! Our
title fight came down to a match between Hired by Trump and Stormfly. Striker vs.
Striker fights are always fun to watch, even though they are often quick! I am sad to
report that one of the warriors did not walk away from the fights. Stormfly has gone
to Ahringol's realm with a 9-2-0 record. Hired by Trump is your newest Duelmaster!
Congrats to HBT and condolences to Dragon Master and her crew for their loss.
The most avoided team for turn 157 is The Dragons. They were most avoided by NFL
Network. The most challenged warrior for the turn is Lalali-Puy of Sorcerer Kings.
She was challenged by Sir Cumbvent from the Queen's Guard guild. Reading what my
golem wrote of the fight, it appears to have been a short and sweet affair for Lalali-
Puy, who won in 1-minute. I've already offered my condolences to The Dragons, but I
also need to extend sympathy to House of Fur. Queen Artemis lost Bambi this turn to
Nick Chubb, her brother's warrior. I wonder if things will be awkward around the
dinner table later? There were also 2 Dark Arena deaths this turn, bringing the total
deaths to 4.
There is no top team this cycle as Sorcerer Kings and The Ferocious Five are tied at
10-5-0. Sorcerer Kings had a nice 4-1-0 turn that vaulted them to the top. The
Ferocious Five dropped a spot on paper, but otherwise, Nemesis' crew remains at the
top over the last 3 turns. Bad Signs has 3 kills over the last 3 turns and climbed
from 5th to 3rd. The Dragons slipped into 4th and Kame House rounds out the top 5.
The biggest gain appears to be Sorcerer Kings with their 7 spot jump, and the biggest
loss is a tie between House of Fur and NFL Network.
Time for me to go, my darlings! I do not know if I will be here next turn or moved to
another arena. I do so love my home in Seam, but I also enjoy traveling and meeting
new people! Whatever the case, enjoy your time in Telorinthe and prepare yourselves
